It seems like they keep changing the words, but in the end it does not change their actions. They are preventing the distribution of funds to the intended recipients. Because of political bias (unless they have proof of the claim that the protest is no longer peaceful) Those funds given by supporters, belong to the truckers, period!
gofundme should not be allowed to give those funds to ANY other charity even one the Freedom Convoy organizers may choose. That would be like donating to a "Help the Veterans" fund but it gets diverted to "BLM" because the organizer picks that charity when gofundme refuses to give it to the Veterans because they were in a War... It is fraud.
What happened to innocent until proven guilty.

I value reddit-like forums like this specifically because of how frequently misinformation gets debunked. The way we treat comments equally instead of prioritizing accounts with more "followers" makes it possible for a random person with specific knowledge to have their voice heard when it counts. This site's credibility doesn't come from being right about everything, but by having a system that's better at finding the truth than others.

GFM hopes they take the "deal" that way they can claim no liability in case they get sued for fraud, massive charge backs, etc. GFM could just refund $10mil but they don't want to do that because they would likely forfeit a huge comission.
I hope the truckers tell them to go pound sand. Either release the funds or issue a refund to donors.

Great news! They must have already gotten slammed with chargebacks and arbitration claims and decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.
People should still demand arbitration even if their money is automatically refunded and force them to show whatever “proof” they have that the campaign violated the TOS.

GoFundMe changed the wording on it (it didn't have "chosen by the Freedom Convey 2022 organizers and" earlier). But the point is they showed themselves again to be evil.
They were probably going to send the $10mil to Black Lives Matter or Planned Parenthood but were advised against it by their lawyers. The charities "chosen by Freedom Convoy..." bit was a shuck and jive. GFM keeps their commission, starves the trucker convoy, and avoids getting sued for fraud. Something seems VERY wrong with taking funds given by the public for the CAUSE of the freedom convoy and redirecting it to "charities". Even if those charities are chosen by the FC organizers, its NOT what people donated for.
There are many freedom causes it could be used for. I personally would NOT be happy if funds I donated were redirected AFTER being collected.
