Someone here made a great point. The change of batter would have to have filed in the states already and had all the proper signatures, etc. An independent could start that process in May and lose just three states.
That would mean Phillips would be the only other democrat candidate. But they could beg Kennedy to come back into the fold. Or have Niki switch parties.
