It has nothing to do with safety and security. It is a humiliation ritual way too many Americans willingly put themselves through. Figured this out when the Muslim community refused to allow themselves and their women to be put through the same humiliation ritual.
Anything less than 12 hours away, I drive. In the 12-15 zone is a little gray, but over 15 it's definitely too long, at least for me, to make in one day, so then I have to weigh the cost of flying vs driving and one night in a hotel (but if you have to rent a car, that far outweighs the cost of driving)
Like making it from northeast Pa from 8:15 am to Jacksonville Florida welcome center at 10:21 pm same day? I should have waited to call parents til next day. Since my brother just died in a car crash they were a wee bit upset. Live n learn!
That makes me furious. I also have both knees replaced as well as a spinal fusion. Did this air port not have the machines you step into? And when they are not any machines they can wand you to suffice, which I am often. That behavior needs to be reported.
Yup. Y'all are probably on a list. I will never fly again. I love driving anyway. Yes, I understand that this is not an option for many. Just my two cents. Sorry to hear that. As a husband/father there is little worse than feeling helpless when your people need help.
It takes a lot of strength to not get yourself in a whole lot of trouble in a situation like that. Losing it would be no good for either of you. It's hard to know where to draw the line. I have my boundriess (they aren't at the aiport for sure), I know they are best for my son, but unfair to my wife. I don't think my lines will ever be crossed, but God I hope not. I don't ever want to have to make that decision. I'm sure your presence was her greatest comfort.
The damn Patriot Act. I knew when it happened that it would be a turning point against the righteous.
I think you should find an attorney who would represent you and your wife in a lawsuit. Even if you didn't win, it would hopefully highlight how ridiculous things like that are, and better yet, a class action lawsuit because there are probably hundreds, if not thousands, of people who have been treated the same way.
I had a long career in aerospace/aviation and used to travel globally. I haven’t stepped foot in an airport for 15 years and will never fly again. The clowns they hire nowadays can barely read. F*ck THAT.
They just rehired multiple former retirees because they're desperate for people who understand machining. Too many dollars wasted because of incompetent operators
Yep, I just got offered an incredible amount of $ to go back to one of my previous employers. Unfortunately I’m truly disabled now and on Disability…I had to fight to get it so ditching it is a hard decision. Still sharp as a tack tho & willing. I actually miss my old work. Then if I did I’d have to navigate the DEI idiocy and deal with tons of morons. sigh
I know it's not quite as bad as what your wife went through, but when I was 16 coming back from a group trip to France (my first time overseas and out of the country) TSA stopped ME specifically (none of the other teens) and said I had triggered their metal detectors. It was the hair clips in my hair that triggered it, but they patted me down anyway. And when I say "patted down" what I really mean is a grown adult man rubbed his hands VERY thoroughly all over my body in front of my whole group. After he had felt me up well enough to his liking he sent me on my way and I felt so embarrassed and awkward. All over some HAIR CLIPS that I showed to them. Nope, they didn't care. Whatever excuse they can get to feel up teen girls. And this was after I had already been felt up by some weird old man while I was in France. Needless to say I was so done with nonsense like that.
This stuff pisses me off. Demand a same-sex person, and demand a police officer if the opposite sex gropes you. If they refuse starting yelling rape or he is sexually assaulting me. That is 100% not allowed.
I'm a male and wasn't assaulted, but I had one of the TSA goons try to steal my computer screwdriver kit in Kansas City. He tried to tell me it wasn't allowed, and I produced a paper I printed beforehand that specifically said (from their website) kits like mine were allowed. When he wouldn't give it back I yelled at the cop outside the secured area that the TSA officer (they are NOT agents) was stealing my stuff and he came over. I showed him the paper and showed him the site on my phone and he gave me my kit.
I am TSA-precheck, Global Entry, and at the time I was American Airlines Executive Platinum. I am also a million-miler. I know how to travel and what they can and can't do. I also stopped flying in 2020 and will not fly again until TSA is abolished. I didn't put up with their crap from the beginning. I never went into one of the nudie scanners and made them pat me down if I wasn't able to use the metal detectors. While I was being patted down I would point out the Nuclear Regulatory Commission seal on my polo shirt and tell the officer that he should stay away from those scanners when possible to avoid the inevitable cancer in a few years. Anything I could do to make them the uncomfortable one I would do. It gets exhausting, but it was necessary.
TSA is such a joke and honestly protects very little. They pull aside white males more often than other groups whom you would more normally associate with trouble on planes (if you get my meaning). Probably because TSA is now trained to believe that "white supremacy" is the most dangerous thing on flights.
I had a male TSA agent grope my boobs because my underwire bra set off the metal detector. He did this even after the handheld wand clearly beeped right under my boobs. He even asked "are you wearing an underwire?" Then proceeded to "make sure that's what it was." And he did it in front of everyone else in line. I was in college at the time, it was not too long after 9/11. It was humiliating. Needless to say I never wore an underwire bra to the airport again. Funny that my bra had never set off the metal detector before, and I had flown extensively in my youth.
I only wear sports bras now when flying to avoid this nonsense. It's more comfy anyway, AND it's harder for a TSA agent to "accidentally" slip his hand under your bra to feel up even more than he should. Disgusting that this is even an issue we need to be aware of and protect ourselves from.
You clearly have not seen the white granny terrorist from Jan 6th. Her excited smile is chilling to snowflakes.
That said, I am so sorry that this has happened. I was a child when these policies went into place & recall telling my parents this was just so perverts could see naked women (I may have also suggested that my friends join TSA to flag model type women before they blew up the charts. My mother was not impressed with either comment).
Maybe we need a BACA style group to stand outside those doors. TSA might listen to guys that they are not sure if they are willing to go to prison for compelling agents to be respectful, get someone a blanket & quickly do their unconstitutional search.
I used to the the 4S boarding pass all the time. Maybe it was because I always opt out of the scanners. That means guaranteed enhanced pat downs at the minimum. Eventually I started insisting they grope me out in public where everyone can see. After that process happened a few times I stopped getting that “random” screening code.
It could well be coincidence the entire time. But I don’t think so.
I have been telling people who ask where all of the fast food workers went that they work for the tsa now. Its just a bunch of low IQ burger flippers on a power trip now.
Getting one of these people fired isn’t really possible in their current system.
Their goal is to be anti-American. Asking for justice or sympathy won’t help. The TSA seems like it’s too widely deployed and unbonded to have a successful lawsuit against it. Direct legal action against the small fries is unlikely to turn up much.
What jurisdiction are airports even under?
My best guess at present is to be calling them out as actual Nazis, en masse, every chance we get, but legally protected abusive molesters probably aren’t very prone to shaming.
This isn't normal. There's a reason they did this. Things that come to mind are they could have had a dog that alerted on you while you waited. Or if they checked your hands they could have gotten a positive for explosive chemicals. Or it could have been your name. You could be on a list.
Been detained several times at various customs entry points each time for several hours. While it wasn't always fun, it was never that big of a deal to me at least.
Similar treatment, including the full Monty of bend over and spread wide. Frankly, just made the best of it knowing I had nothing to hide, literally and figuratively.
In one instance, it took ~2 hrs with two large customs agents. Did what was asked and clowned around with then during the process, telling them they must get paid the big bucks. Going as far as saying aye wouldn't leave until they would come in for a group hug, and told them my doctor hadn't even seen that much of me. So now that we were so close we were like family. Got my hug while laughing at them, they were not thrilled. As few day later randomly ran into one of them off duty and called him out in front of everyone. Who all laughed at him. Guess one could say aye got the last laugh.
Profiled for having a visible tattoo. Changed my strategy and started wearing button downs and it never happened again in that particular extremely conservative and wealthy country that is well known for their strict customs policy.
Where exactly did that happen? That is not in their job description.Even the police who are there to catch smugglers don’t do that. If it involves bodily cavities they take them to a hospital, they don’t do it at the airport
I have not flown since 2006--my first experience with the TSA. I will never again fly until they are banished. The whole thing is an egregious assault on our unalienable rights. I am appalled at the number of people who go along with this satanic charade.
What is then the point of the irradiating naked body scanners they make you go through, if they still have to strip search people like this. Absolutely infuriating.
You were singled-out. What are the odds our wonderful FBI determined your existence on GA was worth messing with you ... got your IP address, figured out who you were, your plans ... and decided to mess with & humiliate you?
I would no longer be surprised at anything, sadly.
Note - if your boarding pass has SSSS on it you are "chosen" for enhanced screening (called a "selectee"). You used to be able to go to a kiosk before security and change your seat to get a new boarding pass and possibly lose the SSSS, but I think they caught on to that loophole.
Yep, that's why you get pre, global entry or clear to avoid lines and the profiling. Amex reimburses for clear and global. While you get into a DB w/ prints and retina scans. Eyes change over time and being printed happens w/ CCW. You can change your prints over time. For example, many old school teachers wore their prints out from using so much chalk.
I have a metal rod through all 3 pieces of my pelvis and I am mistreated every time I go to the airport. They physically stick their hands down my pants in front of all viewers and molest me in public. I haven’t flown since 2017 because of this. I don’t have any tips for your wife.
Was not what I was implying, was implying that Karens are the only grouping that is likely to wholesale litigate this shit enough to make it go away, non karens are far more likely to just bear the indignity....
I remember going on a girls trip to NOLA back in December 2001. It was the first time I flew after 9/11. I traveled with a group of girls who were all about 10 years older than me, I affectionately called them "The Aunts". On the way home, one of the aunts was randomly selected to be pat down. The most innocent of them all, the one who was not a partier, the most white bread of us all. If anyone should have been patted down it was me (lol). I'm flying this weekend by myself but I think I've mastered the "Don't F with me" look in airports by now. And it's unmistakable because it's not covered with a mask.
It has nothing to do with safety and security. It is a humiliation ritual way too many Americans willingly put themselves through. Figured this out when the Muslim community refused to allow themselves and their women to be put through the same humiliation ritual.
Now remember that this whole TSA fiasco is the result of the 9/11 false flag and it'll really piss you off.
No temporary government program stays temporary
Yes. They target European Whites overwhelmingly too
Just like the covid mask.
They harrass and humiliate women but its OK for terrorists to walk in across our border?
As long as the border is open there is really no use in TSA after all.
Oh, they’ll cup nuts in line, too. Have seen it happen.
Plenty of videos online of them swiping the clamshell too
Fuck flying. If I can drive, I'm not going.
Right there with you. If I can't drive there, I don't go.
EXACTLY. 😎💯

That makes me furious. I also have both knees replaced as well as a spinal fusion. Did this air port not have the machines you step into? And when they are not any machines they can wand you to suffice, which I am often. That behavior needs to be reported.
See something, say something comes to mind.
TSA is just like all the other alphabet agencies…TOTAL GARBAGE!!!
Sons a bitches. Never seen an elderly lady hijack a plane. What the hell are these people thinking?
Why are they not profiling? Police do this all the time even with all the diversity training. If someone looks like a criminal they probably are.
Utter trash. Full of power crazed inadequates who get off on stunts like this.
Yup. Y'all are probably on a list. I will never fly again. I love driving anyway. Yes, I understand that this is not an option for many. Just my two cents. Sorry to hear that. As a husband/father there is little worse than feeling helpless when your people need help.

No one flys anymore. Stop flying.

I too work in aerospace and I don't trust the retards around me to not ground a plane at best with their "craftsmanship"
It’s infuriating to those true craftsmen in their field. Thank the “edumacation system” and the Rockefellers for instituting it.
💯
They just rehired multiple former retirees because they're desperate for people who understand machining. Too many dollars wasted because of incompetent operators

I am currently dealing with the DEI bullshit and the morons always make my job harder. Sigh lol. The weekends are getting shorter I swear lol
It will end. Eventually. Stay strong young man, we have work to do! 👍🏼
No one flies anymore because the jets are too crowded :)
Yogiism
Plenty of folks still fly. Airports are busy as ever and planes full. I fly all the time
Time to call a lawyer. Drag them through the mud and when you get to the end, make sure to hold their head under water until they stop twitching.
Government program, they'll just print your 300,000 settlement and keep doing what they're doing
Good luck finding a lawyer that will sue the federal government.
Remember when the body scanners and tsa were a "6 month security measure?" Pepe-ridge farm remembers...
"6-month"? More like 60 years if things stay the same.
I know it's not quite as bad as what your wife went through, but when I was 16 coming back from a group trip to France (my first time overseas and out of the country) TSA stopped ME specifically (none of the other teens) and said I had triggered their metal detectors. I heard that codename MagaGranny single handidly incapacitated 7 guards and tore the front door off the capitol building
I hear she was also the mastermind over the lectern incident.
Did you videotape this violation? Seems like something like that should’ve been done. Sorry I had to go through that.
The TSA has never successfully stopped a terrorist.
I used to the the 4S boarding pass all the time. Maybe it was because I always opt out of the scanners. That means guaranteed enhanced pat downs at the minimum. Getting one of these people fired isn’t really possible in their current system.

"elderly WHITE women"
Key word there. Now you know why they took so long. In reality none of that had to happen.
Been detained several times at various customs entry points each time for several hours. While it wasn't always fun, it was never that big of a deal to me at least.

Caribbean, option was submit there or be taken to hospital.
You need to send a complaint with your local politician. I know they’re all corrupt but at least it’s documented.
I will never fly again. F- these tyrants.

"Extremest Patriots".
Abolish TSA. Sorry for your wife's ordeal fren.
Glad I hate to fly.

Not exactly a fan of the US law-suit 'culture'...
There are however exceptions and a time and place for such tendencies to come to the forefront......
Sorta hoping stuff like this happens to Karens with money.......

You can thank Shrub and his Patriot Act. My late mother-in-law was pulled out of line for a pat down when she was 75. Pathetic
