The WuFlu2 virus got'em. It also wiped out the flu, pneumonia, heart attacks, cancer , natural causes and most every other category of death. Now if we could just get rid of the WuFlu2 we would live forever.

The do exist but are mostly in Japan, and a few sightings of hornets that looked like murder hornets but weren’t actually murder hornets were spotted in WA in 2017. There are species similar in appearance but without the attack.

I can tell you - they are here and they have been here in TN since at least 2014. I even got stung by one and it felt like I had been stabbed. I've killed hundreds of them. It probable that they have been in NC as far back as 2005 - I remember my old boss showing me pictures of ones he killed in a tree back then.
My point is that they have been here and the news coverage was all bullshit like everything else
I live in Tennessee and can coincidently state that I have never seen a murder hornet. Lots of stinkbugs but no murder hornets.
