What’s the brand or type of your ice cream maker? We use the old fashioned electric type with rock salt. I don’t remember the name it’s a popular expensive brand with wooden bucket. We got it used for a steal. Can’t figure out what we are doing wrong. It’s good eating it fresh. If you freeze it has a slick butter texture and taste. Told hubby he’s doing it too long and making flavored butter🤦🏻♀️

Soy is a long term silent poison that is being put in everything Americans eat. From ice cream, bread and peanut butter, to sausage and mayo, hell, even a can of "Tune in water" contains vegetable broth now for this sole purpose.
Agreed I don’t trust soy, doesn’t matter if they say it’s organic. I like avocado mayo, chosen brand tastes best to me. Although it’s not thick enough for making ranch dressing. Next time I’ll add less milk.

The route I took back then was doing some research on local dairies & ice cream shops. In most parts of the country you can find a local place that makes incredible ice cream that uses less than half a dozen ingredients, all of which are pronounceable.
Once I found a local place that would sell us containers, she was sold. The natural stuff is always better. These days she wouldn't dream of giving a cent to B&J's, but back then it was more of a challenge and finding a great local place did the trick.

Homemade Ice cream
2 cups heavy cream
14oz sweetened condensed milk
1tsp vanilla extract
Whip cream until stiff
Thoroughly mix in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla
Mix in any choc/nuts/fruit
Transfer to freezer container and freeze for 4 hours
