😢😢😢😢 My veteran friend has PTSD and suffers from a lack of confidence and self esteem; trama does that. He has been put through the ringer and triggered severely by a very abusive relationship. I worry he will take his own life because he has lost all hope. It's been the saddest thing to watch. God is what he needs but he's stuck in flight or fight mode. He needs prayers. Please pray for the "hermit crab". God will know who you mean. I've seen miracles from prayers on this board and my friend desperately needs one. Thank you frens. I know there's a direct line to God in your efforts.

Strengthen him with your presence, draw him to know salvation through Jesus, and fill him with your Spirit and your peace. This may sound weird, but see if you can get him to take a round of Fenbendrazole. Often Vitamin C deficiencies and alcohol consumption alter the brain which lead to depression. It's completely harmless and there's a good chance he'll feel better about himself. Maybe even his veteran buddies will want to try it once they see his progress.
Not only this but parasites do affect mood!

I don’t know what state he lives in but I know many vets who’ve had great success using psychedelics for treatment of PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and substance abuse. You may want to suggest that to him and research the legal options available in his state.
Also- I take Propranolol which is a beta blocker. It helps tremendously with anxiety, ptsd and headache from traumatic brain injury. It’s been a a miracle for me. There are no notable side effects but it helps tremendously from that adrenaline dump you get when having anxiety and levels out emotions. It’s a very inexpensive drug. I hate big Pharma but this one med I can definitely recommend.
The VA puts everyone in SSRI’s, benzos and addictive sleep agents and it makes things worse. Especially since many vets drink alcohol to self medicate. The combo is life threatening. I could help more if I knew some details but also respect his privacy. Just giving some suggestions. Usually, the person gets stuck in a hopelessness cycle and there is absolutely hope and a way out of the nightmare. Tell him we all care and will help in any way possible.

Fren, please take a look at the micro-dose ketamine 'at home' therapy. (There is a clinic infusion way, also). Hopefully available where you are. I suggest this because my friend who was in a clinical depression after trauma, really did have her life-threatening despondency lifted through this therapy. I am considering it myself since the after-effects of a TBI make me quite prone to depression. One company in AZ doing the therapy is called 'Joyous'. Yes we rely upon the Lord for any healing of mind or body but the lifting of the black cloud of despair is good support too. Not everyone will turn to God.

Tell your veteran friend that God is always with him, as He is with all of us. He has none of our limitations, and He loves every one of us individually. All any of us has to do is ask. There is no need for a preacher or priest or a church. Just ask Jesus to enter and stay in your heart, and you can talk to Him at any time in a one-on-one relationship. We are all His children. I had four brothers, all of whom were veterans, and I know much of the sadness some endured after returning from war (Korea and VietNam). God bless your friend and all others who are suffering.
