RIGHT ON CUE: What is the logical media response to "Lawful gun owners are never the ones carrying out mass shootings"??? (media.greatawakening.win) 🔍 Notable

Trump did a good job on calling out Soros.

He needs to do the same about the gun debate.

This is being funded by someone.

Trump needs to come out and say [XYZ] wants to take away your guns. It's a small group of people who want control.

I'm not so sure I buy that at all. My guess is they are purposely omitting a lot of salient facts to push a "senseless violence" or "wild west" narrative.

– Wtf_socialismreally 31 points 3 years ago +31 / -0

I also don't buy it.

It's basically nonsensical to shoot someone for a "mistaken turn" or "wrong house".

The first thing that will happen in almost every instance is being warned away.

There is clearly more to each and every story.

One million percent!

I’ll go out on a limb and say it wasn’t an accident that they took a “wrong turn” on that long ass driveway. I was a young person once and these “kids” were probably looking to investigate / break into a cool looking house on the top of a hill.

Not judging a book by its cover but this chick has some sus looking photos, weird piercings in her face and tattoos - not that that means anything but it does when they are using an early photo where she looks sweet and innocent.

I’m not buying the “wrong turn” narrative at all.

What do you mean sus looking photos with piercings and tats mean nothing. It means everything. You're entitled 100% to judge a book by its cover. Normal people act normal and have normal photos. Freaks and degenerates don't.

Let's say, for argument's sake, that there was nothing more to it, there were no warnings... It's the criminality in today's society that makes people nervous enough to shoot first and ask questions later. It's the fact that crime has been allowed to increase and fester. Real justice is needed to cut down on crimes and people will feel comfortable enough to trust strangers more.

I did read the lawyer's statement about the guy who shot kaylin gillis. He says it wasnt just a random car pulling into a driveway.

It was a whole convoy of cars, driving up a 1/8th of a mile "driveway" marked with No Trespassing signs.

And according to the lawyer they were all revving their engines and trying to be intimidating.

The main hole in the defense is that the shot seems to have been fired after the cars decided to leave, but it could just be they decided to leave when shots rang out.

They might really have been there by accident but i wouldnt put it past a bunch of punks to try to bully some hillbilly

I dont know the shooter or the kids involved so who knows. Gonna have to wait for the trial

That changes the story ... DRAMATICALLY.

Yeah of course the kids wouldnt say "we were trying to intimidate this hillbilly but we ran when he opened fire". But also the hillbilly wouldnt say "so there i was opening fire on some lost children for no reason".

Only one version is true or maybe something in the middle, so i'm content to await the trial

His lawyer also said he didn’t intend to hurt anyone when he fired. It was an accident because he didn’t mean to shoot them, just scare them off.

Makes perfect sense. Dude was probably just sick of people trespassing on his property, throwing trash, making noise, causing damage, etc. I know several property owners who have had rando assholes dump piss stained sofas, mattresses, etc. Or even have had contractors dump construction waste there. Guy likely just wants to be left TF alone on HIS PROPERTY and some rando "yoofs" decide to hassle him for laughs.

▲ 3 ▼
– Deplorable_in_PA 3 points 3 years ago +3 / -0

Oh really? Yeah, wow, that makes way more sense now. It also jibes with what neighbors have said about the guy being pissed about people using his driveway. NO shooting is just "random". Even gang shootings have some rhyme or reason.

Thanks for sharing some actual facts. It really sickens me that to so many truth and facts no longer matter, just some BS narrative.

I'm with you, facts are omitted. I'm wondering, for example, if the dude in NY was purposefully selected and egged on/encouraged (somehow?) to commit that shooting.

Someone posted info from the shooters lawyer - scroll up a little. Short story is there was a group of them in cars trespassing on his driveway, sounding like this was not an isolated incident. He's had problems before with trespassers, guy wants them gone, shoots, gets "lucky" and hits the girl in a car.

The stupidity is what happens after your mistake, not the mistake itself.

I guarantee you're going to be asked "what the fuck you're doing" well before any discharge.

The only time where this might not be the case is someone who is jumpy because they have been the victim of prior crimes in the area.

– suleo 5 points 3 years ago +5 / -0

Also, generally speaking, aside from some insane murderhobo, people WILL give you some sort of verbal warning before throwing lead at you. Even if it's the racking sound.

It's really hard for me to see someone taking a wrong turn and being shot at by some homeowner. By some thug in the ghetto, maybe, but even then...what's the point. Thug probably would want your stuff.

This is partly why these stories stink.

All of these seem very suspect to me. And notice the sources: CNN, ABC, NPR, etc. These articles scream "narrative" to me.

The Ralph Yarl bit especially seems suspect. There are enough holes in that one big enough to drive a Mack truck through. One of the fake news bunch tweeted out Yarl was in the guy's house, and not even 5 minutes later they edited it to say "rang the doorbell". A little bit different situation there.

And take the actors involved...Ralph Yarl was picking up his younger brothers from a day care. He played several instruments and was on a college track. Does he really seem like the kind of kid that would break into someone's house? All by himself in the middle of the day? He went to several neighboring houses for help but didn't have a phone to call 911? And the shooter. Some rando old fart with no glaring criminal record. And he shot Yarl with a 32 revolver. Who in the hell uses a 32 revolver unless they were going to rob a stagecoach? It must have been laying around his house for decades. But he randomly shoots some black kid at his door?

My guess is all these stories are either totally bogus or else they are willingly choosing to omit some very important details.

▲ 11 ▼
– suleo 11 points 3 years ago +11 / -0

Yea the narrative is so obvious. We've become masters at spotting the bullshit.

The more they push, the less effective their lies become. Which is why I want them to keep pushing. Not that they will stop anyway, it's like asking a scorpion to stop stinging. Can't happen.

Why do the national media outlets have these stories and not local affiliates? Or do they?

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– Deplorable_in_PA 2 points 3 years ago +2 / -0

Depends. Sometimes the local news has it, others not. There was a mall shooting nearby. The shooter was stopped by a citizen with a concealed carry permit. Guess the guy dropped the perp with a single shot from almost 50 yards away. The local news included that in their report. The larger network affiliate "somehow" conveniently left that part out.

Sixteen year old picking up his eleven year old twin brothers from a friend's house at 10pm, not the middle of the day. Guy is in his 80s, so could be something he had laying around.

My guess is he thought he was at his brothers friend's house and tried walking in the door. Missouri has castle law that might cover this. Just depends on what happened. Going to be kid's word against the older man's word.

Same as it ever was, consensus building in order to push thru new laws. But, too much has happened since 2008 and even the left has armed up. Anti-gun forces can no longer count on their base to support them like yapping seals. So basically gun control as an issue is dead, a zombie even.

So, if more laws passed what changes? No one except a minority would give them up. Not with AUS/NZ being pushed into camps or the potential for Summer of Love 2: Off the Chain looming. Also, gun rights have been getting victory after victory. A plurality of states now allow no license concealed carry. Ten years ago, a fraction of that. "They" will keep pushing this and keep losing.

Everyone see here what's going on? The mass shootings really aren't moving the needle for gun control. So now they have to trot out some horseshit narrative about a rash of "random" shootings and that it's the "wild west" gain.. I don't buy any of those articles are telling the whole story and not leaving facts out - on purpose.

permalink save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– jcab93 [S] 2 points 3 years ago +2 / -0

It pays to read through these things. At first glance, I thought that they were reporting on 6 completely separate incidents - which looks pretty bad. Four of the articles listed are about the same shooting, just with slightly different wording/focus.

(Having problems editing today. Yikes.)

1: None of the cited examples qualify as "Mass shootings."

2: The last one is obvious race-baiting. "Mother of Black teen...white man charged with...attempted murder..." (Note inconsistent capitalization). Had the races been reversed, does anyone think the racial angle would have been so heavily stressed?

3: As already noted here, most of the salient details have been omitted from these questionable "examples."

The propaganda machine is going full speed.

There is a lot of Christians and conservatives that (in my opinion) need to pray and critically think about this.

They are wanting these public schools to be able to open carry. It is the same evil working both sides of this.

A Christian and a conservative (in my opinion) should be more about closing the school system altogether over wanting any government official to be allowed to open carry untied this pretense of protecting children.

We already see schools all across USA masked the children, shutdown schools and locked kids in homes over a hoax.

Now seemingly conservatives and Christian’s are pushing for armed teachers?

Very dangerous. Just use logic.

What happens when a parent is trying to pick up their kid -lawfully and these already locked up schools misinterpret the parent as a threat? Or worse treat parent / teacher conferences and the parent wants to speak their mind?

I believe 100 percent that the democratic and others want guns in the classroom for more control over the citizens.

I believe 100 percent that these people doing the shootings are organized terrorists - just as we see in other parts of the world with those who strap bombs.

Why are so many blind to this? Maybe I am wrong but honestly I doubt it.

permalink save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– jcab93 [S] 2 points 3 years ago +2 / -0

I've often asked if the teachers-with-guns angle is the right answer to the issue myself. Most are already half-cocked, fully indoctrinated liberals. Now you've given them the ability to lock themselves inside a classroom full of children while having a weapon.

All it takes is one. More innocent lives lost and the media will forever shove it in our face that "See?! Your idea didn't work!"

Not worth it. If guns are to be added to schools, they need to be between the door of the school and the door of the classroom.

How did the SS take root? We already have police. Local police the tax payers pay for. Use them. We need to possibly refrain them from what I have seen over the past decade.

I watch a lot of citizen journalism for a long time now. At first I thought these people were rude and such but there is an angle and heck if we are truly free we all have the right to be press.

For me with the little bit I see — we need organized uprising (like what a church would call a revival) yet indeed that is what this is all about.

DeSantis does have one thing right-we should build a prison next to any place that tries to use children as their shield.

Yep. This is what they are doing and have been doing. Conservatives and Christian’s fall for it over and over again.

The reality is there is only a few outcomes remaining and it is approaching faster than even the most informed person sees and yet individually we are still feeling isolated and see only talk and clamoring.

Action is required and I do believe there is action and I do have patience—the suspense is still there though. ;)
