Catherine Austin Fitts is a huge fan of Joseph Farrell and has read all of his books.
When you consider Farrells books have titles like Giza Death Star, Nazi International, and Genes Giants Monsters and Men, you can see that Fitts is more awake than just about any other Washington bureaucrat.
But when you operate way out on the edges of understanding & knowledge it's not uncommon to find you are actually just lost in the weeds. Because you find yourself where no one in their right mind would go or follow .
I question this because of all the support staff, infrastructure repair and upkeep that would be needed for such an enormous enterprise. I don’t believe this to be true at 170 or even 17. If this was true we’d have a whistleblower. Just my opinion.

There have been many whistleblowers. If you bothered to watch the video at the top of this post, then you just saw one of the most recent ones.
The problem is that we've all been brainwashed for our entire lives to think that DUMBs are just a conspiracy theory, and that such things are impossible for one reason or another. Your reaction proves that the brainwashing has been very effective.
We still have zero proof. Either side could still be correct. Everyone here has to make a conscious decision what to believe regarding it. I believe there is potential for it, but I've no reason to simply adopt the idea without proof. Personally there is too much acceptance of ideas without proof. Potential, probable, likely are all ok, but full blown belief, I'll hold until something credible proof surfaces. It will take a public announcement from a trump team to get me there.
If anyone has read the John Matherson series of novels, any guess on who would be in these underground bases? It won't be me or any of us on this board.
I would like to see the documentation of the existing bases. Cheyenne Mountain exists, but for the purpose of surviving a direct hit by an atomic weapon and still providing command and control over our own nuclear forces.
I am very doubtful about related speculations and guesswork, notorious for being on no ground whatsoever. The only extinction-level event threatening us is a collision with an asteroid. That being the case, far more urgent and meaningful effort should be directed toward means of fending off such collisions (obviously with powerful nuclear devices), but there is no priority, no urgency. NASA piddles around with concepts for flyswatters, under the assumption of plenty of time to play footsie with one of these monsters---when the most alarming cases are late-breaking discoveries that would only give us months or weeks to react, not years and years.
So, the point: If they are so concerned about extinction-level events as to spend tremendous sums and effort on survival---why do they take it for granted that a hit will happen, and not spend a dime on making sure we can prevent the hit? The means do not match the motive. (You've guessed it. I've published on this topic, also.)

It is astrophysically impossible for the Sun to become a supernova. But later in its life (7.6 billion years from now) it will have expanded into a red giant and will have engulfed the Earth. There's no escaping that one. But who will be here to escape?

Not sure that’s true. I read there is evidence it regularly does a mini-supernova. They have found mammoths flash frozen with one explanation being the surface of the earth was exposed to space by the blast wave. One explanation for comets is they are really just part of our atmosphere stripped off the planet and flung into orbit by the blast wave. It’s also one explanation for ice ages, where the earth is heated and massive amounts of moisture ends up in the atmosphere and then comes down as snow. Must be some source of heat that creates the conditions for the precipitation that results in the rapid formation of glaciers. There is more evidence as well around the formation of spherical glass beads they found all over the moon, but can’t remember the details.
Well, supernovas involve a particular fusion process that is not possible with smaller suns like ours. And they are end-of-life events for a star. Otto Muck (a real name), who wrote a book on the Myth of Atlantis, proposed that the frozen mammoths resulted from a massive volcanic eruption of what became the Azores, producing a vast ash cloud that drifted east over Europe and Russia and Siberia. It formed the "loess belt" of fertile soil and descended on mammoths in winter in a torrential rain of mud. (Good book on Atlantis, by the way.)

Not sure how that flash freezes massive animals built for surviving in the cold. These things were frozen solid so fast that the enzymes in their mouths did not have time to start breaking down flowers in their mouths. It was an instantaneous freezing solid.
How can you create a hypothetical scenario that would result in flash freezing but completely ignore the flash heating that would occur immediately before the flash freezing? In your scenario, every organic thing on earth would be flash cooked by steam immediately before it was flash frozen, not preserved in pristine undamaged condition in blocks of ice.
Not necessarily immediately. First would be the heat, with the blast wave coming after, so the two events could impact different locations with the rotation of the planet.

Gee whiz. Being flash frozen depends on the environmental circumstances, not on being hairy or not. And the whole point of the hair is to prevent the body from being cooled to fatally cold temperatures. Human beings thrown into water at 40 to 50 degrees commonly die of the cold, not anywhere near freezing. Being submerged in mud that rapidly freezes would doom a mammoth as well as anyone. Muck has more to say about that in his book, if you are interested.
The theory I've heard about is that the sun will micro-nova; that every 12,000 years or so it blows off debris and dust in the form of a recurrent micro-nova or perhaps super flare. I can't provide their reasoning, Im just repeating what I've heard as its somewhat related to what you're saying. Who knew the end times would be the fun times?
Nobody thinks that. Some think the magnetic pole shift, some think cosmic debris, some think the earth will pass through a radiation field emanating from the galactic core, some think a combination but no one thinks the sun will go super nova.

Austin Fitts took me down one of the first rabbit holes I encountered, in 2015. Black Budget, etc, - a lecture at a Secret Space Program conference. I've always held her to be very solid, based, and on a spiritual level, proactive.
However, in recent times, on her Solari Report channel, she basically seems to buy into or promote the idea that Donald Trump is controlled, and part of the Elite's control program.
I just tune out at that point. Probably I shouldn't, but I'm all in on Trump. I trust God and I trust he's using Trump. So I steer clear of Trump is part of the Elite program of control narratives.

Anyone who has lived near a mine would know that the enormous mass of earth that comes out would be impossible to hide, as would the traffic needed to remove it to another location, where in turn it would not be possible to hide. The number of people needed to develop the mine would also be impossible to hide, as would the supply logistics.
Small bunkers would be reasonable and probably have been made for select occupants, but not "city sized" underground bases.
Maybe that's why they push Granite as a ideal kitchen counter now in many kitchens.

Years ago Jesse Ventura, former governor of Minnesota, was on a TV show where he was showing the people these towns (DUMBS). They even videoed one, where you could see the stores, the food growing facilities, the two lane highways, large enough for two semis, and the entrances that were disguised so well, the average person couldn't see them. This isn't really new news. It has just been well suppressed.
