It was a weird mix of scenes that could be funny or entertaining put into a seriously dark story. As I remember it got criticized for making light of serious things. But I think that is a misinterpretation of it. My take was how society as a whole can ignore serious issues by focusing on the entertainment or glorification factor. If you didn't come out of that movie feeling a little fucked up about things, something was off with you - or you were oblivious.
I got to talk to Bruce Boxleitner 12 years ago at a comic con. He's pretty based. I think there's a good reason why him, Jeff Bridges, Kurt Russel, Jon Voight, and James Woods do not have swirls of pedo gossip about them. Unlike Tom Hanks, Rob Reiner, and others.
I have trouble with suspense sometimes, especially if the movie includes a child in danger. I hear you, I haven't watched it in years, need to watch again see if the now grown Dad that I am can handle it the same way as the guy in his 20s I was.
The only thing that has changed for me is that I’m more comfortable saying that I’m uncomfortable and excusing myself. May your mileage but different!!
I liked the golf course scene where he tells the guy something like ‘now you’re gonna die wearing that stupid hat’. Don’t remember the exact line, just the sentiment LOL.
this movie is filled with predictive programming and should be considered an Occult Masterpiece, now that we are living through the events it 'predicted'
Korean shop keeper demonstrates inflationary pricing to be very relevant now. Behind him are two street signs that say Corona
neon Corona bottle sign on the wall at 1:41 (it's a Corona bottle even though the word "Corona" is hard to make out), then the camera moves so that the main character "eclipses" the Corona bottle right when the gun shots ring out.
at 2:44 as they show the Corona signs he references the last stand of Fiji. A hybrid solar eclipse is visible over Fiji on April 20, 2023
when Nick the surplus store owner gives D-fens the Rocket Launcher he says ''you can take out a Jumbo Jet with one of these''. And then at the construction scene the Jumbo Jets flies behind him just as he gets out the Rocket Launcher. The Rocket IS the Jet. The Rocket is fired in the direction of the 2 towers.
the handgun tucked into his pants in the explosion scene is a Colt 1911 (one of many 911 references)
London Bridges Falling Down = Operation London Bridge = is the queen that recently passed.
Prendergast's kid died from "Sudden (Infant) Death Syndrome". Doctors were baffled just like they are today!

ETC.
Joel Schumacher best film, I was so excited that he’d be making a Batman after this incident so bummed out the Batman forever was clown circus and campy instead of dark
I only found out about this movie, because I listened to the industrial band Frontline Assembly, and quotes from 'Falling Down' are all over the song "Vigilante" from the 1994 album 'Millennium'.
And because of that, I had to see the movie.
A lot of 90s industrial musicians talked about dystopia. Only now as it becomes closer and closer to being true, a lot of those themes and messages from that music seem to be more prophetic rather than novelty. But that's another rabbit hole to follow on a different day.
What really gets me about falling down, is that it could be any one of us in that role. Beaten down by the system we toiled for years within it, only to be ostracized because it's destroyed that part of us that made us relatable and part of humanity. We are people with nothing left, and just holding on to whatever tiny piece of hope we can find. We are perched on the precipice, and God help anyone who dares get in our way.
"We're not the same, I'm an American; you're a sick *******." <- we are already here.
.. the story-line was somewhat similar to "Joker" ; which also received the same kind of treatment from mainstream critics. Seems they're afraid of the type of people who can relate to the main character in either of those films. lol
Ian and many of you commenting here missed the entire point of the movie.
Misinterpreting Hollywood movies is one thing, but why would Ian attack those who have risked everything to share a much more disturbing reality about the small city of Racine, Wisconsin?
We were just called a faggot by u/Oh_Well_Ian on another post about Art in Embassies. Why? We were sharing details about how Art in Embassies is closely connected to Racine, Wisconsin.
We knew Oh Well Ian was aware of the connections because they were on Voat and engaged in many conversations about Racine on Voat. We simply pointed this out and included more details on the connections.
This is how Ian responded:
And I am well aware. I hope you're not implying that I'm leaving out information, intentionally.
How about rather than asking a whole series of rhetorical questions, you just give us the answers to your long-winded and often disappointing teases.
When questioned about that response, they deleted their comments, and when that was noticed, they dug deeper:
Because I insulted you and I didn't want you running to mods, like a faggot.
Go harass Paul Ryan, you fake
To anyone not aware of what happened on Voat, there is a much deeper story.
Also, is Paul Ryan a good guy being “harassed,” or should he and his corrupt district of Racine be exposed?
u/into_the_continuum is one who followed the story on Voat, and knows why Ian and others would lash out like this.
Our response to Ian:
Is that what happened on Voat?
Or did you befriend the corrupt moderators on Voat who were doxxing, threatening and running blackmail operations and committing other crimes against users?
We know more than you could comprehend, and if you said any of that in person, you would immediately be humiliated.
Who is the fake and coward?
Go ahead and share what you know about Racine to disprove what has been shared.
Or do you know nothing about Racine except for what was shared already?
We will wait.
Maybe you should all watch the movie again, and then help expose the Root of their entire Agenda, Racine, Wisconsin.
What is the significance of Ben Hecht who grew up in Racine?
ok I haven't watched any of the shows or movies you mentioned I dont watch much when it comes to tv or movies as I cant stand the propaganda. I don't watch horror movies either. But, there are some movies I have enjoyed from an entertainment perspective.
Haven't seen Falling Down in decades, but remembered liking it.
I don't know much about Racine, have seen it mentioned, but don't remember the story.
This seems like some personal issues that you're bringing up from years ago and dragging in here.
And I'm getting a bit tired of the holier than thou crap when it comes to someone daring to like watching movies. This puritanical mindset didn't work out too well the first time around.
Take your messy, drama mama personal issues to private messaging so the rest of us heathens can talk about movies in peace.
Honest feedback here, you're asking questions that are of interest, but you aren't supplying the answer or an obvious means of finding the answer and if someone has spent years already looking into such things it isn't obvious how to proceed.
What happened the "first time around"? I have no idea what "first time around" refers to. The first time a man orbited the earth in a space craft? The first time fallen angels mated with humans? Using a privacy search engine search on that that question or just the quoted part doesn't provide anything obvious.
Do you identify as more than one person? Or as the Queen of England?
Is your constant reference to yourself as "we" an indication of mental illness or are you a member of the Royal Family?
If Joe is on a train going south at 78 mph for 47 minutes, and Bob is on a train going 82 mph, and Eileen is on a horse going north at 8 mph, at what time will they arrive at Racine, Wisconsin?
Can't find too much about JJL so many years later that's related to Racine other than he was director of international marketing for family business (his mother was an heiress) Johnson Wax Co (which became SC Johnson) in Racine for a few years (1958-1961). Involvement in broadcasting later at a firm which merged with Gannett, the large newspaper company.
Military background early on, Air Force, pilot. Appointed by President Reagan to the UK Ambassador post for just two years. Saw one disparaging remark by a Malcolm Toon against JJL's UK Amb. appointment so looked into Toon. He appears to have far more extensive political affiliations (as ambassador), these to Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Israel and the Soviet Union.
I don't know how much my opinion matters but I don't think it is good for us to be infighting with each other, personally. Perhaps you know things that I don't, but I usually enjoy reading posts by u/Oh_Well_Ian and in the past I haven't got the impression he was disingenuous. I know that you aren't a "faggot" though. I know the other people who have attacked you on .win are disingenuous and many others have fooled me by pretending to be interested when they were really trying to sew doubt, but I have always had a positive view of Oh_Well_Ian and would like to believe he responded that way because he was just upset. I read his other post in the Art and Embassy's thread and I think he may not have deliberately left out information about Racine, because it looks like he may have copied and pasted that text from another source somewhere rather than write it all out himself. I say that because there are a lot of lines like this in his post:
Tony Podesta at FAPE.JPG
Jeff Koons with Rockefellers at FAPE event.JPG
yet there is no actual link to the pictures it claims it is supposed to be showing to us. That makes it look like he copied and pasted text that included links to pictures, and when the text was pasted it simply took the surface text without an embedded hyperlink and that's why the letters ".JPG" are there, but there's no picture. So maybe the blame should be on whoever he copied and pasted from rather than himself. I don't know who that author is, so I don't know if they left it out on purpose to obfuscate or if they were unaware of it's significance.
I know for certain you are not fake or a "faggot" and that everything you've shared about Racine is of key significance but maybe Ian responded unfairly because he felt attacked? I don't know but either way, I would much rather see us all work together and attack the cabal rather than each other.
As for the movie talked about in this thread, I have never seen nor heard of it so I don't know enough to make a comment about it. I rarely watch movies because like you said, it feels like most movies are just trying to manipulate me.
I remember seeing this film in the theatre when it came out. Really enjoyed it, bought the dvd a couple years later.
My son is 22 and over the past few years I've been giving him an education on great 70's/80's/90's films and this one came up in our queue.
It still holds up, btw. It's not an all time great film, but it is very good and I think it touches on something universal in all men. Very interesting comment by the OP that this film has never played in syndication. That's very unusual and I strongly suspect there's a deeper story there.
Good film, long time since I last saw it.
Conveniently set in LA. Only LA can trigger to that magnitude. All the problems of other big cities with twice the attitude.
It is a great movie.
It was a weird mix of scenes that could be funny or entertaining put into a seriously dark story. As I remember it got criticized for making light of serious things. I saw a Michael Douglas interview. He said it was his favorite film that he made. Great movie and message.
Michael Douglas is based.
Don't forget to watch:
"DIED SUDDENLY" - (Dropping dead from the jab) - Premiering today, Nov 21 on ODYSEE.
The left is already scrubbing where you can see it. Watch it or save it for latter.
I just watched "Died Suddenly". It was EXCELLENT for Red Pilling.
Great movie. Also love him in The Game.
yes the game was excellent too.
I’m not good with suspense. I was too unsettled to say I liked it...
I have trouble with suspense sometimes, especially if the movie includes a child in danger. I hear you, I haven't watched it in years, need to watch again see if the now grown Dad that I am can handle it the same way as the guy in his 20s I was.

Man. The Game was a damn good movie. Need to revisit this film.
I have watched The Game like 10 times lol. What would you do if a family member did that to you?
Love this movie, too! "I'm the bad guy??"
"What kind of vigilante are you?!!!"
He's got a bazooka!. So many great one liners.
I liked the golf course scene where he tells the guy something like ‘now you’re gonna die wearing that stupid hat’. Don’t remember the exact line, just the sentiment LOL.
Quite thought-provoking, that one. "I'm the bad guy? How'd that happen?"
It came out during the big "white male paranoia" push in the 90s.
Early gaslighting of white males that came into fruition, with the results bearing fruit now.
Watched it my junior year in highschool. A lifetime ago.

Levels of reaching exceeding X-22 if that's possible.
I just put the movie into my list to watch again. Now I have to study as well. LOL Great write up. Thank you
Joel Schumacher best film, I was so excited that he’d be making a Batman after this incident so bummed out the Batman forever was clown circus and campy instead of dark
A classic
I did like this film, it's been awhile, but Douglas's acting was very relatable.
love movie night. keep coming with the recommendations.
"I just want some damn breakfast."
Best documentary of the future ever... with the exception of maybe Idiocracy.
Saw it in the theaters. Great movie.
Never occurred to me it was never in syndication though, I think we rented it on Amazon a few years ago.
I could swear that I've seen it on TV once, I remember commercial breaks. Might just be Mandela Effect.
It might have been picked up as one of your local station's "Monday Night Movie" type of thing once.
Heh a movie about the clown world in the 90's.
I really enjoyed this film when it was released. It's been a long time since I've watched it. I need to watch it again. Thanks for the reminder.
I've been meaning to watch that since I first heard about it.

Great fucking movie. Dude had enough. ENOUGH!
I thought it was awesome.
I worked on the televised morning announcements at my high school when this came out, and we actually did a movie review for this 🤣. Two thumbs up!
Great movie.
It's been a few years since I've watched it.
May be time to give it another watch.
I like how he handled the owner of the guns and ammo shop. Wrecked him after putting him in his place.
Ian and many of you commenting here missed the entire point of the movie.

Michael Douglas and Joel Schumacher both know.
I don't ubdersrand what you are trying to say. Also most commenters simply stated that they liked the movie, how is that a wrong interpretation?
Do you “like” Hollywood movies even when they are directly targeting and insulting you?
They manipulate, program, torment, degenerate, mock and laugh at you while they take your time, money, thoughts and false idol worship.
Why are horror movies really made and why are there so many?
Do you really believe that A League of Their Own is about baseball or That 70s Show is just a harmless situational comedy about high school kids?
What is the real meaning of a Red Fez in a slaughterhouse community?
Both A League of Their Own and That 70s Show are about Racine, Wisconsin.
Bro...
Read this question again -
What is the real meaning of a Red Fez in a slaughterhouse community?
Why did That 70s Show feature future “stars” of Freemasonry, Scientology and Kabbalah?
Point Place is Wind Point (Racine).

I genuinely do want to know why are horror movies are really made. Is it to get people to look into occult stuff? Or some entity feeding off fear?

You do not realize how significant this story is.
What happened “the first time around?”
We know more than you could comprehend.
We cannot stop you from dumbing yourself down with movies you don’t understand, and mocking Christianity in the process. It is your choice after all.
Or Repent and realize the fault of your willful ignorance.
Do you not understand the role of Hollywood “stars?”
Why are they called “stars?”
Where was the premiere for A Star is Born held and what is the significance?
Do you know who Ben Hecht is and why he is so celebrated in Hollywood?
Do you understand the value of your Soul?

Who is sharing the most dangerous Truth?
Why would it be mocked and ridiculed when they clearly know its connections to Art in Embassies?
We never lie.
We did not attack Ian.
They were not trustworthy when on Voat either.
We don’t always call people out until they deserve it.
We know much more than what is revealed.
Why did Ian really post about the MAP of Racine found on the chans?
We know why.
