Porn is definitely a problem when 98% of men say they've used it. It's meant to distract you, make you weak, soft, limp, easy to manipulate. Don't fall for it. Get away from it. Seek true beauty in nature, or in classical art or music. Put your down time to other uses. Start working out, take up a hobby, go outside, get some air! You will feel so much lighter once you shake off the chains of porn.

Read 12 rules for life. Good solid advice there.

If you become a good man. That alone will be attractive. Along with other good points you will find in a book.

The book is not about dating or anything like that. But how to give meaning to your life. Trust me it will help.

Beyond Order just came out yesterday, I can't wait to dig in! Dr. Peterson had a huge impact on my own 'awakening' and I still revisit or am reminded of some of his 'rules' in my day-to-day. Been a fan for some time now and can't recommend him enough.

He's never directly explicit about it, but his whole 'use your sight > aim at a target > words to action' spiel is literally describing the Holy Spirit at work and how it manifests within each of us/we all have the power of creation at our fingertips.

I have been semi-familiar with the Bible since I was young, but JBP's explanations really clicked with me in that it is likely the best way the people of that time could transcribe the 'Word of Life' given the times in which they lived. His lectures on Genesis alone are worth watching just to start to understand the bible as a sort of guide to humankind and its redemption.

tl;dr: read it, watch him if you can; the original 12 rules changed my worldview and kicked off my own personal awakening; highly recommended as a starting spot.

Killed my wifes. She was on it for three months to help control a problem with menstruation. Completely changed her and she is beyond upset and depressed about it. From very healthy tiger to zero interest. It's been two years. She feels so bad for me. I love her enough that I dont care much. I just wish for her sake she gets it back.

Pharma. So beyond wrong.

When you go to the dr about depression or anxiety the first thing they do is throw meds at you. Those meds never address the root of the problem and instead of going on medication people should look into therapy. Nothing wrong with taking and as needed prescribed medication to prevent a full on panic attack, just resist the temptation to abuse the drug. Women also aren’t the only ones on anti depressants. This is all big pharm they solve the “problem” by selling their drugs. Not trying to say everyone should refuse medications I just think if you can function with out it then it’s not needed. Some people need it and that’s the intended purpose of medication. They medicate everyone now and worst of all now they’re targeting children.

Come on people. Get a sense of humor. That was funny.

Also, if you are 1.) single and 2.) totally upfront and honest about not wanting a commitment and dating other women, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this. The key is being honest.

You know what's funny though. If you do this, you will become more desirable to women. It's that confidence thing.

Eventually, though, settling down with an amazing woman that is your best friend and soul mate is the most amazing thing that can happen.

Honestly I’m surprised there’s this much debate on this subject here. If you’re at all awake, you should know this is a battle of Good vs Evil. God vs Satan. And we all know porn isn’t on the side of God. It’s degenerate, sinful, garbage. It rots the soul and perverts the mind.

From what I’ve seen people get the most defensive about porn addiction than any other addiction. A smoker will admit that cigarettes are bad for them and they’re trying to quit, but you tell someone masturbation is bad and they’ll come up with a laundry list of excuses to justify their behavior with stuff like “it’s healthy! It prevents prostate cancer! It helps me sleep!”

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 4 ▼
– FuckCommies 4 points 5 years ago +4 / -0

I feel like masturbation is a normal healthy human function. Problem being it isn't naturally imaginative any more. There are literally support groups for people who cannot physically get off unless they are watching porn.

I never thought of it as healthy or natural. I always knew it was perverted. But I didn’t walk with God like I should’ve in my 20s. I fell victim to the culture the DS had perpetuated. Hookups and a couple one night stands. I knew deep down they weren’t good for me, but didn’t know what I was doing to my soul. Now that I’m awake I’m very sorrowful for things I used to think weren’t a big deal. Occasional porn was one of them. Not anymore. They say the average age a child is introduced to porn now is 7. Freaking seven? That’s way too young. And kids are asking for nudes and being super perverted at younger ages. The movie Cuties isn’t far off. They’re sexualized at younger and younger ages. And porn has a hand in it.

When I grew up, in the 60's, boys weren't interested in girls until pretty much puberty (~12 or 13), but as I grew older, that age kept creeping down to where it is today, with 7 or 8 yr old boys talking about having a girlfriend! The media is responsible, and for girls, the hormones in various foods have lowered their puberty age.

I think a guy is always going to be geared towards bedding many women. That is in our DNA. It is our own personal struggle.

That said - it is a lot healthier chasing women than it is being addicted to porn.

I don’t know if I believe in that sentiment. I think that’s a cabal construct to keep men perpetually bagging as many of women as possible, unhappy in trying to pursue the next best thing, chasing the dragon because it will never be attained, all while destroying the nuclear family etc. Biblically, God created Adam then created Eve for him, not MULTIPLE Eves. Just one woman. God intended for us to give ourselves to just one person and to love each other, partnering with love, becoming fruitful. I regret that I gave myself to my high school sweetheart and multiple hookups later. That girl gave her whole entire heart to someone who didn’t deserve it. Those years and sexual drive were meant for my now husband who deserves that part of me. Not those men who never intended to stick around. Porn aids this mindset. Men will never attain that primo ass in real life, nor that many beautiful women as they see hours of video. It is rotting their minds. Women also think that’s what men want. The then allow themselves to be degraded. And the more porn you watch, the more bored they’ll be, so soon they’ll find themselves masturbating to violent hardcore, borderline (if not possibly real) rape.

I'm religious - so we're speaking the same language. I think part of what we're called to do, religiously, is to overcome what we are. By nature, man is greedy, jealous, lustful, etc. In order to lead a good life, you must overcome those desires.

I will say that lust is probably the hardest item to overcome. It strikes us as an urge no different than "being hungry." Sure, the feeling ebbs and flows. But there are times where you will overindulge.

The idea isn't to "not make a mistake." The idea is to learn from your mistake and be better next time.

An excess could also be a perversion, Porn takes the sexual relationship between a man and a woman (it should only be between a man and his wife, which in that way it is a perversion) and brings a third person into it as an observer (the person watching it) some pornography is a perversion of the sexual relationship others an excess (ones with multiple people participating).

My point is that porn is negative in the way that it taints a man's psychology so bad. It rewires your brain to get turned on by looking at a fucking screen. Excessive porn use can cause E.D. I haven't even mentioned the multiple human rights abuses and trafficking violations that porn production is directly responsible for.

There is literally no good benefit that porn provides all it does is give you temporary pleasure at all the costs of the negative side effects.

I don’t make the rules.

You just did. Anyway, why did all the heroes of the Bible have multiple wives then? Why is Monogamy a very new concept when weighed against the rest of history? Why are humans the only species on the planet that suddenly decided to be monogamous? Why do men have an inherent desire to spread their seed into every hole? Why do women crave to be plowed by multiple men? Why can't you give your own explanation instead of copping out with "muh Bible" and "priest who touched me"?

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– SophiatheCopt 1 point 5 years ago +1 / -0

I can't say why God allowed it in the OT, very few had multiple wives that I am aware of. In the NT we are told the husband of one wife (22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Ephesians 5:22-23) in the OT when we see the creation of Adam and Eve it says "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." Gen 2:24 I can only say this is a human issue of sin and corruption, we were not created to have multiple partners, you see the problems caused with Abraham Sarah and Hagar (she wasn't even his wife but a slave of Sarah), you see King Solomon who had all the wisdom of God and still he was led astray to worship the idols by trying to please his many many many wives. Also I am not sure where you get "priest who touched me" from?

PornHub got slammed for copyright infringement. As for CP, that shit gets uploaded to porn sites all the time, but is very quickly deleted.

Yes there are probably some elements of the industry that are tied to human trafficking that need to be quashed. But the industry as a whole tends to agree that consent and legal age is an unnegotiable standard. I'm not going to pretend that porn isn't degenerate, but evil? No. It's objective is to make money first and foremost and those who partake are doing so cause they want to.

Unless you catch on to its effects first. Not everyone who acts and watches suddenly comes down with mental issues.

This isn't to say there aren't problems. Absolutely and really porn addiction does need to be addressed and called what it is. It should be a warning label like tobacco and alcohol.

But arbitrarily evil? No. That is a stretch. Porn isn't some irresistible drug that can't be satiated. That's your natural sex drive which doesn't change with or without porn.

There are black markets for everything: drugs, abortion, CP. Most people don’t pay for porn since it’s so easily accessible it’s like having a heroin dispenser in your room. We have many kids in elementary school who are exposed to porn since it’s always two clicks away which gets them addicted and fucks with their brains. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. Romans 7:15‭-‬25 NIV

You seriously believe that removing porn would minimise human traffcking?

If porn gets cancled in any way everything Will be moved to black markets. Thus being harder to find and harder to tell which is porn and which is trafficking. Take a look at what happened woth the banning of alcohol. Everything was made wosre. And you dont need anything but a camera to make porn so just imagine what would happen if there was a mass banning.

Juat like some dude said below the only thing that should be worried about is two things. Are they adults? Have they consented to eachother? Thats it. This whole talk about it being poison to the mind and that it helps traffcking is just bullshit and a distraction.

– Analophigus 9 points 5 years ago +9 / -0

Yes I do believe that trafficking would reduce in numbers if porn was banned. So do many other folks. Many documentaries on the subject, in fact.

However I will argue that it is better to expose the porn industry for what a cess pool it really is and make people find disgust in it. After that happens, it will go the same way as any company who goes woke.

– Analophigus 1 point 5 years ago +1 / -0

My above comment relates to yours as well.

More people drank alcohol before prohibition than during prohibition (i.e. making it illegal actually reduced the consumption rates). Oregon had an issue with illegal marijuana consumption before they made marijuana legal. Do you know what happened when they did this? More people decided to use marijuana recreationally - that means that less people used marijuana when it was illegal to use. So... yes, I do believe porn being illegal would reduce rates of consumption (especially by our poor children who are subjected to pornography at such young ages these days).

Again, I am not arguing that it should be illegal. I would advocate that all porn become way more regulated. It should not be offered for free under any circumstance. It should not be so easy to find on the internet. Producers of pornography should be able to provide receipts of actor/actress ages and consent forms before engaging in pornographic activity. Anyone who has not done that and is producing the material should be prosecuted and it should be illegal to create pornography unless those receipts are presented.

it doesn't matter how much people are drinking. my point is that the banning of alcohol led to more crimes. it led to shoot outs. it led to shit we didn't need. that's why the ban was lifted because it caused more problems. how do you think it should be regulated. im all ears

I am not wrong. More people drank before prohibition than during prohibition because of the simple fact that it was illegal. Your argument is the same argument that Oregon just used to decriminalize all drugs; they believe it will/would reduce drug use. Well, has decriminalizing drugs helped in reducing drug rates in Oregon? Fuck no they haven’t; its exacerbated the issue (by design). Take marijuana for example - less people used that substance when it was illegal then when it was legal.

Furthermore, the argument that “well people will find a way to find porn on the black market if it was illegal” is equal to the “if abortions are illegal than abortion rates will not reduce, only the method of abortion” or “if murder was illegal than people would just kill illegally.” So since people will find a way to break the law we should just not have laws? I disagree

Again, though, I am not against porn being legal. I think its degenerate and I am a million miles above that these days; however, I am completely for placing regulations on pornography such as mandatory subscriptions in order to keep kids from readily viewing pornography. Also any company that distributes pornography must comply to some form of entity that tracks the participants (verifies ages, consent, etc). More importantly, the great awakening will bring folks closer to God and hopefully make people want to drop pornography addiction all together for it is a detriment to our society.

This is a very weak argument because it can go for anything, example You think all life matters so if a woman is raped why doesn't her life matter anymore and she isn't allowed to terminate the pregnancy? You are just being a hypocrite because you don't think her life matters more than the fetuses!

You see how that works? You need to take everything with responsibility, not going to far one way or the other because then it becomes harmful. Porn shouldn't be allowed, its degrading to the men and women that preform in it, it is degrading to the fact we were created in the image of God, and it sets the standard that a sexual relationship isn't something that is precious but that you can just use and abuse and throw it away whenever you like.

There is a very deep emotional aspect to sex, two people becoming one in a sense.

Porn is a device used to brainwash a large population of people. Distorts your mind as to how sex works, gender roles, etc., and you're not living your own life while you're being distracted. Pornhub is in trouble for a reason, guys! Not just general principle, but the vice for underage girls wasn't being crippled either. Nobody's telling you what you can or can't do. We're just sharing our opinions on the matter and you're in hyper defense mode for degenerate behavior and denying it's having an effect on you. do people get addicted? yes do people get trafficked thru it? yes

im not denying these things. what im saying is that demonizing porn as a whole gets us no where. talking about the people who use it for bad actually gets us somewhere. this whole post is exactly how the left acts. something bad comes out of the subject and then means ban the whole subject to them. oh white people were racist back then? that means white people now have white privilege. you see how flawed that logic is ?

just because peoples lives got fucked up over it doesn't mean the next persons life will be to. if we used that logic your using against porn then all activities would be banned. " oh that kid got hurt on the playground? better ban the whole playground."

They used to have this. It was called sex education. It was a class specifically dedicated to exactly what your talking about. We leanered about putting on condoms. The dangers of stds. All of that. Its not being taught in todays schools and teenagers having sex with eachother is being more demonized by the day so a lot of kids are just sitting in the dark about sex, scared and confused. Unfortunately its up the parents and who ever controls the school system. We can scream into the ether all we want but at the end of the day those are not our kids to worry about. Thats why our focus should be on the people actually making it worse. For example we should advocate for sex education to come back. Not ban or demonize porn. Solutions not emotional knee jerks.

Until you start looking at porn as a symptom, instead of a problem, you will never "conquer" it. Same for drugs. Men are designed to respond to women who indicate willingness and availability. Porn displays those traits, and so men respond. Enough exposure, reduces the stimulus effect, causing those engaged to seek more tittilating porn. Nasty spiral.

Sexual excitement suppresses anxiety and with climax comes a sense of bliss. Both are highly desirable to most anyone. Not having a natural outlet for such activity, the ready availability of porn fills the gap for many/most. Even for those who do have a relationship that allows for sexual fulfillment, porn is frequently easier.

What is driving the stress? Can that be addressed systemically?

Interesting signposts on this journey:

From a documentary on the very low birth rate in Japan (applicable elsewhere), the real culprit seems to be a culture that promotes 100 hour work weeks and women in the workforce under similar conditions. Who has time to create a family, much less try and raise one.

From a conversation with a co-worker, while trying to encourage him to marry. "Why buy a cow, when you can get all the milk you want at the market for free?"

From a bumper sticker, "Porn is cheaper than a girlfriend."

Alcohol suppresses anxiety and the buzz can be blissful in its own way. Don't know from personal experience, just through long talks with a daughter who can drink most people under the table. She has a genetic condition that is very painful. Also an anxiety disorder. Self medication of choice is Caffeine and tobacco. tried most other street drugs. Luckily opiates don't work well after very short usage.

Alcohol quiets the anxiety, but the price is extreme. Hours of violent upchucking and more hours of what she calls the bizarros (delirium tremens). Being afraid to sleep for a couple of days following a day of severe food poisoning symptoms will tax anyone's system.

Luckily she's showing signs of progress, but the going is slow.

Yes it is a problem in more ways that you think.

Among other things it undermines relationships in a sense that people find sexual satisfaction outside of their normal relationship. Making the bonds on relationships weaker.

Also creates messed up expectations and we are not satisfied with our actual sexual partner. This is not alway noticeable but it does happen.

I am not trying to be a prude here. This are real psychological effects of porn use. Looking at it as just a sin misses the point in a large manner. After all, sins are sins because of reasons. Because God said so is a shallow mentality. Do try to understand why sins are sins in a deeper way.

Now claiming to understand God is an outlandish claim on its own. So I am sure you can imagine my dilemma when I am trying to explain this.

When I do that, even in places where we're "supposed" to not take God seriously like work or school, I find serious thinkers and believers in unexpected places. But you're right: lots of people don't give a hoot and dismiss any argument involving God because of the shallowness of Deus ex machine.

Normal human consumption of polyunsaturated fats (PUFA) are around 1 to 2 percent. Most people in developed nations have stored fats in the 20 to 40 range for PUFA. When we make fat ourselves (due to excess calories) it is stored as saturated fat. Saturated fats are single carbon chains with no double bonds so they are extremely stable. Butter and tallow will not rancidify. They won't oxidize or glycate within the body either. We can also make mono-unsaturated fat from saturated fat within our bodies as needed (SCD1 enzyme). It is not as stable as saturated fat but still needed for membrane flexibility and other mechanisms. PUFA have multiple double bonds and are highly unstable, both outside our bodies and inside. Extremely prone to oxidation/glycation. We have no mechanism to create PUFA within our bodies. If it was needed that function would exist. All of our cells are made from the fatty acids that they have available. Membranes are made of fat (lipid bilayer) and even more important our mitochondrial membranes are made from these fats. When the vital structure in our mitochondria called cardiolipin are made exclusively from PUFA (all 4 fatty acids) they are extremely vulnerable. On a macro scale, people who limit PUFA consumption to an ancestral level (below 4%) are almost immune to sunburn and resilient to normal burns. Sunlight (UV primarily) easily breaks down our cell membranes if they are constructed of PUFA. The byproducts of this breakdown (4-HNE, MDA, 13-HOD and many others) are very poisonous. 4-HNE for example attacks our P53 anti-cancer tumor suppressor. Heart disease and cancer was much more rare (while infectious disease was more common) before industrial seed oil consumption was mainstream. Of all things that are easily changed in our diets, the deletion of seed oils is the easies and brings the most benefit.

Thanks. I didn't mean to ask for such a comprehensive answer, but I do appreciate it. That's a lot to, ahem, digest. I cook with seed oils (and butter), but I'll be on the lookout for them on labels. Thanks again.

I have two questions. First, what's the A in PUFA? Second, do you have a resource you can recommend about rancidification of different oils? I've read anecdotally about peanut oil being almost as good and long-lasting (i.e., doesn't go rancid at room temperature) as olive, but I've never been able to find solid data. Appreciated if you have it, obv no worries if you don't.

The A in PUFA is just acid, as in polyunsaturated fatty acid. Manufacturers add potent antioxidants(ie vitamin e) to fragile oils to extend their shelf life. Fat fragility with cooking is one thing, but inside our bodies is more important. The strongest source of oxidants is within our mitochondria. No real way to avoid that so it's better to ensure that they (cardiolipin in particular) are built from more resilient fatty acids.

As for heart disease, atherosclerosis only happens with oxidized or glycated cholesterol. Of course the 'medical establishment' focuses on lowering cholesterol when people should instead build their cholesterol out of more robust fatty acids (Saturated or mono) instead of PUFA. Macrophages and resulting foam cells don't even react to native, non-oxidized or glycated cholesterol. The statin drug industry has earned $1 trillion for them over the last several decades. Completely unnecessary, and harmful to normal hormone production which requires cholesterol.

Olive oil is high in monounsaturated fatty acids are beneficial. Even when the single double bond is broken it goes into two shorter chain saturated fats, not the poisonous junk that pufas degrade into. Many off-the-shelf olive or avocado oils are spiked with cheap soybean oil (high pufa) so I just use butter (or ghee), coconut oil and tallow.

Porn addiction escalates. I saw this guy from S. Africa who had a sister abducted. He saves them now. He said research shows porn addiction can lead to pedophilia. Neurons get rearranged or something. Said it has to keep escalating to satisfy them. Gross fuckers! It should be illegal. It's leading to so much bad shit!

Free speech, sorta. If 'hollywood' can make Evil, gross and repugnant flicks about vampires and all the other satanic shiite they do, why can not adults have sex on camera? Pedos can sit, allegedly sit, in my White House but porn is the problem....

Nope. Planned Parenthood murders millions each year, seems to be 'ok' with Society. Schools preach queer shiite and other perversions, Society seems to be ok with it. hillary trafficks kids, Society doesn't even wanna know.

Porn ain't a problem, Society is. If adults wanna watch other adults get nekkid it's probably better for them mentally than is watching the View or CNN, disney or netflix.

We have Free Will, for now at least, and so people can make and watch porn if they wish to do so, unless and until they interfere with 'your' Rights we should not think to affect 'theirs'.

If it is illegal porn then sure, hang they azzes. Oh wait, we don't 'do' Laws any more in this country do we.

“If adults...”. Cool, so how do we protect the kids? Paywall?

As always it is up to parents to protect kids. Parents have to go to libraries and kick the pedos and trannies out, if they want to protect their kids. Parents have to interdict the drugs in their neighborhoods, interdict the gangs if they want to protect their kids. Parents have to protect their kids, as always. Kids should not have phones or computers, no tiktoks or facebooks, no perverts in schools advocating. No disney advocating, or the other perverse assaults on our Society.

Paywalls or whatever, same as any media, sure, but Parents have to do the job. It is not 'my' responsibility to raise 'your' kids. You posted 'the kids', as if you meant all of them ; take my kids off that list, we the Parents did protect them, do protect them.

You cant protect kids agaisnt porn or sex. The parent has to make sure the kid is well informed about it the moment they see it. The less parents explain. The more the kid is going to try to find it. And they WILL find it if they truly wanted to. So the best course of action is what the parents teach the kids. Paywalls wont do jack shit. Same way how masks dont do jack shit

Of course you can protect kids from porn and sex. We have laws that prevent obvious violations. And that’s a good thing. It just makes sense to extend the decency laws already in place IRL to the internet.

I stopped viewing it when I woke up. Personally turned off by it. I see it as Satans honeypot now. Don’t know how others will feel but I could see it spilling over like that.

I don’t think porn will be available as widely as it is now, considering a lot of it contains underage girls and trafficked women.

With stated supported hypergamy, no fault divorce, and a court system rigged against men (from false rape allegations to suing sperm donors for child support!) it makes sense to avoid relationships with women in the vast majority of cases. That doesn't even address their overinflated sense of entitlement these days (which I think has been fueled by men treating their daughters like princesses.)

For men transitioning away from unsafe physical contact with women, porn can be a helpful outlet. But of course the ultimate goal for men on this path is to be so focused on one's own ambitions and goals that a relationship is seen as an unwanted distraction.

I don’t want to make this too long but I feel like I’m finally starting to conquer my porn addiction, been trying to purge this out of my life since 2012. This pandemic hasn’t helped whatsoever plus my brother passed away in June.

But recently something happened, I prayed for the first time about 2 weeks ago, I didn’t know what else to do as I feel I exhausted all of my options as far as beating this thing so I laid in my bed and prayed, I begged for guidance, I prayed for my brother’s blessing and a road forward.

I kid y’all not, two weeks later and I’ve only jacked off to porn ONCE. Were my prayers actually answered? Sure feels like, it feels like I’m finally on the right path to overcome. I shed tears last night coming to this realization, I WILL win. If you’re a porn addict you know where I’m coming from. Thank you OP because you made this thread at the perfect time since I don’t know who to talk to about it nor do I, I let porn destroy my teens and 20’s and will not let it go on any further as I approach 30.

A huge distraction. Since my own great awakening, I've lost interest in porn, and haven't been having sex with my boyfriend, so far as to have made an agreement to continue witholding until we get married.

Something about our joining this made us follow God ever more tightly. We've welcomed it whole heatedly.

Porn is evil. It’s weakens you, it makes you stupid. It’s even more dangerous nowadays because it’s free and easily accessible to anyone with internet. Just imagine what it does to the psychological development of children who can access it while still so young.

I can tell you from a woman's point of view that porn can ruin your chances of having a successful sex life. I'm not talking just about the fact that most woman dont have bodies like theirs. When men are used to masturbating to porn, they create an instant feedback loop that they NEED to get satisfied. No matter what a woman does, she can't complete with that. His hand instantly KNOWS what sensation he needs, she does not. There few things more off-putting that being with a guy who can't get off with a real person, and he says, "I'll do it myself" and pushes you out of the way. More and more of my peers are tired of trying to deal with porn addiction in the men they meet. They're crippled sexually, in a sense. I love sex but I'm not even dating anymore, I'm sick of dealing with it.

Live and let live. Some things are inherently evil and need regulating. Abusing children, for one. If consenting adults open their sex lives to the masses, and other consenting adults consume that product, why control that? Its still a slippery slope to try and force moral change thru law and regulation.

What you can do is live your life according to your own moral compass, and try to be a role model for those close to you. Effect change from within, and try to steer others in the right direction. Forcing compliance on the masses to follow your own personal principals is a loser. The immorality of murder, rape, theft, unwanted physical violence, kidnapping, animal abuse, etc is plain to see and requires action for the stability of humanity. All are offenses against others, without consent.

I understand many will quote the bible, and quote our founders quoting the bible, and show links between our Constutution and the bible. All are valid points. What is not valid is claiming that this country can not survive without its people believing in Jesus Christ as our savior and denouncing all things not in line with those values. One can easily adhere to the values of Christianity without being a believer and living life fully in the reflection of that.

A man who has affairs with other men, watches porn, and uses cocaine may be an awful person with a warped sense of morality. However, was it his choice to be attracted to men? Did the porn go looking for him, or was it the other way around? How about the coke? Would creating a law imposing criminal sanctions on adulterers actually have stopped him from cheating? Just as criminals are criminals because they dont care for laws, immoral folk are immoral because they dont care for morality. The answer isnt more restriction, and there is no quick solution. As with everything, it starts with YOU and FAMILY.

I dont think yall are ready for this conversation because someone people truly beleive problems go away just by removing something. People are starting to make waves saying cancel porn but doesn't realize that porn is as easy as making a two min video of yourself and your partner.

Becareful what you demonize because they did it with alcohol and look at what happened with that. All problems associated with it got worse
