We are already using lake water for all our irrigation, and we’re windows open and closed each night, we cook mostly outdoors in summer.
With all that effort we still are looking at 200 bucks for 2100sf. Truly I could build a passive gas generator for the whole place at a quarter the cost of solar, but the noise isn’t fair to the neighbors.
Anyway, hope things become more reasonable in the future regardless.

Sure, it's not $300 premium Japanese fill, but that's not an affordable pillow to many people in a market where $200+ pillows are becoming the norm.

My My Pillow body pillow is my sound and sight regulator that goes over my head at night and after having it a few years, it's exactly the same as when I got it.
I have had to research and try a lot of pillows. I have unusually broad shoulders which makes loft difficult (both too high and too low options, never in between!) and I run a bit hotter than most people to begin with, so I am particular about my pillow being cool -- or at least not hot.
Led me to look into a lot of different brands, but supported My Pillow because he was our guy. Don't regret it for an instant, but the regular pillows just couldn't fulfill my needs. Never once thought they were bad or lumpy, just pillows are a very subjective thing like beds. Important to find what works for you.

The foam compresses out of lumpiness well enough as you lay on it. I've never had an issue. But if I just touched it with my hand, sure I could say it feels lumpy.
They're not super smooth but that isn't really the appeal for me. They're supposed to be adjustable, and the cubes in there make it way more comfortable to fold over and get positioned right. Helped me stop getting the occasional kink in my neck
The weight of my head smooths out any lumps wherever I lay on it. That's part of the good thing about memory foam. Never feel any corners poking me or anything like that.

You're right. I tried one, but since I flip from side to side and also sleep on my back, the foam chunks required too much repeated adjustment for me. So I got a different pillow. No big deal.
I can't think of any way to make a pillow out of foam chunks and have the surface be of a perfectly smooth contour. Chunks have edges. The chunks are a FEATURE of the pillow that users love. Go Mike go!

There are different fillings - pick a filling that is less firm. If you bought it from a store and not online that is probably why you got one that is too firm for you.
The pillows are not perfect. My wife hates hers. I have a theory she needs the lowest level of fill but I do not have the heart to call their customer service to complain. the fit chart is not accurate

Well I’ve tried lots of pillows over the 76 years and mikes pillows are adjustable just like he said. They don’t fall flat after a few hours. They come in different lofts, more fill, less fill, but they work. The way the foam is cut make em adjustable.
I am so particular about my pillows I had the same two from 1991 to 2017, washed millions of times and went anywhere I spent the night...then I tried My Pillow, and I own 10 of them, as well as a mattress, sheet...the slippers were shoddy, in my opinion...
They have to be put in the dryer on medium or something for 15 minutes to "plump up the lumps". This is right out of the box, shouldn't have to do it again.

Yeah, they feel lumpy to your hand, but then you use it for it's intended use as a pillow and it's all good, not lumpy feeling.

Life pro tip if you don't know: Many towels that feel soft have a bunch of fabric softeners added in that reduces their absorbancy.
Good towels can also be ruined by those same fabric softeners, which can lead to strings, pilling or a rougher feel.
Thanks! I don't put in additional fabric softener, but I'm sure there's probably stuff in my detergent. Just using a store brand atm.
