The U.S. Department of Justice said that two active-duty U.S. Army soldiers, Jian Zhao and Li Tian, and a veteran, Ruoyu Duan, were in the process of attempting to sell national defense intelligence to Chinese agents. Zhao and Tian were stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
In addition to treason charges, Tian and Duan face counts of bribery and theft of government property. Meanwhile, Zhao faces a charge of conspiracy to transmit national defense information to someone not authorized to have it.
“Jian Zhao and Li Tian, active-duty U.S. Army soldiers stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, along with Ruoyu Duan, a former U.S. Army soldier, were arrested today following indictments by federal grand juries in the District of Oregon and the Western District of Washington,”

And what's wrong with Chinese names? Are they more poisonous than English names? Or German names? Or Dutch names? Or Swiss names? Or African names? Or French names? Or Norwegian names? Or Icelandic names? That's just my family. We were all immigrants. Who doesn't have a "foreign-sounding" name? I've had friends with Welsh, Scots, Swedish, Portuguese, Serbian, Polish, Hungarian, Vietnamese, Latvian, Hebrew, Hindu, and Armenian names. No name any more suspicious than any other. Benedict Arnold did not have a "foreign-sounding" name. Your "but come on!" is simply a bigoted insult against most of the people in my life.
The only ones who do not have "foreign-sounding" names are indigenous Americans, with names we would not recognize.

Nah man, this aint it. There are A LOT of vetting issues in the US military and we let people in from all over. Have you ever seen a white guy in any asian military? No. Because the truth is foreign = less likely to be loyal. I agree its a small percentage but the fact remains that almost no other country allows it. I didnt hate any fellow service members but its weird serving next to people who barely speak english in our own military

I've seen how you've been engaged in argument over this, and I doubt we have anything to beef about, really. I don't personally love the idea of Chinese infiltrators in any part of the government, and you really can't deny that they're flipping everywhere.
To your point, there's nothing wrong with Chinese names (or any other), as long as they aren't spooking.
The issue is not "foreign-sounding names." The issue is disloyalty and/or criminality. The most egregious spies have been ordinary Americans. I live on the west coast, and Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese names are commonplace.

I'm a bit skeptical of Bondi, too, but here we have 2 arrests for treason, which the DOJ will have to prosecute.
This might be the "first arrest" (as it is for TREASON), and DOJ can figure out how best to prosecute in the questionable courts.

While I greatly appreciate these arrests, the only thing I want Patel & Bongino focused on in the near term is exposing the handlers and networks of Presidential assassins Routh & Crooks.
IMO, no issue should be more significant than publicly exposing and prosecuting the networks behind these two pieces of shit. President Trump's safety is everything, especially at this delicate time when the table is being set for the destruction of the deep state and the Cabal that controls the deep state.
