The researchers found that in the past 35 years, an area of the planet twice the size of the continental United States became greener with vegetation. The main cause is CO2 ...

From NASA

And also from NASA:

Carbon Dioxide Fertilization Greening Earth, Study Finds

If they're trying to scare you with it, its likely bullshit. Served me well for over 20 years. The media is the enemy of the people.

14
MAG768720 14 points ago +14 / -0

Yep. CO2 is a good thing, not a bad thing.

To the extent humans are causing it (yes, but a very, very small percentage), we are helping to save the Earth.

Hot damn. I want that on a t-shirt.

Why is isn't every soda outlawed. The fizz... its killing the planet.

17
An_Extinct_DQDQ_Bird 17 points ago +17 / -0

Remember anything bigger than 32 ounces is banned in some cities.

7
sgtnoodle 7 points ago +7 / -0

In my city, anything smaller than 1L is banned...

6
An_Extinct_DQDQ_Bird 6 points ago +6 / -0

But you can buy 2 1 liter bottles right, rather than 1 2 liter bottle? lol.

9
Darwyn 9 points ago +9 / -0

Doesn't that use more plastic? A 2 liter is far more efficient use of plastic than two 1 liter.

Can't fix stupid.

8
BWolf79 8 points ago +8 / -0

And your paper straws wrapped in plastic.

4
Darwyn 4 points ago +4 / -0
6
An_Extinct_DQDQ_Bird 6 points ago +6 / -0

Well yes it likely does, but it's for your saschefty!

3
deeluna 3 points ago +3 / -0

As someone that has been in a soda bottling plant. I can tell you that the same size plastic slug is used for all bottle sizes. It's why a 20 oz feels sturdier/thicker than a 2L.

1
Darwyn 1 point ago +1 / -0

And they wonder why the environment is turning to shit. SMH...

3
sgtnoodle 3 points ago +3 / -0

You misunderstood me. The city banned plastic containers smaller than 1L in public areas. It's some virtue signaling from the city council.

2
An_Extinct_DQDQ_Bird 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh. So what does Mcdonalds give you, Styrofoam or paper cups? What happens if you walk around with a plastic cup in public, can you get cited?

1
sgtnoodle 1 point ago +1 / -0

Paper cups. A reusable plastic cup would be fine. They banned one time use plastic drink containers smaller than a liter. Probably nothing would happen, because it's a joke and the cops have better things to do.

1
An_Extinct_DQDQ_Bird 1 point ago +1 / -0

So no more lids right, so you can spill hot coffee on yourself and sue McDonalds for $10 million due to inflation because the coffee was hot and not cold.

6
Nitrojunkie72 6 points ago +6 / -0

Don't give them anymore ideas

4
suave200 4 points ago +4 / -0

they did ban the spray deodorant with the ozone in it. And the air conditioners also. Someone made money on the deal.

I use co2 generator in my fish tank (homemade yeast/sugar generator aka yeast farts)

8
TitoshandmadePatriot 8 points ago +8 / -0

used co2 tanks with my planted tanks the results are just amazing. not to mention you need it to grow certain plants.

7
Nitrojunkie72 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yeast farts🤣 This is a thing according to all the farting cookbooks. (Yes they are put there)

6
Gotrek 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yeast farts are best farts because they also carbonate my beer!

I do love the stuff, but my true love was 100 proof peppermint schnapps. Had to give it all up 10 years ago. That shit in the quantities I was drinking will turn your brain and your liver to yeast.

That's easy. Plants are bad for the environment. Obviously.

10
Camden105b 10 points ago +10 / -0

Way back when all this “Global Warming” / “CO2 is bad” stuff started (1990’s) they called it “Greenhouse gasses”. There was a documentary done by scientists called “The Greening of Planet Earth” done in 1992 that totally red-pilled me at the time. https://youtu.be/ep5ptrPN6ns

At this point, you can see that science was questioning the Global Warming assumptions, but people were getting fired for doing so.

7
Demoman 7 points ago +7 / -0

Interesting that this film was posted to youtube in 2013 and has only 12K views yet it has a misinformation disclaimer from the united nations and comments are turned off.

2
lustmorden 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wow! I just watched this. More CO2 = not only better crop yields, but more efficient use of water by plants. These fucking demons are terrifying people about not there not being enough food and not enough water when they're actually trying to bring about those problems by demonizing CO2. Fuck.

yeldarb1983 5 points ago +5 / -0

CO2 "generator"

bullshit, that's a propane space heater...

4
jhartz39 4 points ago +4 / -0

Do space heaters create co2? My guess is they do. Set the thermostat to come on a couple degree below outside temperature a few times per day. People who grow marijuana use co2 emitting devices to keep co2 levels at 1000 part per million. The plants will absorb all the co2 in a sealed room rather quickly, if you don't replace it you will not get adequate bud weight at harvest time and the THC production will be hindered.

https://www.naturalnews.com/040890_greenhouses_carbon_dioxide_generators_plant_growth.html

1
yeldarb1983 1 point ago +1 / -0

Do space heaters create co2?

Electric ones probably not. diesel/kerosene ones certainly do (and a touch of something that burns the eyes like fire...) natural gas/propane ones certainly do, and I worked at walmart long enough to recognize a gas regulator when I see one.

2
Recyclops 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's a Priva Da CO2 generator that uses a propane hookup for combustion. Some use a natural gas hookup. It used to be sold by Priva Horticulture, a Netherlands company, in Canada.

https://www.proxibid.com/Industrial-Machinery-Equipment/Business-Liquidations/1995-PRIVA-DA-PROPANE-CO2-GENERATOR-333-000-BTU-OUTPUT-USED-FOR-ONLY-ONE-YEAR/lotinformation/56116270

1
yeldarb1983 1 point ago +2 / -1

So basically an expensive space heater with a fancy name, lmao.

"A rose by any other name smells as sweet" and all that

2
Recyclops 2 points ago +2 / -0

True enough. 😺 As Hank Hill might say, "Is there anything propane can't do?"

2
yeldarb1983 2 points ago +2 / -0

...matte a burger with the delicious flake of wood smoke?

Nothing against propane btw. I just grew up with charcoal, then moved into a house with an oak tree that drops limbs all the time, so I have all the wood I need for barbecuing.

...and fuck does it make the food taste better, even if you do nothing else to it, that Smokey charredness just takes the flavor to the next level (even hotdogs)

2
Recyclops 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've eaten both and don't discriminate. Charcoal does taste better to me. 🍖

2
yeldarb1983 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hardwood is even better when you can get it.

Be warned, your neighbors may call the fire dept when they see the cloud of smoke😂😎

To this day, I worry one of them is gonna think the house is on fire...😆

2
HenryBowman1984 2 points ago +2 / -0

We run calls on smokers more than you’d think. Dumb neighbors.

5
PunaAnon 5 points ago +5 / -0

I exhale CO2.

5
PatriotEazy 5 points ago +5 / -0

The issue with the climate is that nobody understands what's happening. The people that FEEL super hard about everything won't shut up about saving the earth but they have no understanding of how the earth is being damaged.

Everyone else just feels smart and secure in their believe that the FEEL people are wrong so they don't understand the problems either.

I dont think mammals like breathing CO2 very much. Plants dig it though... Or sequester it, rather.

4
jhartz39 4 points ago +4 / -0

Trees are the lungs of the Earth. They grow faster during times with high CO2 and slow growth when CO2 levels are low. Growing faster they lock away CO2 in wood growth. CO2 levels cannot rise for extended periods. If you look at a CO2 level chart you see a up/down jigsaw pattern that stays constant.

Just like you breath faster when you are running and slower when resting. Trees keep a CO2 equilibrium on the planet that cannot be changed. Scientists that tell you different are being paid by globalist overlords who want to tax you for your carbon footprint. They have taxed everything else, now they want to tax you for being alive.

3
SuckaFree 3 points ago +3 / -0

CO2 is only bad if humans and cows produce it. Don't you know that by now, silly capitalist?

3
Datadude 3 points ago +3 / -0

Except their objective is,

Global Starvation,

NOT

Social Salvation...

3
gb1787 3 points ago +3 / -0

These devices use CO2 that has been reclaimed from gas streams used in various industrial processes, so there is no net addition to the atmosphere. One would think that the eco-freaks would applaud this.

3

They could save a bunch of money just using composed manure...

But we've forgotten how to farm...

2
FullDisQlosure 2 points ago +2 / -0

CO2 generators. Also known as propane heaters.

2
XlntOldBowler 2 points ago +2 / -0

The effect of CO2 depletion due to so much being stored/locked away has made all vegetative life on earth less productive. The fact is we are doing the earth a service by unlocking as much of it as we can at this point in the earth's life. So drill baby drill. Make gas .25 a gallon again so we can drive really burn the petroleum cost effectively

2
suave200 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think CO2 is becoming a past thing, they are on to nitrogen now. Or is it both?

Aquarium hobbyists do this too.

Don’t plants also capture carbon in their leaves and stems, and clean the air of carbon?

2

Because the cLimAtE cHaNgE myth is about wealth redistribution on a global scale. Siphoning and plundering form the people to a an unselect few.

2
DiveAndBait 2 points ago +2 / -0

When they say "reduce carbon", they mean us. When they say, "reduce co2", they mean us. "Sustainable", means to reduce us etc ...

If you look at it in that lens then it is very clear.

2
Magasperger 2 points ago +2 / -0

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants use energy from the sun to make food. They use carbon dioxide from the air and water from the soil to make sugar and oxygen. Most plants release oxygen only during the day, when the sun can power photosynthesis. The exceptions to this general rule are the plants (mostly cacti, bromeliads, and certain succulents) that rely on an alternative photosynthetic pathway called crassulacean acid metabolism, or CAM, which allows them to keep their leaf stomata closed during the day to reduce water loss. These plants do release some oxygen at night when the stomata open and the oxygen can escape.

Carbon dioxide is not released during photosynthesis, but small amounts of that gas are emitted both day and night as a by-product of cellular respiration. It is worth noting that the majority of plants absorb carbon dioxide during the day for photosynthesis and do so in greater amounts than they release for cellular respiration.

CO2 is Carbon Dioxide, CO is Carbon Monoxide. YOU obviously do not know the difference. CO2 is used in grow operations, and is what the hype about global warming is all about. You are the mixed up one. Great meme.

7
PepeSee 7 points ago +7 / -0

LOL maybe they got too much CO

7
Surfsup 7 points ago +7 / -0

CO is oxidized by the sun into CO2 quite readily. The amount of sunlight and metals exposed to the air (oxides in top ground layers and metals we produce that "rust") far outweighs any human threat of CO production. Therefore, global warming is still stupid. Very stupid.

No, they didn't. I have co2 supplementation in my grow room too. They breathe c02 and use the carbon to produce plant matter. Nobody puts carbon monoxide in their greenhouse.

SpoonySmalls 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nowadays, sed can easily be purchased online thanks to President Trump and the 2018 Farm Bill. Since seed has 0% delta9 thc, it's considered hemp and is legal!! After that, use clones/cuttings. Too much variance in seed.

1
Recyclops 1 point ago +1 / -0

People used to buy from companies in Amsterdam, where it was legal. Sometimes US customs would confiscate the package, but since it was just seeds, no one got arrested that I know of. When Canada went legal, people started buying from there. And now with multiple US states decriminalizing, some people buy and have shipped from there. I think most people, back in the day, would have a friend that had both a male and female plant that would produce a bunch of seeds they'd give away.

2
SpoonySmalls 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is the way, fren! I see you picked what iwas putting down!
