It's funny. I am a drummer and have a decent singing voice. People have complimented my playing over the years and I have been encouraged to take it further. And my response has always been, nah...I can't deny that it is exciting to perform, but I always looked at it that if I did that, it would be a job and it would ruin it. But I did say that it would be nice to be in a one hit wonder band. Just get a taste and then move on with life...

I guess the people making this things will just have to forgive me for my interest in these things evaporating.

Video games never caught on in my house. I’m uncoordinated as hell! I grew up when Atari came out & we were so excited. I soon found out video games aren’t my skill set. We got the Nintendo or something in the 90s. That eventually wound up in a drawer. My daughter liked board games and reading. It’s not like we had the TV in the closet for special occasions. (I know people like that) to each their own! I play solitaire occasionally and that’s it. If kids today were forced to outside and play from there imaginations it would take them hours to come up with a plan. Buy a kid a bbgun, show them early how to make mud pies & let them help you plant something. I would not want to do it now, but we used to get excited when the potatoes were ready. My grandfather had us digging them with our hands.

Imagine loving to create music and they want to get you into that system in order to make the kind of music that carries their message. Imagine all the money they invest into you, that you have to payback both as cash and with influence. They don't give a fuck about anyone's art. If you tell them, naw man, I don't make political music, and getting told "well...you do now." Imagine being Lil Wayne and having to kiss Birdman on the lips and call him Daddy to be famous.

One of the best stories about (the band) Rush was their label's pressure to write an album that was more 'accessible' and their response was 'no', even though that could have ended their run right there. The irony was that 2112 was a huge success. But they took control of their own destiny - pros and cons. I don't know if anyone could do that today.

I love that story! There is a more recent version of that, circa 2001/2002 (?) ... I don’t remember the details all that well, but Wilco was dropped from their label for recording and delivering “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot”; their label refused to release it, convinced it was commercial suicide. The band was demoralized but eventually got their album released by some minor indie record label, and of course it became their biggest selling album by far.

If you follow a music artist that’s on a big label long enough you will notice after about five years their music changes. That’s for the successful ones that get the freedom after they have proven themselves. Some never get those freedoms! That doesn’t necessarily mean the artist is bad, they might have a bad deal or not get promoted.

it's why jennifer lawrence fucking disappeared when weinstein got shitcanned. she was letting him plow her butthole in exchange for movie roles. she's a terrible fucking actress, but she got his rocks off.

Several of these types like Podesta will spawn children, track their progress, and their fame is engineered. Many were abused, sodomized, and they know what type of music is going to come from that person, now reaching millions of ears with a message of disassociation. These "tracked children" are watched and assisted and known as that Person's "'Garden" or "Slave Garden" SOUND GARDEN AUDIO SLAVE Audio Gardens Sound Slaves Garden Slaves

Many times, a "garden project" refers to a specific main spot where that tracked child has wound up and is operating from now as an adult.....Linkin Park.

Chester and Chris Cornell were apparently working on a child trafficking documentary called the Silent Children when they died. The Twitter for the people who did the Hollywood pedo documentary An Open Secret put it out. Also AVICII was likely killed for his activism too, he was in Oman which is a trafficking hub and had put out a music vid literally about hunting down and killing elite pedo child traffickers. Bourdain likely a murder too.

The official story was that Robin Williams had Lewy Body Dementia, but decided to kill himself rather than suffer with it. Not saying I fully believe the official story, but even to a skeptical mind, the official story makes more sense instead of him killing himself because he couldn't do anything about the pedos.

I can't imagine that life. Think of being an actor with all the effects that can be used now. A singer can be resurrected against their will to perform as a hologram sharing a bill with bands they never likely would have wanted to play with. Kurt Cobain with the Eagles, just the way he would have wanted to be remembered. Your face and mannerisms could be placed on another actor in a movie that you would have wanted nothing to do with.

IDK, it’s just come out he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Years later it came out he had a form of dementia that mimics Parkinson’s. His son has set up a foundation to help people. (I don’t trust those, just saying) Honestly, I think they will tell anything and people will believe it. I’ve watched most of the documentary about him that was on HBO. I couldn’t take it all in. It’s funny and sad. It reminded me of videos of Elvis when he was off guard. A blank stare in his eyes. No sparks of joy. Those famous people that are in such high demand have a to have a switch they cut and off. I’m not saying I think Elvis was unhappy. IDK, I’ve watched many interviews of his closest people. Sounds like he was lonely. Also with Robin Williams he was about broke from paying alimony to x wives. Some things we will never know the truth!

You will find the same with actors.

The Show Stitchers is a good example, the lead is pretty much unknown, she carries the entire show(you don't expect someone that looks the way she does(former model) playing a character like that well and she knocks it out of the park...), went from being an up and cumming actress with some serious ability to only having minor bit roles after that series....................

Looks and possibly the casting couch may have played a part in her getting the lead role but I have a feeling she completely blind-sided them in regard to a pretty blonde model not letting herself get pushed into taking the deal and having brains and backbone...

There are many other examples like this but this series was the largest and most glaringly obvious example I could think of..

I know Christian’s that rarely miss church and believe the vax is the only way! They also listen to mainstream media. Some are liberals & some just trust the medical community. I stopped going to church a long time ago. To many people judging others, etc. They have clicks just like any other place. They would raise $$$$ for a sick person, in accident etc if that person is in the click. If they aren’t you are lucky to get a card! I’ve seen it to much in churches. They cook meals for certain people going through life’s problems & others aren’t considered worthy. I didn’t belong in clicks in high school. Every job I’ve had I treated everyone the same. I won’t start now! You don’t have to go to church to believe.

I called out a pastor today on the matter of the widow who gave two mites. He was using it as an example of positive giving, how we should give. That takes it out of context and ignores the criticism of the hypocrisy of the Pharisees who devour widow's houses (verses right before the widow with two mites) and the verses immediately after where Christ says He will destroy their temple.

Here is a method that has worked for me- in a nutshell, let the Bible tell you what it means by what it says throughout the whole of scripture. Don't try to understand any verse apart from the whole of scripture and the revealed nature of God.
For example: Throughout the whole of scripture, God reveals Himself as: Good, Kind, Compassionate, & Generous.
Taking the story of Jesus speaking to the rich young ruler saying, "Go sell all you have and give to the poor", consider God's heart of kindness in why he challenges the young man to make such an extreme sacrifice. Did Jesus say poverty would make the man righteous? No. Jesus was asking the young man to live more in keeping with the godly compassion. That conversation is included in scripture to illustrate that Jesus spoke using divine insight to question the hearts of the self-congratulating, self-righteous religious elite in Israel, who professed to be holy and upright by keeping he absolute letter of the law, but, all too often, missed the heart of God in lawfully accumulating wealth and having no compassion for the poor.
The lesson is not for all Christians to establish the doctrine of religious asceticism to dispossess ourselves of all material goods and take vows of poverty or be at enmity with God. Rather, we are to live lives of humility before God and compassion toward others who are in desperate circumstances.
In those days, if a tragedy befell a family, say, perhaps, the working age men were injured or died, the entire family fell into abject poverty very rapidly. So the poor would truly need some compassionate relief to not starve to death or resort to some moral compromise to survive. In that challenge, Jesus told this young man who knew the scriptures well- probably having memorized much of the Torah- you know the letter of the law, but have completely missed my Spirit in keeping it. I hope you find this helpful. Please, let me know if I can be of further help in your study of the scriptures.

My pastor backs everything he says with scripture. His sermons are peppered with chapters and verses.

All the same I agree with you, and I'm doing my own research on questions I have. Some examples: "Why does God let bad things happen?" "Will there really billions of souls who will suffer eternally?" "After Jesus' baptism, why does one gospel say he went out into the wilderness and another say he travelled with his disciples?"

And one other thing...regarding "The Lord works in mysterious ways"... that's not wrong but it's also not to be used as a crutch to fend off any criticism.

I also don't limit myself to hearing my pastor...Billy Graham had some pretty good sermons and I like how he preaches so plainly.

I've gone to two different churches and had the exact same experience in both. The leadership of both decided they needed to add on to the church, even when the congregation itself was hesitant. The leadership said they were just going to "look into the possibility," which got people on-board. Most people are willing to study an idea. However, "look into the possibility" morphed into code for "once we get this started, we're not going to stop."

Both churches then committed to the additions. Both churches ended up with in-fighting when the congregations weren't fully committed to both the need and the cost. Both churches ended up crashing and burning.

It's easy to generate grandiose plans when you're spending other people's money. It's not so easy to realize these plans. Two good churches were ruined by the hubris of their leaders.

To be honest, it soured my opinion of organized religion. Church was far superior when people met in each other's homes to worship as equals. This is how it was in the early days of the Christian Church and the way it should have stayed.

Early Rome ruined everything by erecting a "wall" and dividing the church into priests and laity. The priests put on a show and the congregation became just a passive audience that merely witnesses the show, but doesn't really participate in it, except when it's time to pass the offering plate. It continues in this fashion to this very day with just about every Christian Church, regardless of denomination.

We are all diminished when we are no longer equal participants in the worship of God, IMHO.

Don't give up your search, the true church is out there waiting for you to find it.

"And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost."

This advice will not only help you to find the truth, but will help you to recognize those who are false. I pray that God will help you to find what you are looking for.

I supported leadership in my local church and denomination for 37years thinking they were led by the Holy Spirit. They did not stand against false prophets and protect the sheep, couldn’t recognize the wolves in sheep’s clothing but treated me as the enemy. I met 3 times with pastor, showed him research on these false prophets, Scriptures, and his conclusion was I was a heresy hunter. My eyes were finally opened. I submitted to men I thought were led by the Lord, but found out I was following men led by their own ambitions.

I repented and continue to do so. I did not test everything as Scripture admonished me to, I Thess. 5:21. My litmus test is now Scripture alone, by faith alone, through grace alone, in Christ alone, for the glory of God alone.

Christians have to find out the glue that holds them together. They think it is Christ alone, but if they can no longer worship together, or fellowship or have their ministry will their life fall apart? Better to find that out on this side of heaven even if it turns your world upside down for a while, Christ and His Word will right the ship.

It was a combination of learning history, culture and symbolism.

John Henry Cardinal Newman once said, "To be deep in history is to cease to be Protestant."

Just had this similar convo with my husband yesterday. Ed Sheeren can’t sing and is not attractive but yet he suddenly is a super star? Taylor swift, ummm, no. Billie Eilish, ughhh. The new remake with Elton John and Dua Lipa is the most horrendous thing on the radio. Why do you think hollyweird can only do bad remakes and comic book stories? Can’t wait until real talent is able to rise to the top again. Make Entertainment Great Again, please!!

The idea of entertainment is the problem. It is meant to distract. Maybe people should struggle to understand and pay attention to their reality, to their souls, to God.

As a musician, I think my talent is God given. It is my responsibility to share that talent to bring joy to others and bring glory to God. What we have today is a bastardization of the art form……many art forms in fact.

Game theory.

Google: Prisoner's dilemma.

They may accept the deal and lie to each other, hoping that their counterpart won't accept the deal.

See the outcome of the game if both accept.

They're weak, lazy, freaking rats. We know the outcome. It's a question of time.

I saw this a day or two ago on /r/conspiracy (which is strange, since I'm rarely ever there and to find anything non cv19 related these days is a miracle) and my jaw kind of dropped.

I was just coming up when Hammer came out (the first two tapes I bought were Please Hammer Don't Hurt Em and Fear of a Black Planet O_o). His meteoric rise and fall always stuck with me. I hadn't thought about him at all in past 20 years in which Ive learned about the Satanic Soul Crush that is a Major Label Entertainment Deal.

Getting to the point...

In light of this tweet it is CRYSTAL CLEAR that he realized what he'd gotten himself into right after they forced him into the Satanic Embarrassment that was Pumps and a Bump (the Media fallout over this at the time was enormous - prototypical of how They openly operate these days). God Bless him for walking the narrow path.

figured "it" out. I understood hammer's tweet but if he's in an echo chamber so friggin what ? this twat exchange means much more if drummer is some famous satan worshipping "artist". seems like he's a nobody which makes this a rather useless post imho. and every post doesn't need to involve homework. OP I think should save everyone time and give full context

permalink parent save report block reply

If you don’t you didn’t figure it out. This has nothing to do with drummer and everything to do with Hammer.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– SocratesKnowsNothing 1 point 3 years ago +1 / -0

i'm interested in things that move the needle.

hammer is "based" apparently by his past behaviors and this tweet which means his tweets aren't reaching the people that need red pilling. these posts are fun but they shouldn't have to require research for me to consider it for my arsenal next time I'm talking to a normie that's in to rap, for example. if the goal was to get all us frens excited that he twatted this I just don't see the value except for a little uplifting

OP is regular I know and sound, I just think this goes in the same box as memes which are great and all, but they also typically don't require research to see what audience is on the other end of a tweet

This is interesting to me because it’s an extremely famous celebrity who is confirming that there is a “deal” that is offered, and warning that anyone who wants to be famous will be offered the deal in order to get what they want. No doubt hammer was at very tip top of the fame game in his prime, this would be like Jayz saying this. I like the confirmation

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– SocratesKnowsNothing 1 point 3 years ago +1 / -0

I hear that when you say it that way for those seeing this as a confirmation. I'm just past needing that confirmation I guess and felt it was common knowledge in these circles that famous and rich folks like Bezos, Zuckerberg, Jay Z all are well aware that they best do as their told or they will be ruined by the real powers of the world.

this is a great verse from an Aaron Lewis song that equates to what Hammer is saying albeit Aaron is a less famous musician around the world I imagine (and there's a reason for that !)...from his song Country Boy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsQzw_Ax8Cw):

Now, its been twelve years since I sold my soul to the devil in L.A. He said sign your name here on the dotted line and your songs, they all will play He set up shop on Sunset, he put me up at the Marquee He said "you want to sell a million records boy, you better listen to me" He said "change your style, whiten your smile, you can lose a couple of pounds If you want to live this life, you better lose that wife, do you need your friends around?"

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– moodyblue 1 point 3 years ago +1 / -0

That’s a damn good song! There’s many country music songs similar to this topic. They are geared more to the Nashville selling out to pop artist. Record companies selling out, etc. Summary, outlaw country isn’t popular to the people making deals because those artists don’t bend over to their rules.

Article listing songs as far back as Waylon Jennings.

I guess you are suggesting that I should avoid the news and research in favor of sticking my head in the sand and spending all my free time with my children, is that it? or maybe you are suggesting that this post was so worthless that I should have known better than to have spent time specifically on it (in which case you agree with my frustration)

I'd love to hear what a loser is in your most important opinion
