Thank you all. I know the power of prayer, and every word helps... I will post updates. They’re transferring her to another hospital’s prenatal unit and are going to try and keep her from delivering the baby for a few days, or hopefully a couple weeks.
1PM Update: mom is doing well. Still no pain, we’re about to transfer to another hospital with an advanced NICU. He needs more time, but miracles have already happened. Thanks so much, all. 🙏♥️ For sharing stories, advice, encouragement, and faith.

PS: Dad, please make sure you are taking your vitamins, plenty of fluids, electrolytes, and get sleep. That is the best thing to do for your family right now.
I thought they had to deliver by 18 hours after broken water or risk infections? That's what they told me to get me into c section anyway. I wasn't as early though. I hope all goes well and he can stay in there comfy and grow. Much luck and prayer.
I was an L&D nurse back in the '80s and if a woman's water broke, that baby had to be delivered one way or another within 24 hours. But that was a long time ago, and maybe modern medicine has changed that.
Had mine do the same - 30 wks even. They put me on bed rest and did temp checks every 2 hrs. Plan was to let me go as long as I could with no fever if labor didn’t start on its own. They were hoping I would get to 36 wks. (This was in the 90s so who knows now)
That was what I was told at my c section last june at women and infants high risk. They were inducing me three weeks early for pre eclampsia and I never got past 3 cm.
Many prayers for all of you. Our Heavenly Father is the best healer there is and I pray that He places his hands over the medical staff caring for your wife & son so that the best care can be provided to your loved ones.
Mine broke 1.5 months early. Just the outer sac. I was given medications to take pulled from work. My sons 27 now.Another friend daughter had a dry birth due to water broke also. Her daughter is 32 now. May Gods blessings be upon your family. Strength health and much love shown upon you. .may Gods mighty presence be with you and felt by you. God bless God bless. Hello. Praying for your family. I had a friend that this happened to. Ftom what l I know from her situation, is that her waters didn't completely empty and after time, the womb actually filled up again despite the doctors urge for a c section. Please look into this. Unless it was a complete emptying, the baby might just be fine if monitored.
Have faith that all will be well with your wife and child. We pray that God will protect your wife and unborn child during this scary time, both before and after his birth. Make him perfect in every way and guide him to a long and healthy life. We ask this in God’s name, if it be his will. Amen.
As a retired OB nurse, I have seen many babies survive even earlier births. It is often a rough road with ups and downs. My strongest advise is for your wife to provide colostrum and breast milk as opposed to formula to your child. Insist that the staff obtain a breast pump for her and start pumping within 2 hours of birth, pumping every 2-3 hours during the day and 3 hours at night. Do not let staff deter you by saying, “she needs her rest.” Double pumping for 15 minutes is not to time consuming and it could be a matter of survival. Do NOT allow the NICU to give one drop of formula. One feeding of formula can effect the gut bacteria and effect your child’s health for life. Also insist you be allowed to do as much skin to skin time as possible, it stabilizes blood sugar, temperature, and helps colonize good bacteria. Also it helps with bonding both parents and child (fathers can do skin to skin too) and it helps to de stress your vulnerable child.
You have to be strong and determined to fight against hospital procedures. They mean well, but often are misinformed or ignorant. They have blinders and want to do what is expedient, not thinking of the long term health or impact on bonding. Also it is easier for those in health care to give a bottle of formula than to encourage or help with breastfeeding. Just like doctors and nurses, there are good and not so good lactation consultants. Breastfeeding is an art in the first few days. Improper latch impacts milk production and infant intake.
Thank you for coming to your Frens for prayer. We are here prayinging. He will be fine, and so will your wife. I know this in my heart because we have asked Jesus for His mercy and compassion. You will have a difficult journey in the next several months, though--yet nothing you cannot handle.

I have worked with families with several babies weighing in at just 1+ pounds at only 20-25 weeks. Praying God has his hand on your child to be a miracle baby too. May you trust Him and rest in His peace, whatever the outcome.
Lord i pray for good doctors who have wisdom and genuine caring. I pray this precious baby soul is protected and the mother too. I also pray for this father that he will stand strong, have wisdom to know what to say, questions to ask, and how to comfort his wife. Father may your Spirit Envelop all in this situation. I know each precious one is in your Hand.
I pray that they can hold off delivery for as long as safely possible. Dear God please keep this family safe during this time just as you kept the Holy Family safe. 🙏🏼
My wife had massive thyroid problems when pregnant with our daughter. She was 3 months premature. Today she is a 20 year old red pilling machine. God bless your family. This will turn out good for you. We have the hand of God on our side.

My nephew was born 3 months early. He was tiny. Today he is 6’ and runs a karate school! God is good.
Father, please give this man and his wife peace as they deal with this extreme situation. Please, if it be Your will, save this little baby and let him grow up healthy and happy, knowing you and living in Your will. We know you are the God of miracles Lord, and it is an easy thing for you to let this baby live and thrive. Please have mercy on this little family and allow them to enjoy raising their precious son. Lord, in all things, we ask Your will to be done and for those You love to rest in Your peace, knowing that all things work to good for them that love You. In precious Jesus' name we pray, father. My son was born 3 months early in 1990, next morning he was 1 lb 13 ounces. 8 weeks in the hospital, but no disabilities , super smart ,and healthy. He is a nurse now, have faith ,hang in there, and best to you and the family.
May God wrap his arms around you, your wife, son, doctors and nurses at this time. My first born was 3-mo early too. She was born at 26-weeks gestation @ 1LB, 7oz. She is a healthy 9 yo today. Breast milk and don’t let them vaccinate the little dude with anything. Trust that your wife and your son are strong and they will make it through together. You will need to be their advocate.

If I could go back in time......I'd go to war to keep that from happening.

I have a great nephew born at 31 weeks, 2 pounds in October of 2018. He’s 3 and a half. A total hoot. Perfect little guy.
