I found this just out of curiosity from reading the article you posted. I don’t support wsj and think they’re a bunch of phony con artists and this quote from this article expresses that and also shows how this global take over is occurring through fascism and cronyism that comes from a free market that devolves into monopolies that gain control which then become fascist. It seems to be their m.o no matter what sector of the private market it is.

It would seem that you found an extremely thirsty sector of this equation which is the emergence of more and more of these massive data centers and their need to consume more water than any other part of society. This seems to be an issue that is somewhat hidden from the public square of extremely important issues to debate and hash out because of how vital it is for the future and we’ll being of the earths populations. I have excellent ground water around my block, got a 30 foot bore hole that’ll do 750 gal an hour. This is a traditional blue pill bore that is water table dependant. If I were to irrigate 100 acres of fruit trees with this I’d feel the wrath of my countries powers that be. Ridiculous. I estimate with some irrigated pasture and fodder I could go from 20 steers to 40 in 10 years. Now imagine endless supply 1200 feet down, begs the question why we don’t utilise this 🧐
Don't get too excited. To get the water out you need pumps and fuel to power the pumps. To move the water you need pipes or canals. These are not cheap to build and maintain.
That said, there is evidence that you can change rainfall patterns with agriculture. Crops create rain.
