From Facebook post a friend shared:
If you haven’t heard about this yet, I want to tell you that God is up to something right now in America! A revival has broken out in Kentucky. A revival for the first time in decades in the United States! Not a “planned revival” that a local church happened to schedule for two months from now, but a real revival.
On Wednesday, February 8th a speaker at a chapel service at Asbury University gave a powerful message from God’s Word about love and repentance. Many students were deeply affected by it, and about 30 students kept the meeting going after its scheduled end time. And from there, the Lord moved mightily. More and more students came BACK to the service and by nightfall, the massive auditorium was packed.
The meeting has now continued, literally WITHOUT STOPPING, for 4.5 days. I just check the livestream and there is not an open seat in the place. People are literally standing in the hallways, out the door, and trying to get in.
I’ve read incredible firsthand reports of testimonies of people getting saved and touched by God. A local professor spoke of how he walked over to check out what was happening and for the first ten minutes he was so struck by the presence of God that he wasn’t even sure what was happening, but that he felt he could stay there the rest of his life.
I’ve spent much of the last 3 years reading A LOT of books on revivals, and I can tell you one thing: This is what they look like. The service is simple. No flashing lights, no gimmicks. Just testimonies, God’s Word, prayer, and worship. They don’t even have a band playing right now. Someone just starts singing a song, and the people worship.
Word has it that it’s beginning to spread to other local college campuses as well.
One common denominator is that people are asking and praying for it. I've seen it happen twice, where it lasts for days. Once as a student, another around youth at a house of prayer.
"and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14
"God is good all the time, and all the time God is good." Is a common saying among Christians. I don't know where it came from, but I think it predates YouTube. I could be wrong.
Quite possibly! I grew up in a strong Christian home, but I’d never heard it until recently. I did lose my relationship with God for a while, so maybe I missed it then... but I have it back again
Who Came up With God Is Good All The Time?
God has always been good all the time, but in 1988 Don Moen released a song titled “God Is Good All the time”. It was a gospel song written by Dean McIntyre and it became popularly sung in churches and amongst believers.
Most people believe it to be the original of the popular catchphrase ‘God is good, all the time and all the time, God is good’.
There isn't an organized group that is broadcasting there, afaik. You might try twitter. It's at Asbury University in Wilmore KY. I'd recommend those who can, to go there. Watching on a screen doesn't hit as hard.
It indeed has been going on that long. The article a few comments down talks of eye witness account of it starting Wednesday and going through the weekend non stop.
I've been waiting too! I pray this keeps spreading and building. We are in a spiritual war and we are God's army (military is the only way 😉) what a time to be alive!! Woooo
Same. Some of my family has been praying for this for 30 years. For corruption to end and a great revival to turn men's hearts back where they belong. We can all see what ignoring God has done to our country.
I saw that! What a great testimony! I can't stop watching the videos! It's not shiny and flashy it's real and it's beautiful. Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: Who should I send? Who will go for Us? I said: Here I am. Send me.
Isaiah 6:8 HCSB
Pray patriots pray that this spreads this is what will put out the darkness
Simon Peter answered him [Jesus] “Lord to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. We have believed and have come to know that you are the Holy One of God.” John 6:68-69 ESV
Father move a deep sense of repentance across our nation. May our youth be inspired to praise and worship you. May you be glorified. In Jesus name amen
I have had 2 different visions of God's glory filling our church body.
The first was in June of 2020 and the roof of the building where I was standing was lifted away and there was an unbroken beam of God's glory coming down and praise was going up but it was the same thing.
The second was 2 weeks ago and I saw what was a river come in through the building and everyone was in it and it was God's spirit. Everyone was so happy and peaceful in it and even though it was a bit tumultuous.
Isn't there a Bible verse that says something like - in the last days older men will have dreams and young men will have visions? I'm so happy for you!! That God entrusts you with that gift, that blessing! I'll be praying for you to know what to do with it to glorify God further
It's not like watching a movie kind of vision it's almost like a dream while you are awake.
Many people will experience God's glory like never before. I can't really explain how or why I know but I have known for a little over 3 years. It has been tough but knowing He will be revealing Himself to His people has kept me very cozy through everything.
I'm believing for one last great global revival before the end. I highly recommend people go to visit these hot-spots. It's lifechanging, you can't capture it on a screen. Be the fuel that spreads the fire to your city.
Acts 2:17 “‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21 And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’[c]
7 As soon as Solomon finished his prayer, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. 2 And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord filled the Lord's house. 3 When all the people of Israel saw the fire come down and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed down with their faces to the ground on the pavement and worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.”
Search here for livestreams. Apparently they are not doing an official livestream due to the private nature of people's testimonials. I strongly recommend you go there if at all possible. :) Take a "family emergency" if you have to. I expect it to be lifechanging for you.
Tomorrow will be day 7! Search Facebook, apparently a lot of people livestream there. There is no official stream. I highly recommend people GO THERE if at all possible. Meet people, get prayed over and experience it firsthand. You can be blessed on stream, but in-person can hit harder. God rewards those who seek Him!
For those who are thinking "They just sing songs, what's the big deal?" I encourage you to turn up the music, and just chill in it. Some call it "soaking". Let the Holy Spirit move. Spend time doing this. Decide to do it for an hour. Call it an experiment, remove distractions, and see what happens.
Not trying to play devil's advocate here but seriously -
It is never possible to judge a person's heart. You can see the manifestation of acts, their tendency to follow The Lord, the fruits of the Spirit of God, but you can never read their mind or heart. It is so important in times like these not to be carried away with the tide of fanaticism. Faith has a very subtle counterfeit and that counterfeit is presumption.
Deliberately going out of your way to handle a venomous snake is most certainly not what happened to Paul in Acts 28. If you are doing God's work, where He would have you, and are in compliance with the Law of God that is an entirely different thing than going out of your way to put yourself in harms way where God didn't put you. In other words Faith is following the clear leading of God and expecting and counting wholly on Gods word to do what it says it will do - presumption is assuming God will comply with what YOU want. Faith steps out and humbly submits to the clear direction of God. Presumption assumes God will do what you want Him to do while not in compliance.
The enemy of righteousness, the adversary, can mimic the Spirit of God and it usually comes with supernatural manifestations in some degree (think about the pharaohs sorcerers in Exodus 7).
There are no doubt people in that audience that are seeking God with their entire heart. There are also no doubt people that just want to see some exciting manifestation of the divine. This is the way it always has been and always will. That being said, if this is of God I do NOT want to oppose it. If this is not of God I want to be far from it.
Remember when the sons of Aaron kindled and offered 'strange fire' before The Lord (Leviticus 10 / Numbers 3)? All of these Old Testament stories happened and they were many times a literal event that foreshadowed a spiritual truth necessary to understand major concepts the closer we get to the end. Do not be deceived. Stay in prayer and study the word.

This is how revivals start. They just happen with no forethought or planning. The Almighty just decides to show up on the scene in a powerful way.

I've been praying since around 2015 for this consistently and to spread around America and the world. True repentance and faith in Christ alone.

Two of my employees took the weekend off to go to a revival with their entire family. I wonder if it was this one...
So basically a bunch of "Christians" have had a prayer meeting that hasn't stopped?
I think Christians in the West have no idea wtf they're talking about anymore.
The Great Awakening because God is merciful
May this spread to the whole of existence, to the last corners of Gods Green World.
Amazing. Regardless of the full story, lives are being saved. I am not much given to expressions of "Hallelujah", but this seems appropriate.
Amen!
Kentucky is where churches have people manhandle and play with real poisonous snakes.
Just sayin'
Go away...
