I really get sick of the MSM people constantly referring to "right-wing extremists" or "extreme right wing". JFK Democrats were more in line with modern conservative Republicans, other than the strong union support of Democrats at the time. The Democrat party has moved FAR left since that time, while the Republican party has moved slightly left (although pretty far left in terms of Federal control of everything).

Fascism is pretty centrist, really. It's not exactly fair to consider the worst abuses by wartime fascist nations to be "what fascism is," especially considering that our constitutional republic did many of the same things during the same wars.
Yes, I do. I follow Christ, which some would interpret as a leftist, as opposed to a strict adherence to Old Testament laws and hierarchy. I believe in the forgiveness of sins to the repentant, and judgement reserved for God But I also believe that total social acceptance of everyone and everything, immorality, blasphemy, anarchy, is wrong. I do think we should house and feed the hungry and poor, that we bring the Gospel to all sides of the spectrum because I do not know who is worthy of salvation and who is not. I think Christians should be modest in appearance and action, I think that abortion is wrong, I think sexual predators should be punished severely, that incest should not be tolerated, and that some behaviors should be enough to shun the person from the Body of Christ, but along with promiscuity and immorality, greed and avarice is equally sinful. I think politics should never be a replacement for social rules. And I also think that as long as a person has life left in them, they should be treated as a Creation of God and worthy of salvation through Christ. Where there is a separation of Church and State, this should apply to the areas where the State has control, I think if we are to be taxed, Christians pay the same as non Christians. If the taxes are to be spent for the public good, the public gets to decide where it goes, and that should be locally controlled. And I really wish all nations stop studying war, and beat their swords into plow shares. The Left and the Right change depending on the times. Now we have people sworn to the Right, who are anti war and anti huge corporative medical and pharmacuetical practices, who embrace healthy food and water, where 2 decades ago it was more something you would see on the Left.Taking care of the Earth is our responsibility, we were given stewardship over this earth, so when I see a right wing person bragging that they have the right to pour chemicals and solvents and poison their crops with Round Up, someone who takes stewardship seriously, should stop them. That is the freedom spectrum which does not line up with the political ideology spectrum the way it is taught / pushed / commonly thought of.

The "freedom spectrum" is also not exactly accurate to the original meaning, but is far far closer. The original left and right "wings" were those of pre-revolutionary French parliament. They were still a monarchy at this time, and the right wing wished to preserve the "natural order" of aristocracy, and the left wing wanted to tear down the whole society in the name of "progress." The left were adherents of "progressivism," another oft misunderstood word. The right felt that hierarchy was a naturally emergent phenomenon, from which the aristocracy emerges, and that the inequity it resulted in was an acceptable price for the overall functioning of the society. The left saw inequity as proof that the system was evil, and argued that hierarchy must be abolished to attain equality. The left won that conflict by murdering their opponents, and today Europe is a cesspool of socialist nonsense where the "aristocrats" are far fewer in number and FAR wealthier compared to the common man than even back then, lol. The real "right" is a belief in the natural order, that some people will win, and some will lose, and any attempt to forcibly equalize this will result in disaster. The real "left" is a belief that inequity is evidence of evil, and all force used to correct it is just. Oversimplified, the right believes in freedom at the cost of inequity, and the left believes in equity at the cost of serfdom. So, the freedom spectrum isn't that far off.

I think in reality, the spectrum is much simpler. The MSM of course loves to create polar opposites where now everything is either "normal/good" or "extreme right wing". No shortage of people that would traditionally call themselves democrats have gotten swept up into the "extreme right wing" group for not approving of voter fraud, pedophilia, library drag shows, or having the temerity to notice that the president has mashed potato brains.
So the way I look at it now is that it's simply this:
