Its because of how they have taught children for 2-3 decades now. Tons of people believe that the way to learn and deal with life is rote memorization. They have no critical thinking skills. They are literally taught to seek out authority in the form of people and or books online etc to know anything. They can't figure it out for themselves. People like that are VERY easy to manipulate as long as you represent the authority figure in their lives... which they view as the government and Hollywood.
Common core math is a blatant example of this. They don't teach methods to figure out math problems they teach tables of results. Everything is dumbed down.
Another way to look at it is the teach a man to fish vs give a man to fish parable. They taught people that only their pond has fish in it... or that its only legit to fish in their pond. They won't even go to another pond or try to learn new fishing techniques. For the most part they prefer the media just gives them the fish rather than them having to go work for it themselves.
We either take back education right now or this will only get worse and worse regardless of what Q does.
