That's such a sad thing. We almost lost my father-in-law, and sort of did due to stroke, but all my brothers and sisters sans one were not with the jab.
Same here. Whole extended family and kept pushing me to do it also. They were so proud and wanted to be the first to go get it.
My grandpa and grandma both were NOT vaxxed. Him and my grandma both (mid-80s) got COVID earlier on (when the symptoms were more severe for elderly). They both took vitamin D, zinc, quercetin, and it took them about 1.5 weeks to get over the symptoms. My grandma for 1 or 2 days was extremely nauseous and couldn't breath well, but she stayed home and got over it because she didn't want to get up off the couch or go to a hospital. The symptoms weren't really ever that bad for my grandpa. Then after 1.5 weeks or so, they started feeling fine again with little to no symptoms, and then decided they wanted to be extra careful and went into the hospital and got the anti-bodies. 1 or 2 days after getting anti-bodies, my grandpa had a severe stroke. He lost his ability to walk, talk, and pretty much do anything on his own. My family took care of him at home because he didn't want to be stuck in a nursing home, but it was a battle of health issues ever since then until he passed away a handful of months ago.

I managed to keep my kids from getting the shot and my mom. I tried with others and am sad I was not able to help more people resist. So far no one has been hurt in my immediate family among those who did get it (brothers) and I am thankful for that.

I think you're right. My wife and I got covid last year, and after the first few days, my son pretended to have horses and got us some Ivermectin, but we were already over the worst of it, and I can't really say it helped much at that point. We were treating it the same way we treated any flu or a cold, doing what we knew to do and trusting God would pull us through. (It worked, by the way.)
I'm amazed that the person you mentioned survived the hospital. That's even bigger than surviving covid. In 2018 I had to go in because of a pretty bad heart attack, but when I started to hear about what they were doing to people with covid, I would have walked off a severed head rather than go to a hospital because my chances of survival would have been better.
What they have done to the world is a monstrous crime. Everything good they destroy, and there's no good reason for it. How I long to see justice.

I have a kickass immune system that I fought to protect because it protects me 24/7. Caught covid last August. Recovered just fine in approx. four days.

My husband thanked me the other day for not letting him get the clot shot.
I told my wife I didn't think she should get it but it was ultimately her choice.
She chose to take the advice of her doctors and buckled to the pressure her mother was putting on her, and now regrets that decision.
She got the first two shots and is refusing boosters.
I'm trying to make the best of each day I have with her at this point. Worrying about the "what ifs" does no good for either of us.
She was already no longer able to have kids so that wasn't a consideration in her decision.
I definitely would have given an ultimatum ("We won't be making kids if you get vaccinated") if that wasn't the case.
When I'm hit with 24x7x365 non-stop messaging, I go the other way instinctually. If everyone is walking on one side of the street I cross to the other side. I don't follow the crowd for anything. I'm not a joiner to clubs, organizations, fraternities, or anything. I won't get pushed into anything, One of my doctors, so frustrated with me said, 95% of doctors say the C19 is safe and effective, are you saying they're crazy? Nope, not crazy I said. They just didn't do the research themselves, only listened to what others told them. Only read a couple cherry picked medical journal articles. Nope, I'm not getting this vax.
I've been trying to save as much of the evidence as I can about the injuries, deaths, ability of mRNA to get into the genes, the evidence of rare clots, heart troubles, etc. and will put it all on a thumb drive and make a couple copies. I plan on seeing my dermatologist again in a few months, which will be a year since last seeing her where she left the room shaking because she was so frustrated with me. If she still is holding to her position, I will give her a thumb drive and tell her perhaps you'll change your mind too if you do your homework. This will get you started. I hold no expectation that I will she her again after that visit.
I never cared about that vaccine or really any vaccines ever. I take care of my body, eat right, get plenty of fresh air and outdoor exercise so my immune system is solid. Being that I'm 43 and only can remember literally 1 time I've been sick in my life which was over 20 years ago but not sick enough to cause me to miss work but with that, I've never wanted any vaccine.
There are plenty of sheep that are easily manipulated by fear though but I don't even fear death because death is a part of life and we all will die one day. One of the most dangerous things in life is something most of us do daily, which is to drive a car. I could step outside and get bit by a rattlesnake or have a 15ft alligator try to eat me while walking or a tree fall on me in my sleep, through the roof.
There are so many ways to die that it truly is pointless being afraid of a virus, especially since dying from any virus is far less likely than most ways people die.
