What this means in a nutshell:

Reclassifying marijuana from a Schedule I drug, which the DEA defines as having “no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse,” to a Schedule III drug, which the DEA defines as having “a moderate to low potential for physical and psychological dependence.” That reclassification could have implications for research of marijuana or use for medical purposes.

Legal cannabis businesses will also see relief from harsh federal tax rules and improved access to banking.

AND I GUARANTEE THAT CANCER PATIENTS, ANY KIND, WILL FIND THIS A GODSEND...

The reason is due to the cancer drugs to the patient(s) which make them EXTREMELY SICK and NAUSEATED... Cannabis call "CALMS" the brain just enough so the patient(s) stay aware but are in a CALM STATE...

I wish my late wife and could have had this when she was alive... The Breast Cancer drugs are powerful and VERY NAUSEATING!!!!!

Mr. President, thank you and for all cancer patients, God Speed...on you journey!!!!!

Good for boosting appetite as well. While my wife was going thru chemo back in 2014, I found a 'source' for some edibles. Helped her a LOT.

Believe that entirely. Marijuana is a known appetite stimulant (they don't call them the "munchies" for nothing). I've never understood why cancer patients who have undergone chemo and experience massive weight loss / appetite loss, aren't immediately prescribed some form of marijuana. It's about the most natural appetite stimulant available it would seem.

Hope your wife is fully recovered

No.. we needed decrim. It was the only way.

Small business will get regulated out of operation. The holistic industry is DONE. I worked for a dispensary, the biggest cost IS the regulatory compliance. They don't need access to "banking", and we don't need additional "research", we already have the empirical data. The treatment protocol is tolerance, not "dosing". It took the choice of using these products out of our hands and into the "approval" of big pharma. This ONLY serves to enrich the corporations, and keep people that need access to these products tethered to them.

We already had synthetic cannabinoids, this only PROMOTES them. The govt will NEVER use natural cannabis in anything. We are still eating GMO corn in almost every food product produced, why would we believe they would use actual hemp derived THC/CBD? Do we SERIOUSLY think they are going to actually manage this properly?

Its bullshit. But then again, people got so tired of winning that they started losing. Summer patriots and all.

Or they will say, "see, told you it doesn't help with cancer", because they modify the chemical to where it can't. So many people have NO clue they are being played by this.

Yeah... I dont take Jammz or Kinn as the shilly types. That's a too bold and cold accusation.

You all have valid points. It's both fine to complain about it and it's fine to criticize those complaints.

Kinn makes a really good point. Decriminalization would've been ideal, and certain industries will attempt to profiteer, pilfer, and poison as a result.

However, this move is a win on several fronts. The biggest being bipartisan majority public support. Think optics.

Another is this now will push all states to lessen and restructure their existing cannabis and hemp laws.

So I would agree with you. This is nothing to doom over, but I agree with the others too. Beware and watch the corrupt bureaucracy buzzards that will begin circling soon enough.

why are all the doomers who are always on the bleeding edge of hating Trump also the muh Joo crowd

Because they are those who have a higher loyalty to the Ecclesia. That's why. They were never true patriots, they only love Trump insomuch as he pushes us closer to a theocratic-dictatorship that they so desperately crave, a return to the Dark Ages. Church-States. Because they believe they belong to "the one true church" and the evil Jews killed Jesus. (We all killed Jesus btw, read the Bible)

If you read the bible nobody "killled" Jesus. The jews called for his death, the romans crucified him. He could have had a legion of angels and gotten down any time. He even said so. Godnput the decision tonsacrifice himself in His own hands and Jesus understood our salvation required his death so he went to the cross. He always did the Fathers will. But he only died when he said "it is finished".. and GAVE UP the ghost.

Its a lie to say otherwise. Many rejected him and still do. But no man killed him.

I also worked 8 years in the industry at the director level. A very large company. The industry itself came up with pill forms and many alternate ways of consuming it. We found the publics appetite when medicating was for the plant material. None of the pill forms stayed in production. Sprays and oils were a bit more and demand but 70 percent of sales were flower and 20 percent vape. unless pharma grows the plants theyll fail. The market drives this and the past 15 years has already shaped what people want.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– Kunkussion 1 point 190 days ago +1 / -0

Same here, 90% of sales was flower. We only stocked aerovape, mellow fellow and cherried's because people didn't want the smell of flower while smoking or wanted to smoke on the job, which we had to rattle off a disclaimer about drug testing if they mentioned that.

There's no way in hell I'm smoking government or big corp weed. The 2018 farm bill loophole was the only alternative to decriminalization, and worked very well.. and now that it's schedule 3, that appears to be all but void now, and now we get the Monsanto treatment.

Gods plan is grander than you can ever imagine...

that lava, it solidified and youre walking on it.

youd have an argument if we existed billions of years ago, but we dont.

to spin your logic back, youd rather go to a doctor than eat healthy? youd rather neglect your health to the point where youd have to pay some narcissistic asshole whos probably drowning in student loans to play god on the body your creator calls his temple.

is ivermectin patented?

is the vaccine patented?

lets take it a step further, is you (gmo) food patented? how would you know, theres no label.

gods way is the right way, mans way is wrong.

permalink parent save report block reply

How exactly is not swimming in lava even similar to going to a doctor? That doesn't even make any sense

Point is that you have to be smart with using what is provided to us in nature. Wasting away smoking weed all day is not smart. Using marijuana for medicinal purposes to cure a disease is smart, if marijuana is shown to cure any disease.

is swimming in lava smart?

garbage came out of your mouth. garbage is what you get back (assuming you dont understand parables)

Wasting away smoking weed all day is not smart.

thats an assumption. some people eat it, others brew it. and some who smoke it tend to be productive when they do. anomalies to you, truth to others. it enhances who you are. if youre a lazy cunt, smoking will make you an even lazier cunt. see, the thing is, those lazy cunts have no problem smoking in public, youre attributing the actions of a few to all. im sure i dont have to tell you how stupid that is.

"but weed changed you".

no. it changed the way you look at me. thats the power of public perception.

if marijuana is shown to cure any disease.

if? ignorance is to reject something you know nothing about. tell me there is no medical value. i dare you.

Happy parent takes 3 year old to the park.

Some teenager or whatever lights up some marijuana 250 yards away.

The entire park smells like weed for an hour.

Enjoy your childhood, kid. Hope you like the smell.

THE problem with legalization is that there needs to be some way to hit inconsiderate smokers/drivers with pollution penalties in areas who don’t want to live life in a dank haze.

No, we need people to stop being petty. Public parks dont allow drinking so smoking ciggarettes and weed are already prohibited also. I dont like noisy kids but rhey still go to the park and make noise. Weve become too entitled and petty. Also, the smell doesnt linger thst long so if you smell it at all its been freshly smoked. None of these arguements or complaints trumps anothers freedom.

There have been a ton of calls here to go after Muslim calls to prayer using noise pollution laws.

There are a lot of cigarette bans in public areas due to health concerns from secondhand smoke.

I’m open to being wrong, and note that the ability I’m suggesting should be up to local ordinances, and not nationwide, but having some preventative method to keep children from having to play in a cloud of marijuana smoke is at least a better argument than both of those. It seems comparable to someone running a bass booster loud enough to shake neighboring walls (valid), or rerouting water flow such that it causes flood control issues (very valid).

There is a place for laws and judgments when one person or unreasonably affects his property or ability to freely enjoy public spaces in a free society, and the first two claim examples seem like lesser justified examples than this one, though I do agree that we’ve gone too far on legalistically imposing them as a whole. We’ve also become far too inconsiderate of a society as a whole, and there need to be corrective methods.

Perhaps restoring “right to a trial by jury of peers” could accomplish the task, rather than simply having judge or “regulator” handing down statutory decrees.

What do you think the burning bush was? Moses was known to be in communication with God when smoke started billowing from his tabernacle. Back then, Cannabis was called Kenneh bosm and was the main active ingredient in the holy incense (hashish) that was mentioned throughout the old testament and Moses was a user of kenneh bosm incense to communicate with The Lord. But, also, again, page one of the book of Genesis makes anti marijuana laws ungodly and antichristian. Think: Anti-Christ

Fun theory. If true, then Moses only consumed marijuana (by means of smoking, without intending to) only once in his life, and managed to turn his life around positively.

Too bad most of the people who are smoking marijuana recreationally (many times more than once) aren't turning around their lives positively by doing so.

There will be some conflict and confusion as this all gets settled. But, I think it will open up the doors to things getting better and may even lead to these issues getting to the Supreme Court. That is who really needs to overturn things because many of these anti cannabis laws are blatantly unconstitutional, but were enabled by past court justices. One bad precedent being the ruling that Cannabis has no religious implications under the first amendment.

But, for concealed carry in Ohio, I would imagine that there will no longer be justification of that law and that as schedule 3 you should have ADA protections that should nullify that law, especially if you can get a doctor to write a note explaining that it will not affect your ability to own or operate a firearm. I'm not a lawyer, so hopefully I am correct...

This is great news! The therapeutic benefits of cannabis can finally be studied. I’m laughing out loud imagining the cognitive dissonance of the lefties right now, having to admit that DJT made something happen that they support. Not their guys Slick Willie or Barry Hussein, but the sober guy who’s never taken a puff in his life. Jah live

Xanax? I got hooked on Xanax back in the 90s. My company was a very high-stress job. And I had 100 employees to look after. I retired and am no longer super high-stressed. My GP prescribed it to me. I LOVED Xanax. I was getting the drug by the handful. I do not have an addictive personality. I can drink today and not drink again for 3 years. Cigarettes, I hate. But I think of Xanax when I get highly stressed.

Thank you Mr. President!!! If I'm not mistaking, I can now get a prescription and not be discriminated against in employment drug screens and if I can get a doctors note, I can even get a CDL. This is a start! Id like to see it as legal as tomatoes or at least beer, but what I really want to see are the studies on driving. I have been following the issue for decades and the internet has "disappeared" the studies that show that it does not negatively affect driving ability or motor response time, but improves them. If people can have vineyards, home brew kits or grow their own tobacco, then I should be allowed to pursue happiness by growing my own stash! And, I have a right to work!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! Here is my take from my days in law enforcement. Drunks do 90 mph and think theyre doing 30, weed smokers do 30 mph and think theyre going 90. Never had a car wreck where the cause was weed. Had plenty on pharma and alchohol usually mixed. Most smokers dont drink at the same time due to a thing called fade. But pills and booze has always been a thing.

I think it's interesting how many "Patriots" are smoking dope, when even the "legal" marijuana is run by the cartels. Sure the shops are run by "down home guys just like me!!!" but the growers? Taken over by the cartel. I've seen the proof in California, however I can guarantee since the cartel controls the drugs and the money that gets poured into it, they control it in your state too.

ugh. Breaks my heart.

If people on this board knew me, they'd know I don't smoke weed at all, I maybe drink a six pack of beer a year, don't drink hard alcohol, but magic mushrooms are something different.

I'm a serious succulent nerd, and grow hundreds from all over the world. I saw a documentary called Fantastic Fungi (link below) that came out a few years ago and became interested in psilocybin containing mushrooms. I can grow almost anything, so I decided to give them a try only as a microdose. I grew my own successfully on the first attempt, and tried a microdose. I'm telling you my depressive state changed. You can't get addicted, and there is zero money in it for the pharmaceutical industry.

Watch the documentary and you'll be amazed.

Not a public company and it was well run with good products. The state regulated it very well and that kept organized crime out. California is likely as you say but not the industry as a whole.

I never liked it. Everyone I knew growing up did though in Nevada. I treated it just like I would a gay person. I never liked that either. Yet I had friends that were gay and high with some being high and gay.

For Me I have always had the ability to say no and rebuke when I did not want to do anything with the ability to also still be friends and encourage the friends to see another path so to speak.

THE BIGGEST thing I do not like about it now is the Government is making the stuff and that is the worst of all. When I went back to NV I did go in one of the stores and it had more cameras than a Casino did, both out in the parking lot and inside the store. They had so many variations of it and with the Government and Pharma involved who knows what they are smoking.

I would encourage people to only smoke stuff that is locally grown by small business and over the years I have accepted that it could help people with pain issues.
