I decided months ago, after a lot of wheel spinning, that I am not longer going to use my effort to talk to liberals about politics. It's not being black pilled, it's understanding how my limited energy and intellect is being used in the world. I decided that I'm going to bluntly let liberals know this now instead of even beginning to entertain their bait.
I don't need to convince anyone of anything. It's not up to me to save them. If it were then I would have reasoned that getting a vax and a mask were the right thing to do. Your safety and understanding of the world is not my personal responsibility. I don't owe an explanation. I cannot be expected to pick up the slack for your mental laziness.
It's not about what would Jesus do in this situation. People know where I stand on this subject if they know me.
I'm sure someone will disagree with me saying it's our "job" (thankless & payless) to lead the normies like some pied piper rat king. Why do I need to understand your side of your own argument better than you do, my side that you don't even begin to grasp, AND convince you of what is right? My brother in law is a California liberal. My wife really has to stifle herself when she talks to her brother. And stifling is not one of her strong points. I think for most people arguments won't do it. It takes an event or something that affects them directly before they can see things differently. Its almost like trying to spread religion, if they aren't already searching for the truth in some way, then they won't accept arguments.
I think some of today's problem is the division. And the hatred from democrats in general. When I was young. Disagreeing with someone never brought about wishes of death. Nor attempts to kill. Back then everyone wanted what was best for the country. Loved our country. Now they hate it. Hate hate hate. You can't reason with hate.
This sounds accurate and reflects the experience I've had. They act like you're arguing with them so that you can win the "who's right" battle. If they understood what you were trying to tell them they'd know that you're trying to help them.
It's not a selfish thing for me, I don't get anything out of knowing that you understand things the way I understand things. We're not "bros" now because we both think the same thing. I stopped talking about jabs and politics back during the scamdemic. I have a small family (11 people) and only 3 of us are 'awake'. After a couple of arguments we decided it wasn't worth the stress trying to convince them. They still trusted the MSM over anything we had to say.

I don't know or meet any liberals,just a few democrats and I can discuss things with them. They are not happy with their party,I think some even voted for Trump.
About 80% of my closest friends are liberal. We used to debate online and in person. Once Trump and Antifa entered mainstream conversation, they became deranged and we couldn't talk politics anymore.
When a person fuses their identity with left-wing political beliefs, they are lost. There's no getting through. Only a trauma or a betrayal can unfuse those beliefs, so I don't try. I'll leave it to white hats to show these people how they've been betrayed their entire lives, then they can reroute their lives back into the real world.
Yet decades and decades of the same betrayal has done nothing but make them more bitter and less tolerable of anything they don't align with. The fact black people as a 90% block vote for their former slave masters still to this day is proof. They will never change until the "tough" part of "tough love" starts happening.

People (including myself at times) have to be open to the idea of having their mind changed, and this is only possible if you hold the idea of Truth as a value. Yes. Any every time I think otherwise I am reminded that I was mistaken. The 4-5% lost forever quote from ever ago at this point in reality is closer to 30-40%. The last election was a temperature check and a lot did wake up and switch over but there are still way way way way way too many idiots in this world rotten to the core who will never change. Good advice. Presently staying with wife’s cousin for a few days as they live near Duke for my honey’s doctor visit for her transplant 2-3x a year. Very nice folks but don’t bring up politics. I just say yes, haven’t heard that, anything to keep him from going off his rocker. Keep it on sports, grilling or anything else. I just read GAW and smile knowing Trump has this.
