I am suffering badly from insomnia, and it sucks. It started last week and I feel like a zombie. My wife said I should just chill out watch a few movies. I wish it was that simple. I am football (soccer) crazy but my team has been kneeling with the BLM bullshit. I actually canceled sky sports at the start of July and saved a bit of money as well. Anyway, I digress. Are there any frens out there with insomnia? You cannot un-know the shit we know. The whole world has gone crazy. 🙁🤡🤡.

I've been routinely staying up until 2AM. I've gotten that I like the peace and quiet.
I go to sleep when the Sun comes up, my Father wanted to do the same.
I have been having stress problems due to all the crap but also loosing one after the other of my family. They are all gone now and I am now dealing with estates. This week someone used an old email account to make an account that could connect to my bank account. He got $2000 before I could stop him that I will get back, but he kept trying and one of the emails I am using as proof its not me, shows I was sitting at the banks managers desk when they tried again. I am staying on Ashwaganda and it helps but I keep loosing weight. End of rant

Boy is that the truth. I've been lucky to get 3 or 4 hours lately. My mind just won't shut down with all the crazy things going on
Try and get about 15 minutes of sunshine around noon. I had years of insomnia and had tried every supplement and trick in the book. This made all the difference. I sit in the sun as much skin exposed as I can. Bare feet in the grass/dirt. Face turned towards the sun, you have to get the light into your eyeballs. Not looking directly at the sun but near it. 10-15 minutes a day and you will sleep no matter how stressed and worried you are.
I will try fren but I live in England, so the sun is not great here, lol. I get paid Friday so I am going to order some vitamin C and also vitamin D. I know it's not as good as natural sunshine, but I will see how it goes.
You can also get a sun lamp, I use one in the winter. Doesn't work as well as the real thing but helps some.
Melatonin will help you sleep, and it's supposedly good for the 'Rona prevention. You'll have some crazy ass dreams on it though. 😯
Vitamin D really helped me in the winter months. I highly recommend it.

I've tried every form of Magnesium there is. Helps a little but need a few other things. My problem with magnesium is my body has trouble clearing things from my system so even too much magnesium at bedtime and I'm sleepy all day. I also can't take too much D in capsule form because it interferes with my sleep, but getting it from the sun works like a charm.
Interesting! I burn through magnesium like crazy. That's great that you've figured out how your body works best. It can take so much time and trial and effort to get to that point. My son was grinding his teeth after too much vitamin D and it took me months to figure out. Magnesium took care of it. That being said, you can't beat time in the sun.
Haha....... I'm old, it's taken a long time to figure this much out and I have a long way to go yet. My body is also very weird. You know how people take B vitamins for energy? B's put me to sleep so I take them at night.

You can add 5-10 mg. of melatonin 30 minutes before you want to sleep. It actually is recommended in some covid protocols. I turn on either 432 HZ or 528 HZ music very quietly in the background. I have a couple favorites. MANY channels to choose from...some very busy...some just repeated tone. I also dot each side of my pillow with lavender and sometimes diffuse essential oils. Traditional Medicinal makes a "Nighty Night" tea that is effective. When I have trouble sleeping, I read or do sudoko. It can be difficult to turn your mind off...some nights no matter what I do I just can't sleep...it's usually when I have something important to do the next day. I always catch up though but I have started many a trip on just a few hours of sleep. I use My Pillow sheets and pillow and some nights I wake up in the same position I went to bed in. It's crazy.
Yes indeed. I am looking at trying out some vitamin supplements rather than prescription drugs. I will only take them for 1 week at a time and never longer. I have been through addiction issues in the past and I never ever want to go through that again. Lavender smells beautiful. I like the smell of Tiger Balm as well. If you gently rub on the temples, it really does wonders for tension headaches.

I just Google on my phone (the last one I replaced) "432 (or 528) hertz music you tube" and I get a ton of videos. The old phone is still connected to the internet...you just can't call. I usually pick out one that plays for 8 hours or more and just let it charge while it plays. I like the videos made by Meditative Mind. I like a single tone...some are too busy for me.
I babysit my 4 month old grandson on occasion and I put this on the tv. Many have a black screen for this purpose. I just say "432 (or 528) hertz music you tube" and choices come up. I found some Curare Wellness videos I like. You just have to find the music that resonates with you. I find the baby is much more relaxed with this background music. At home I often play this music as background. I don't do this every day or every night but I do it when I feel the need...particularly if I feel like I am trying to fight off illness.
I had five children and I totally sympathize with your situation. All I ever wanted was a good night's sleep. Please take time to care for yourself...perhaps a spa bath or massage your feet with lavender or diffuse some oils for relaxation. I always used homeopathics on my children because they were easy to administer and there are some great ones out there for every situation. Take the time to massage your baby's feet and body. I practically lived in a rocking chair.
Find like minded people...La Leche League or church or neighborhood playgroup or babysitting co-op that can help support you. Try to enjoy these times for too soon they will only be memories. Little children...little problems; big children...big problems. Essentially that just means live in the moment. God bless your family. While rocking it is a wonderful time to pray for your children and your family. God loves children...He said "Suffer the little children to come unto me, for such is the kingdom of heaven."

You can shop at Swanson or Vitamin Shoppe online or go to a local vitamin shop (even Wal-Mart) or you local grocery store. There are homeopathics for gas, teething, colic, colds...really just about anything. The directions always say what ages they are for. I had children in the 80's and used mostly single remedies but now there are many blends to choose from. Homeopathics are an entire study...there are many great reference books...Dana Ullman comes to mind. But many, many good books. Actually you can buy kits with many basic single remedies. Three remedies to always have on hand for children are Chamomilla for pain and fever, Apis for stings and Arnica for bumps and bruises. HOMEOPATHY really is an interesting study and gives you a lot of autonomy in keeping your children well and out of the doctor's office.

Yep same here fren. Me & OH are both having interrupted sleep but it’s best not to stress about it. Learned that the hard way when I got very ill with chronic insomnia years ago. I just use the waking time to mooch on here and other info sources and shitpost for the cause 🙏🏻

Mine is like this- fall asleep normal, but wake up every couple hours, for a while. Weird, for me.
Same here fren, the wife and I are up and down all night. I have spent this time getting healthy. I suggest working out, I know it's cliché, but it truly is an amazing way to release stress and anxiety, and you will sleep better. Get stronger, the world needs us to be.

My sleep was crazy f**ked up last year. Up all night, sleep all day. Also put a lot of weight on around my middle. Due to high anxiety. Managed to fix the sleep earlier this year and dropped the excess weight.
I have to quit the electronic/computer viewing about an hour before I sleep then go to bed and read a novel or something.
Yes I am feeling a lot of anxiety. It has not gone away. Which is why I am adhering to strict nutritional protocols and making sure to exercise several days a week. When we are feeling this way it becomes CRITICAL to take extra good care of yourself.

A huge part of the problem was anxiety nibbling on crap.
Part of my nutritional protocol is now intermittent fasting. I stop eating somewhere between 2 and 3:30 PM. That's it ! No more food for the day. Water, decaf tea and herb tea if I want it.
I get up somewhere around 5:30 AM to walk the dog. After I get home around 7:30 I have my first meal (breakfast raw veg salad with beans, raw onions, nuts and seeds). The beans do an amazing job of keeping me on an even keel. No more cravings. I hardly THINK about food now.
Also keeping myself busy with vegetable gardening. And squeezing in a workout in front of the TV. Have a library of workout videos. Our living room is a mini gym.
My husband and I have tightened up our nutritional protocols. Except for this one exception (our birthdays this month) we no longer eat out, and I'm cooking a hell of a lot more.
I've been waking around 3am and can't seem to get back to sleep (and I got to bed kinda late to begin with, so this sucks). For me, it's my daughter's anxiety about back to school. I can FEEL it physically, it's very overwhelming. I honestly don't understand how she's dealing with it at all.
Something that can help is removing your phone from your room before you sleep. I was skeptical at first but I sleep much more soundly when I put my phone in another room before going to bed.

I don't know if I'd call it insomnia, but I've been waking up before 5 am every day. I don't go out to work, so there's no need. I am walking around like a zombie. Lots of vivid dreams. Every night.
This is me. Yes to the dreams too to some extent. Used to dream a lot and sometimes so vivid you honestly asked yourself later if it was a dream or actually happened. I’ve been sleeping like the dead for many years but something has changed. Enough vivid dreams to make me question what’s what. I’m usually a night owl 1:00 2:00 is nothing but now I’m struggling to keep my eyes open from about 8pm. Usually I sleep in one position all night. Rarely moving before waking about 8:30a. Now I’m restless and waking before 6a.
I also put weight in when COVID hit. Now I’m losing weight beyond where I was.

Try melatonin if you haven’t. I went through a 15 year stretch of mild insomnia. Melatonin as really helped in the last couple of years.
I've tried melatonin but find it lingers in my system and I end up having a melatonin hangover the following day. I've recently started playing Solfeggio/Healing frequency music when I turn out the lights and let it play all night and 'listen' subconsciously. It seems to help me.
I have been looking at that actually. I do have a very small stash of Rivotril but I know that stuff is very addictive. I am looking at ordering some much-needed natural vitamins at the end of the week.
Melatonin is the best route to try first in my opinion. Start small with 2.5 mg. If that doesn’t help after a few nights, up it by 2.5 mg until you hit 10mg. The lower the better but some require more.
Comes and goes. The sunlight tip is inspiring. I take magnesium and a probiotic before bed. Banana. Meditate. But no screens is hard to do and that really works, zero screen time for at least an hour before bed and on rising. Really difficult to stay away from ga and f5. We are finally here. Man.
