In 1972 I started my training in Combat Medicine/Combat Casualty Care (CCC) under (PACAF) command which in the early1980s became (AFSOC). An on and off regular part of our continuous training was doing shifts in large city hospital EDs. So I know where the heart and lungs are on every animal on the continent. In the human animal the heart is slightly left of median mostly covered by the sternum (sometimes referred to as the heart shield). In most cases except for extremely large humans the cardiac box protects the heart and lungs.
What amazes me is how many people on this site have no understanding of weapons, ballistics and, projectile wounds. I used to think if a civil war between the left and right breaks out it would be over in days with the right victorious. Now I'm starting to have doubts.

The heart is located directly between the nipples, both above and below them.
This means that any 'cardiac box' armor would need to be between that area (either covering or very near the nipples), have a non-zero thickness, and be held to the body with securing straps that would be visible on the back. A quick search for available 'cardiac box' systems proves that point.
He may have been able to hide cardiac box protection underneath a suit or even a billowing dress shirt, but he was wearing a lightweight t-shirt that (in some photos) was stretched tightly across his skin.
There is absolutely no way that there is a non-zero thickness plate of any kind anywhere near Charlie's nipples in those photographs. There is also no way that there are any securing straps in the back image.
Edit: There are also some pics (above) that show his t-shirt substantially 'depressed' (concave) between his chest muscles -- right where a plate would be.

I can't understand how a plate jumps upward if it is also supposedly deflecting a projectile (or part of one) upward.
Newton says there is an equal and opposite reaction -- therefore any plate should have been pushed downwards, in reaction to deflecting the bullet upwards.
The only explanation of that (for me) is if he was shot from below, first grazing a plate (lifting it) and then entering the neck. (But there is no commensurate tear on the shirt.)

I'm hanging up my hat on this topic for a while because I have nothing meaningful to offer and my purely speculative opinion is just as worthless as the next.
Firstly, I always wait for a good amount of time after any event to form an opinion. Just too many moving parts and to many people wanting to manipulate the truth. I don't believe much of any of what is shown to us. Even after time has past. I look at what others have done when doing deep dives into people involved, on both sides of the story. In this case, both Charlie and family, and the supposed shooter. Any time something like this occurs, know that there are going to be a lot of people looking at every frame of footage of every angle they can get. But even that has its issues.
The entire thing could have been orchestrated. Doing so would have every effect we see today. I don't buy absolutely that Charlie was on the up and up. Too many issues with his wife, and kids even. Background on all of them? Family histories? He seemingly popped up out of nowhere, just as many others in the MAGA movement. I do think he was a tool being used and maybe recruited many years ago.
On the other hand, his 180 on Israel is what ultimately caused the issue. And I say "issue" and not "assassination" because I believe he is still alive. If you look at his posts he does a video showing the shot was from about 78 yards out, not the 160 to Tyler's position. He also does a video showing a HADES cia plane dropped low by the University shortly before the event, dropped off several (4) drones that fly at 150mph or more, and that one of the drones was in the shooting area (78 yards). There was a post on GAW yesterday that linked to a thread on tweeter claiming that a frame by frame analysis of the video shows conclusively that Kirk was not hit by a bullet of any kind, but that there was a small explosive charge in the wireless microphone attached to his collar. This charge supposedly turned the small magnet used to attach the unit to his collar into a projectile similar in size to some bullets. The thread also claims that Mossad assassinated someone earlier this year with this exact same method, basically a more sophisticated variation of what they did with the exploding pagers in the Middle East last year to assassinate terrorist leaders.
I have no idea whatsoever if this theory holds any water or not, but it was a fascinating read, and would answer some of the questions people have had.

In most cases except for extremely large humans the cardiac box protects the heart and lungs.

The heart is located directly between the nipples, both above and below them.
This means that any 'cardiac box' armor would need to be between that area (either covering or very near the nipples), have a non-zero thickness, and be held to the body with securing straps that would be visible on the back. A quick search for available 'cardiac box' systems proves that point.
He may have been able to hide cardiac box protection underneath a suit or even a billowing dress shirt, but he was wearing a lightweight t-shirt that (in some photos) was stretched tightly across his skin.
There is absolutely no way that there is a non-zero thickness plate of any kind anywhere near Charlie's nipples in those photographs. There is also no way that there are any securing straps in the back image.

I can't understand how a plate jumps upward if it is also supposedly deflecting a projectile (or part of one) upward.
Newton says there is an equal and opposite reaction -- therefore any plate should have been pushed downwards, in reaction to deflecting the bullet upwards.
The only explanation of that (for me) is if he was shot from below, first grazing a plate (lifting it) and then entering the neck. (But there is no commensurate tear on the shirt.)
But some sort of device 'in front of and below' Charlie would explain why the area seems to have been 'worked on' shortly after the assassination. Firstly, I always wait for a good amount of time after any event to form an opinion. Just too many moving parts and to many people wanting to manipulate the truth. If you look at his posts he does a video showing the shot was from about 78 yards out, not the 160 to Tyler's position. There was a post on GAW yesterday that linked to a thread on tweeter claiming that a frame by frame analysis of the video shows conclusively that Kirk was not hit by a bullet of any kind, but that there was a small explosive charge in the wireless microphone attached to his collar. This charge supposedly turned the small magnet used to attach the unit to his collar into a projectile similar in size to some bullets. The thread also claims that Mossad assassinated someone earlier this year with this exact same method, basically a more sophisticated variation of what they did with the exploding pagers in the Middle East last year to assassinate terrorist leaders.
I have no idea whatsoever if this theory holds any water or not, but it was a fascinating read, and would answer some of the questions people have had.
