This is especially sad. Beck was suffering from PTSD and mental illness. The VA convinced him the "solution" to his problems was to "transition" to becoming a woman. Our vets deserve better than this.

In college in the late 80s I took a slacker class for a credit called Human sexuality and health. One day they brought in a tranny to speak to us and I remember my young self getting caught up in the mass hypnosis of "oh the bravery" FF to today & my sister and her wife (sigh) come for a visit. They're on their way to visit cousin so and so in Arkansas because her kids are graduating college and one is transitioning. The bravery of it all. I don't even know this cousin's kid but have half a mind to send her/him a gift certificate for a Frontline Doctor of psychology they'll need in a year

I'm not knocking all of it. The tattoo you got with your platoon, or your deceased sister's name as a memory? That's cool. You're likely not going to regret that. You have piercings that don't make you look like the shield of king Leonidas? Nice. Covered your burn scars up with tattoos to make something good of a painful memory? Awesome. You had to have your phallus removed due to penile cancer, but on the upside you'll get to spend many extra years with your children/grandchildren? Commendable that you understood we're more than flesh and the sum of our parts.
Longer than I anticipated. I just see buyer's remorse way to often on life. And it could be avoided with a little forethought.
I care not what adults do but when these people start to transgender their toddlers upwards, this is what I have trouble with. Look at Angela Jolie. That little girl had NO choice. They dressed her in boys clothes from an early age - cut her hair. This is how the groomers work. Bit by bit. Then you will get those who dress their little boys in dresses etc. As they get older the stakes are raised and subtle ideas are slipped into their little minds. Confusion. Despair. Their lives become a nightmare. This is why suicides are around 40% in the trans community. This crime against humanity will affect generations to come.

Beck is a classmate of one of my best friends. I saw this story playing out over years. He used to go on raids wearing lingerie. His head was messed with, but he was in an apex predator environment. Our best guess is he internalized his PTSD and it manifested in this gender confusion. The VA diagnosed him with 1 one hour visit and put him on hormones and it was off to the races. He didn't cut his junk off. He'll be a man again, albeit a broken one.
CTE is a silent killer and the hormone imbalances, often seen alongside breacher syndrome, is what I chalk that unfortunate pivot to.
I'm sure having breaching charges go off next to your head a couple hundred times rattles the brain housing unit quite a bit. I got to enjoy a rather large explosion that knocked me out and blew out my ear drums and gave me a concussion and I'm still feeling the effects 6 years later. Tinnitus too.
All that said, the tier 1 guys can be very odd. I worked with a SEAL who was friends with a DEVGRU operator - both were from Miami. The DEVGRU guy would go to parties with his wife, a box of condoms, and set them out and let everyone rail the old lady.

This is gonna be a hot take but I think there is actually a very small amount of people who are legitimately "trans" and suffer body dysphoria. However the woke establishment pushes it on everyone. There should be protocols followed to determine if a person truly suffers from this kind of disorder before hormones/blockers are prescribed. Too many hack/woke "doctors" now though to be able to have any integrity in a diagnosis.
Gender dysphoria is a real thing, but you don't treat it by mutilating genitalia and feeding the delusion. That's like telling a schizo that their hallucinations are real. It's a sickness that needs to be treated.
