I was surprised to find that not to be the case. They retired a particular PCR test because identified covid and not both covid and the flu. There are still other PCR tests, including the replacement which tests for both at once.
Not that I believe that PCR tests are accurate, but someone took the CDC announcement and changed it up.
PCR tests were never supposed to be used for viral diagnosis. The inventor, Kerry Mullis, said so. PCR is a lab tool used to multiply whatever material the scientist is studying. It is NOT a diagnostic tool.

It's hard to tell anymore. I do think it is a modified coronavirus that was designed in a lab with US funding.
I do think it's real, just not the end of days. I've never known of so many people to die from the flu in my circles and I know of several who died, not even old or unfit.
Were you ever given a chance the years before to compare this situation to? Massive daily fear infusion, massive testing lol. Was every person that entered a hospital or ICU given a flu test the years before? Nothing that happens now compares to how we dealt with the flu previously. Actions have consequences. Sure, but in the earlier days, many people who shouldn't have died, died. And I have family and friends in Spain as well as America, Spain went through a financial crisis that took far longer to recover from than our 2008 housing crisis, and I have never known a period where so many healthy people died within such a short time.

We don’t know this for sure. The variant we got in the US in late 2019 and early 2020 was mild, but even that could have been a white hat “vaccine strain.”
The Chinese were claiming a 20% mortality overall, including young and healthy. That could be the real original mortality, but we’d probably release the “vaccine strain” in China as well. The original strain could have had a 100% lethality, but if it only spread 20% as well the “vaccine strain” the resulting death rate would be something like China claimed.
But as you’re saying. Even if the “first” strain was a vaccine, that means the best way out is straight through.
