They cranked the BS knob so far it snapped off. They are unironically claiming that honey nut fucking cheerios and lucky charms are healthy alternatives to... eggs for breakfast.

BigMikesSaggyBaggins 15 points ago +15 / -0

You know what's better than eggs cooked in butter...eggs cooked in bacon fat, mmmmmmmm.

It's funny, if you just invert their chart, you see what a real diet looks like for the most part. I pretty much only eat meats, fish, eggs, cheese, and milk every single day and I've never been better.

I will eat my monthly salad to get some greens in my system, but that's about it. Never eat a steak beyond rare/med-rare...anything else you're killing all the good stuff.

Everyone is different of course, but it's served me very well in my life.

MegaMAGAMichiPede 4 points ago +4 / -0

Oh baby. Anything cooked in bacon fat is INCREDIBLE. Favorite breakfast: fry up some bacon, then put aside some of the grease for later. Use the bit in the pan to oil it for pancakes and eggs, eat all of it together with a liberal dollop of real maple syrup. YUM

Go for dark leafy greens - spinach and arugula.

Throw some olive oil, feta cheese, brocooli, cucumber, and salmon on it, and you're probably going to feel awesome afterwards.

CarbonWinter 1 point ago +4 / -3

Seed oils are actually being shown to have highly inflammatory properties. Use beef tallow instead.

10
ChronicMetamorphosis 10 points ago +10 / -0

Uh...olive oil not only reduces inflammation, but it doesnt come from a seed.

2
CarbonWinter 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not true. Especially when it’s been heated up. They lie about everything. Olive oil is not good for you.

2
ChronicMetamorphosis 2 points ago +2 / -0
  1. This is going on a salad. It's not hot.

  2. I'd like to see your source showing olive oil as bad.

1
-wwg1wga- 1 point ago +1 / -0

Check out Dr Paul Saladino and some of his work. Olive oil is bad for you, but not as bad as other seed oils such as canola and sunflower. It's not as good for you as tallow or grass fed butter.

6
pnwhomebrewer 6 points ago +6 / -0

Olive oil is not a seed oil.

2
CarbonWinter 2 points ago +2 / -0

Still not good for you.

1
-wwg1wga- 1 point ago +1 / -0

How is this downvoted.. literally the best comment here. Remove all seed oils from your life. Eat tallow and grass fed butter. I basically only eat the bottom 3 items on that list and am as healthy as can be.

2
CarbonWinter 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same!! Thank you friend.

3
Narg 3 points ago +3 / -0

Try crumbling some bacon into your next omelet for a chewy taste treat -- yum!

3
ghost_of_aswartz 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes, this is how you know it's brainwashing by the almond and grain growers of america

19
Captainzoomer 19 points ago +19 / -0

While we're at it here, the food pyramid is also garbage. We should have a high fat, high protein, low carb diet. Couple that with intermittent fasting and you're looking at moon based energy levels.

6
Andy_Man45 6 points ago +6 / -0

Second that

5
SoMuchWinning45 5 points ago +5 / -0

You mean it's not just Gamestop that can take us to the moon?

5
Jabber1 5 points ago +5 / -0

100% Correct ^^^

2
Halya 2 points ago +2 / -0

I remember when LBJ had the food pyramid flipped so it would recommend mostly meat products...... coming from a cattle rancher.

I also remember FDA recommended margarine over butter because of cholesterol. Wasnt long when it was brought up margarine uses the same ingredients as nylon carpeting. Then they reversed it back.

HughGReckshon 8 points ago +8 / -0

Is this the "How to Develop Type 2 Diabetes" list?

You only need to avoid dairy if you are a "problem person" who wants to think they are special, or you are jewish or you have some special thing wrong with your gut or genetics that makes you lactose intolerant.

3
Teapot_Gravy 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think what people are having trouble with are the monsanto grains the cows eat. Grass fed milk is better.

1
ghost_of_aswartz 1 point ago +1 / -0

These idiotic people who made the chart are actually suggesting that sugar-laden CEREAL FOR CHILDREN are to be promoted...and also, they are ALMOND CULTISTS

Honestly there are other nuts out there that are just as good to have in the diet. The ALMOND OBSESSION is actually brainwashing by the california almond growers cartel; it turns out the reality is that almonds use a tremendous amount of water, so much so they have to steal it from california residents.

Pistacios, Pecans, and Brazil nuts come to mind. Brazil nuts are basically a selenium supplement.

5
Cpleb 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ok not eating watermelon now. Who knows what kind of shit they put in there since they’re promoting it.

4
Letsroll2021 4 points ago +4 / -0

Good point…what the heck is up with watermelon at #1? I love it, so you just slapped me across the face with that lol

2
dirtypaperplate 2 points ago +2 / -0

lol

5
GodFirstBro_ 5 points ago +5 / -0

It's 76% OK to eat your date. Check.

1
ghost_of_aswartz 1 point ago +1 / -0

Medjools.

Fuck the Deglet Noor

5
CasuallyObservant 5 points ago +5 / -0

Unbelievable. Look at who is sponsoring it:

Gerald and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.

Who would follow such a plan? Of all the things to choose, they choose these things. Are they getting kickbacks from the manufacturer of Lucky Charms, Frosted Mini wheats, etc.?

2
FiatLux 2 points ago +2 / -0

Kickbacks?? Heck they probably are shareholders in Kellogg or General Mills. The ‘Friedman’ family got their money somehow right?

3
sk39999999 3 points ago +3 / -0

Always take the inverse of what they say is a "healthy diet"

3
DarQ2light 3 points ago +3 / -0

"Friedman"....every, fucking, time.

2
Cpleb 2 points ago +2 / -0

Right it’s like they’re taunting you. “Go ahead….make the connection you anti semite”

2
DarQ2light 2 points ago +2 / -0

To which I say, "Sticks and stones, faggots". I will play Connect the Dots, until the cows come home, and then I'll continue playing.

3
Relhok 3 points ago +3 / -0

WTF is nonfat Mozzarella cheese?

5
ghost_of_aswartz 5 points ago +5 / -0

It's an individually-wrapped, white polymer, sold as a bland, fun edible toy food for children

2
PostNBeam 2 points ago +2 / -0

Take note all college students or paying parents thereof. Any degree using the words "NUTRITION SCIENCE" or "PUBLIC HEALTH" is now officially worthless. All that money you spent is gone. It's time to learn to make a viente latte.

dirtypaperplate 2 points ago +2 / -0

"Everything the Cabal touches turns to shit."

1
eagledriver 1 point ago +1 / -0

THIS IS MORONIC IN AND OF ITSELF...I for will CONTINUE to eat what the bottom 3 are...the other crap will kill you with HIGHER CHOLESTEROL, Body Fat Index greater than what it is supposed to be, gut problems, skin conditions AND a host of other sh!t!!!!!!!

Tufts can KISS MY ASS!!!!!!! ALONG WITH THE FED GOV!!!!!!!

1
2day 1 point ago +1 / -0

Whole egg fried in butter - that sounds delicious!

1
txharleygirl 1 point ago +1 / -0

Is there any sauce on this? I can’t find this chart anywhere associated to TUFTS. If real I’m sending to my sleeping family but need real sauce.

1
Mockfury 1 point ago +1 / -0

Are there any primates that would turn down eggs? Any evidence that we haven't been scarfing eggs since before we were human? Evolving with them?

Fucking lucky charms, this has to be a joke. Doughnuts may as well be in the middle of this list.

1
Insignificant 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wow, so eggs, beef, and cheese helped me lose 100 lbs. in 9 months without even trying, but that's bad? What's sad is how many people, including educators, believe this nonsense chart.

1
SoMuchWinning45 1 point ago +1 / -0

"Nutrition science"

I'd rather eat ration bars than the bullshit they push.

2
ghost_of_aswartz 2 points ago +2 / -0

ration bars are just flour, oatmeal, sugar, butter, vanilla and some other random food trash, mixed up and bake-pressed into a brick

in other words, its way better than frosted mini wheats or lucky charms

1
007wannabee 1 point ago +1 / -0

Someone's list of stuff they like and don't like. Who cares.

1
Insignificant 1 point ago +1 / -0

Did anybody ever wonder what vegetable is used to make vegetable oil? I always thought it sounded healthy too growing up, but then I checked the ingredient list. Yep, it's soybean-based, and we're supposed to believe that's better for you than bacon fat, butter, or any other oil available like canola, sunflower, etc...unbelievable. You can take your egg substitute fried in vegetable oil and shove it!

1
The_Watcher 1 point ago +1 / -0

"Chocolate covered almonds!" Now that is a diet I could get behind!

I wonder what they think about the Keto diet. Eggs, Bacon, Butter can be major elements of a Keto diet. Kale does well, too.

1
K8ybella 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well, it should be obvious to all of us by now.

the children are running the science labs... the inmates are running the prison... the patients are running the hospitals... the animals are running the zoo... the Satanists are running.... well, everything!

I'm afraid we're down to torches and pitchforks if we're going to right this ship before they kill us off. The vaxecution was not successful enough. It's on to plan B & C; starvation and freezing us to death this winter.

1
lbrt 1 point ago +1 / -0

Trust your own guts. I do eat plant based, have no weight problems,I am slim, but today I ate beacon and eggs and butter, marmelade and a french croissant. Normally i do without breakfast at all, just a coffee with some coconut milk.

98% percent of what I eat are plants, but I do not want cranks to tell me what to eat. The above picture is junk science.

1
numina18 1 point ago +1 / -0

Where are the bugs? They're the best, no??

1
Kaizen 1 point ago +1 / -0

That means those are the foods you shall eat. People should train need protein for muscle repair and growth. If you don’t train you’d think you shouldn’t eat them. The enemy wants to encourage faggotry, so strong men can become weak and are unable to defend themselves and others.

TheLetterK 1 point ago +1 / -0

This reminds me of a time when I was a teenager and I was at my friend's house. I had told her family about my niece who had suffered some kind of cardiac thing and was now skin-and-bones thin. Her dad started going off about how all you have to do is follow the food pyramid from the government and you'd be a healthy weight.

Even at 17 I questioned the validity of a government deciding what is nutritionally valid, and for how long the food pyramid had been around with no changes. Over the years I learned more about nutrition, and even Big Mike Obama turned the pyramid on its side, lending credence to my thought that it was invalid.

The government doesn't know what is nutritionally correct for your body the same way this university has an opinion on the foods you "should" eat.

I think I'll have a burger with cheddar and a butter-fried egg tomorrow for lunch.

1
ToeBlake34 1 point ago +1 / -0

That’s funny - cuz when I was in grade school Protein was at the top of the food pyramid…

And can anyone actually tell me the nutritional value of a piece of watermelon 🍉?

I mean will it make my hair shine, strengthen my bones? I mean this is complete bullshit!!!!

1
Cyberhawk 1 point ago +1 / -0

I like me some watermalone!

1
UnbreakablePatriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Couple this with the cannibalism stuff from New York times and spirit cooking....Maybe they are actually fattening us up like the witch in Hansel and Gretle before the harvesting.

1
XlntOldBowler 1 point ago +1 / -0

The bottom 3 are easily my top 3, followed closely by pork

1
Halya 1 point ago +1 / -0

Who the hell follows the recommendation from a govt agency that says its ok to eat Round-UP?
