The bill got 311 votes and the Republicans only have a 6 vote majority, so only 4 Republicans would need to leave to let the Democrats have a majority and choose a different speaker. And why would they leave instead of stay and be able to influence future votes and might need help due to a few Democrats missing a vote or growing spines?

While I do not agree with the funding of foreign wars or funding a war without accountability of how the money was spent, I do think, the innocent people of Ukraine should be helped. This war needs to be resolved so that it is a win win for all parties. In the meantime, many innocent Ukrainians are suffering and corrupt politics continue.
