Wouldn't that be a sailboat?
how dare you
Yeah in my day we called those sails.
I just patented the oar. I'm gonna be rich!
Not if my friend in the patent office 'loses' yours and approves mine! Bwahahaha.
😶
Hahaha.
Then it's not wind power then. It's called muscle power. Not approve.
Progress!
Racism!
You've stolen our dreams!
"how very dare you, blah blah blah" spoken with a little scrunched up face and slight accent.
Catherine Tate! One of the best comedians around if you like British comedy.
She was very funny.
They better hurry and patent that technology before somebody else does.
Years ago when I was young, I invented the wheel...long before I learned it had already been invented. Ya think I get any credit?
You can imagine how pissed I am that I didn't patent fire when I invented it.
Literally lol'd. Big Wheat and concept. Haha.
Just think if you had gotten that sliced bread patent everything else would have been the greatest thing since. You would have been the benchmark that all great inventions are compared to going forward.
Wait, books the presses! I've got this solar- and wind-powered clothes dryer!
To go with it, I've got a manual clothes washer, no solar or wind needed, and a special wringer to match. Just add water and soap!
Did you know that Al Gore invented the internet?
Give it a go. They patented coronavirus...and got nasty richer
You bigot
Beat me to it. Kek.
Not at all, it would be a breeze boat.
Maybe they remember it as a schooner.🤣
You said it, not me.
I know a schooner's a sailboat, it's a joke. Tough crowd, I guess. :)
Who woulda thunk it? What?!! Wind? I guess they need something to capture the wind though - something like a big flat sheet, that they can hoist or unfurl when needed. Hmm. I'm good at inventing things too. Let me think on this a bit...
Not mind blowing, it's wind blowing!
So a Serious question tho' Will china have to make the sheets??? Inquiring minds want to know?
The pillow merchant will make the giza dream sheets!
MySail.com
Kek
it will be non recyclable fiber glass or carbon fiber coming to a landfill near you!
This is exactly what this hunk of junk abomination will be made out of. Just like their wind turbines.
Maybe they can use the expired wind turbine blades
We'll have muslim slave labor from China. They make great sheets.
Those would be the muslin Muslims.
Can take them straight off their heads too'
Damn this post should be listed under the comedy section. There's some great humor here.😏👏
I know, I love the humor of the frens. And it's nice to know that some people still know how to have a laugh.
With the heads still in them.
Nope—Mike Lindell
Hold on to your hats. Next up is something called the wheel.
..after that, they’ll rediscover oil and gas.
But first, steam power.
Oh I thought fire was next. I'll check my program.
Lol. How do you spell that?
I want to believe the replies in the screenshot are sarcasm, but I just can't tell anymore...
This is only temporary! They're currently working on a boat that will have one or more "engines" powered by some sort of "flammable liquid" that will ultimately spin turbines to "propel" the boat in any way it wants using "rudders". Stay tuned!
This must be a Babylon Bee article. If not, it should have been!
So a sheet that blows up like a baloon and then maybe we can fly with them and not worry about having water araound.....What a Concept!!!
How the living hell are they going to park it under a crane????
It will sink long before reaching the crane no worries.
Next, they’ll discover sea shanties.
And sea shells!
This same cutting edge technology was used by Christopher Columbus to discover America. That should really screw with their brain.
lmfao.
We are so much smarter than those ancient mariners we descended from.
🙄
Idea of a massive sailing cargo ship may have been viable in the early-mid 1800s when steamships and other associated motor-powered vessels were still in a relative infancy.
Now it’s not a particularly efficient or economical method of shipping large amounts of goods long distance over deep water.
There’s a reason why the days of the Schooners and other sail powered Ocean going vessels passed into history.
Also 5 bucks says there’s Diesel Generators or a similar setup on board to power electronics
I am flabbergasted. Such incredible bright ideas ....
As a skipper myself, I would have never thought. ....

interesting to take a looksee. ...
My mom worked in a warehouse for a very short while when the ports being backed up was just breaking into the news. She did practically nothing all day because there weren't any packages coming through.
Union job, almost 20 bucks an hour. Could not believe it when she quit, but she absolutely couldn't take the lack of work.
Oh boy, if they put soler powered fans on the stern you will really get to watch the magic happen!
The magic, lol.
Not even a real picture IMO.
This is intriguing but I highly doubt sails big enough for a modern cargo ship are going to make a comeback. Not to mention sails take up massive portions of the deck itself.
Hey I've got another idea, how about making little round holes in the side of the ship, put big pieces of wood through them, and getting the poor third class ticket holders to row the ship across the Atlantic!
Now that's progress!
Since it’s built by green idiots it will likely just turn over and sink.
This is hilarious!
To be fair...... those are not sales, those are wings, and the ship can travel faster than the wind is blowing. I saw the Prototype of it on a racing sailboat using a carbon fiber wing. It's a newish technology and who'd have thunk it? Airplane technology for sailing on the ocean.
Americas Cup race boats have been using rigid sales for years. Scary fast.
I'll bet it's as efficient as the electric cars.............
Wind powered government buildings next.
No wind? No work!
Next up Steam fired by Coal
🤦♂️
If it gets caught in a hurricane, it flips over and sinks.
the pilgrims coming over to the new world were high tech travelers!
I've just constructed a device which will, if everything goes as planned, keep that boat in one fixed position for as long as desired. I'm no engineer, but I have a working prototype and I'm looking for an investor.....
The first one shall be named "The Hurricane 1"
C'mon guys, go easy on the first commenter. He had to drop out of whatever the hell 'guabiru' is.
yup time to start drinking today.
Time of Magellan, Drake, Columbus and so many others coming back! Going back to go forward.
People are this stupid...
You mean, like one of them, there, sailing boats? You must be one of them folks who use wind and solar technology to dry your wet laundry.
