If the environment was such a potent conditioner, every single person coming out of a slum sort of situation would be the worst possible example of derangement, and that, of course, isn't the case.

There are cases where you have two individuals that grew up in the same place as friends, pretty tough childhood, hang out with the same crowd, but then in adulthood one turns into a debased drug-dealing murderer, and the other just tries to work for his/hers living and is overall a very stable individual.

In these cases you cannot prove the environment was the same. Even two brothers from the same family can have very different environments. And even two people who gets exposed to the exact same situation can interpret it differently because their lives have not been exactly the same so they don't think 100% the same.

To believe that the "overarching factor is environmental" is to give credence to stuff like CRT... basically that's what they preach, that everything is equal, the only thing that changes is the environment/context.

In fact it is the other way around. CRT causes an excessive focus on race. In fact it says that a black person from one area should turn out exactly the same as a white person from another completely different area, with a different type of family. This even though their environments and what they have been exposed to is completely different. And if there is a different in the outcome between these two people it has to be structural racism.

In my experience, two people growing up on the same street can have totally different cultures and experiences. And even the ones that seemed like they where similar even had their own totally different experiences and hence perspectives again when you looked closer.

In my view, CRT is designed to break down into that race actually matters in the hopes of igniting a race war. Because that is what they really are teaching kids when they constantly want them to think about race. It's like they say "it's all structural racism so you should constantly be thinking about race". And in my opinion it's a mistake to focus too much on race -- and a mistake to focus too much on genetics too.

The great thing about environment/context is that it can be changed. So if someone is not getting the results they want, perhaps they can try a different environment. One great solution to improve the "environement" would be to have people not think about biological race, but still accept that cultural background, diet, etc can be of an importance though they are never a "life sentence" either.
