For the past couple of weeks in my town, many of the stores here haven't had the chance to restock items, leaving many empty shelves. There are three regular stores I frequent where I have talked to the employees, and they confirmed that regular shipments aren't coming in, or they only have half the items that are usually delivered. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? I remeber that there was talk of a planned food shortage in the U.S on GAW about two months or so ago, so it definitely piqued my curiosity after personally encountering some weird situations.

I work in industrial supply chain and it's a disaster! We don't have enough people to pick orders... our manufacturing partners are giving us lead times that once were 2-3 days are now 3-5 weeks... for the same issue... not enough employees... just to get us to pre-covid numbers we would need to hire ~2800 employees in the US alone... employees are exhausted and customers are pissed... and if they offer more money to those that are just getting back to work as those who have worked this whole time they'll risk walkouts.
Oh, that makes a lot of sense! Thanks for all your hard work in the industrial chain!
Are there masks mandates or Vax mandates? These things are really starting to turn a lot of people off.
No the company I work for is amazing! They have made it very clear that they will never force us to get the Vax. And where masks are concerned they only make us follow whatever the local government is requiring.
Here are my observations from am e-commerce company that sells to consumers and does our own manufacturing. We do about 10 million a year from our own ecommerce storefront. We do not use Amazon or any other marketplace. We want total control. Our FedEx deliveries are delivered on time about 79% of the time. This includes 1 day and 2 day air domestic packages. Anything made out of plastic has huge lead times (6 months) this includes plastic containers for products and other plastics used for our manufacturing process. We have been looking for suitable help for months. This is not minimum wage jobs. It pays between 36 to 42 grand a year and include generous profit sharing and 401K benefits. We like to do in person interviews and I have 2 people bail on me without cancelling the appointment. People that contact us showing us interest and then not responding when we call back is very common. We use Indeed.com, Zip Recruiter, and Craigslist for recruiting. We have never had problems hiring before. I am in WA State and have been in business for 23 years. Sometimes I feel like I am living in the Twilight Zone
My wife can't find her St Pauli Girl beer and she is really bumming out. I suggested Pabst Blue Ribbon and was a recipient of "the look"....
HAHAHAH, PBR.....you deserved that look.
https://youtu.be/nGSN7JVg1yQ
Hamms is a pretty good alternative to PBR.
Great ice cold, not worth a damn hot or shaken.
I love Hamms. I will occasionally mix in an Olympia, Shaefer, Weideman, or Schlitz if I can find it. Shit beers are the best beers. I used to have an old Hamms Beer Bear sign. I need to find it.
My grandfather use to tell stories about jumping out of airplanes while in the Army with a 6pack of PBR in his rucksack. He was a paratrooper in WW2. I miss that man. He said if any bottles broke during your landing you’d catch hell from your squad. He never broke any bottles and drank pbr until the day he died. Me, I’ll have one in his memory every once in awhile but it’s not my fav.
Olympia and Falstaff. Oh wait, Falstaff’s gone.
And Schlitz!
Howls...
Back in the day (80’s) I worked in a wine shop/beer & liquor store. Wine shop was huge. Anyway it was revealed that (then, dunno about now?) that St Pauli Girl WAS Becks with different marketing ie labeling etc. Same German brewery etc. Seemed then it got to be common knowledge.
Were does Warste8ner fit in that mix?
Oh, I wasnt gonna judge. But I agree completely. Here lately been hunting the Kulmacher 5lt kefs
I know I had "the look" just reading your suggestion to her.
I've also noticed a beer shortage. think I need to learn how to make my own, should probably order supplies before they're gone too.
Ha that's weird. In law dropped off a case for me yesterday because they were so cheap when he went to get himself one.
Busch NA also. It's been a few weeks.
I tried that and Bud Zero...But are pretty good....
Bud Zero is alright, but it isn't Busch NA. You're not in KY by chance?
I was raised there, Ashland to be exact, so it was a natural move to live where I do now...I am still a proud hillbilly who let's his opinion be known with a twang...
As in your screenname, that's why I asked. :) Lawrence Co, Ohio, myself.
She's not that young anymore... maybe you could suggest she switch to Big Helga
I will see if we can locate Big Helga. Thanks for the tip fren!
That's because the cargo ships coming into the points of entry are being probed like crazy. The entry to the port of Los Angeles looks like a parking lot most days now. I've never seen war posture personally but that's what I would do if I was at war with China.
I saw somewhere on utube its like 10-12 days vice the old 1-2 and this affects the rest of the supply delivery process.
Not enough workers in retail and WHs. This is what happens when people wait for the government to hand them a check.
It's NOT that simple. The narrative is a set up to get us to accept foreign workers for the "jobs Americans won't do". Also as a set up for Universal Basic Income. The reality is many of those jobs only schedule people for a handful of hours. Nothing that people can live on without multiple jobs but you are expected to be available for all shifts all days. In other words, unreasonable demands are being placed on workers and workers are examining their options as would any sane person,
Macy's, which is notorious for only paying minimum wage in non-union stores, is going to be pilot testing self-scanners. They don't want to pay the wages that places like Target and Burger King do. BTW, I work part-time, and it's one of the most active jobs around. Ring, sell, stock, fold, clean, etc. It's common for new people to go to lunch on their first day and never return.
I worked at Kohls for 7 years while I went to college pt to do what I am doing now. I am so glad I left retail. For the most part it was okay and I got lots of exercise walking a minimum of 5 miles on a busy day. I think everyone needs to work retail for a year to know how difficult it can be to work with the public.
I found that by being a gas station clerk while in college. Never again will I have a job dealing with the general public.
That's very true!
another issue is that some places may require vaccination for employment... luckily for me, I am one of only a handful of people that can do my job.
Yikes! A result from the Xiden regime that hopefully wakes up financially astute normies.
I went to Ross for the first time a month ago and it was bare. I asked the cashier if it was usually like that and she said trucks have only been arriving with 1/2 loads.
Fuck those who say you are greedy, stock up on necessities.
Ross wouldn't open the changing rooms due to da rona. I tried on shorts right in the aisle. Fuck 'em, I had underwear on.
Security guard Karen came over and said to stop, there are children in the store, and you're naked! I replied that children are not harmed by briefly seeing knee-length boxer briefs on a man. She later apologized for overreacting.
No changing rooms allowed. Oh but the bathroom is right over there. Hooray for science.
IM sorry, but I wouldn't want a grown man stripping to his underwear around my kids. Boxers or not. Maybe wear shorts next time and try on over them? I appreciate your idea, and it's more the "stripping down to your underwear " in front of them rather than them seeing your knees.
What damage do you think that does to a child? Be specific.
Grooming children to accept seeing grown men with their pants off. Tip toe, tip toe. Next you'll ask what's the harm in children seeing a naked man? It's natural, isn't it?
Have you ever heard of swim trunks?
The real tip toe is that the changing rooms are closed for no reason...
Did you read the post where he said underwear?
I also read "knee-length boxer briefs."
The point stands either way. You were that stuff at the pool. Unless you don't believe in those either. Or beaches.
LOL if the man is trying on shorts by himself in a store, of course he is putting those pants ON. Even little kids can figure that out.
Medically speaking no harm is done to young humans merely by seeing a live nude adult body. As you stated, it is natural. They don't think there's supposed to be anything wrong or dirty about it until adults teach it to them.
But that's just scientifically speaking. Culturally is another matter of course. In most countries people wear textiles all the time. So, suddenly seeing a nude person out and about would seem highly unusual.
Setting is super important. Where we happen to live in Florida, clothing optional resorts are numerous, and a certain few are designated as family oriented. At those, just about every visitor is either a veteran, a business owner or professional, a strong family-focused American, and a Trump-supporting conservative LOL they just like to frolic au naturel like in the old days, before everything got weird. Absolutely nothing bad happens, I mean nothing, the kids play in their area of the pool among themselves and ignore the boring grownups. It's just like any other day at the pool except swimsuits are optional. It's pretty cool actually, in a certain nostalgic sense.
Each to his own. Skinny dipping isn't for everyone, but it isn't a bad thing.
Level-headed post, thank you.
Thanks patriot
Okay groomer.
Funny pun, but no
To me, it's the same exposure as having a man go in the same public restroom as them. I don't want them I'm there lowering their pants, either. Why worry about the bathroom if they are doing it in the aisles? Sorry, I'm just old fashioned like that.
BIG difference:
In a men's room, there are literally naked penises being pulled out all day long, one after another. For urinating. Also in there are private stalls where a predator can actually take a child and do evil things. Not so out in the aisle, where I calmly tried on ten pairs of shorts and perpetrated no evil while doing no excreting of bodily fluids and displaying no naughty bits. :p
It's a fine line parents walk between protecting their children, and making them grow up into puritanical neurotics who think the human body including their own is something dirty and nasty. But you signed up for walking that line when you had children. Good luck! :)
LOL the repeated use of the word "stripping" makes it sound sleazy and sexualized, Monique. I was trying on shorts. I mean, if your kids ever get to go to a swimming pool or a beach, then they see people wearing a whole lot less than what I had on. So, no cause for alarm.
Yes, I'm an old fashioned prude. I feel stripping down to your underwear in public is different than doing it to take a bath or go swimming.
Sorry about that. You must never go to the beach, where people's swimsuits cover far less of their human body.
In fairness I do live in Florida, where people typically wear far less clothing than in cooler states. Bikini tops are normal outerwear, etc. We just don't get freaked out by seeing people's bodies covered by less material.
closing the dressing rooms were stupid.
all that happened was people would buy various sizes, try them on at home, then there's a long line of people returning all kinds of clothes.
KFC drive through on Sunday evening was slowed to the crawl of an aged tortoise because they didn't get their truck. The retail establishment I worked in until a week ago was still getting regular trucks but for the last 3 months didn't seem to be getting any new sets. In an unusual pattern they were actually restocking a lot of the seasonal stuff instead of moving on to new stuff. I noticed it in other stores and thought, they know, they are preparing for 'something'.
I see it as part of a very big plan...... not just food although that is of course very important. They already killed most small business. Next they will screw with the middle tier until those businesses can't maintain prices, can't find employees and can't do business at all. Then only their big box buddies are left to mandate vaccines if you want to work or eat.
That's when those gates that Wal-Mart installed will come in to play.
Saw overt degeneracy in a KFC ad. Will never eat there again.
Not in my area but we are a large hub for delivery trucks.
The brand of canned cat food I always buy on Chewy has been out-of-stock for weeks. They've had intermittent shortages over the past year, but this is the worst I've seen it.
I was just complaining to my husband and father about this! We're paying top dollar for produce and its getting to the point that we have to use it the same day or its not useful the next day. We order our groceries so we're not picking it out ourselves. I thought maybe the shoppers were being lazy but now I'm starting to suspect that they don't have much to choose from. We've been receiving moldy bell peppers and rubbery cucumbers for two weeks now. They refund the cost but what the fuck are we supposed to eat? We have a garden growing but a lot of the vegetables aren't ready to be eaten yet.
lol eat those grains, goy! Malnutrition at its gayest.
Rockauto.com has been getting sparse for auto parts for anything other than US parts companies. Luckily I'm building a 4.0L Jeep engine and everything is available from 100% USA companies ?????? Gonna be a Made in America ??????
YES^ I think it's all shutting down, and the sheeple just don't notice. supplies are dwindling, and I'm sure most of them don't have a back up plan:(
We've got over 500 pounds of meat in the deep freeze, 40 longhorns roaming the pastures, wild hogs too numerous to count, deer everywhere, and huge gardens. Bring it on. We live for social distancing and haven't changed a thing in decades..just keeping that family tradition of being prepared to feed those who deserve to survive.
I hope you have what you need to defend yourselves. When the cities fall.... They "have nots" will flee to the "haves" .
No inexpensive women's sandals at Walmart. A few Chinese plastic / foam ones, but shelves have been 90% empty since spring
We've noticed Wally World is no longer stocking several things we buy on a regular basis.
Haven't noticed other than a chicken wing shortage.
Me too? Which begs the question - where did they all go?? Plenty of thighs, breasts and legs.
It’s a conundrum.
You cannot get the fajita meat here. Been months since we have been able to get any.
I have even seen this for certain products at wally world. I also have attempted to get a power cord for a tool and 3 months in and the mfr (city in WI) still has not delivered.
Went to buy a new car yesterday but would have to wait til at least august for the shipment. One of the largest area dealers and an almost empty lot and empty showroom.
I was told by the garage door repair guy (who was the owner of the company) that metal is in high demand and hard to get. Just to get garage door wheels has become an issue for him (as he replaced ours). And just had the plumber here (we got one of those maintenance packages with local company for AC, plumbing & electrical. So the plumbers came out this morning we asked how much they’d charge to put in a new water heater (60 gallon) and their estimate because he said with the issues getting metal they increased the price by $100, estimate was $1164., and that was with a 15% discount because of our maintenance package. And of course we all know the price of lumber has skyrocket. And we still need to replace one side of fence in backyard, but with hurricane season on us (live in the south, and were hit directly last year, reason why we need to replace a barely standing fence) I’m wondering if we should wait till the season is over. The new neighbors next door fixing to move in don’t have any dogs (yet anyway) though we have two big ones, it’s not that big of a deal at the moment. ?
Pallet wood works well if you are more form over function.
Yes, great idea, my friend has done that. However we need at least a 6 foot tall fence, we have big dogs, one that's a great dane and another that is a 100 lb pit mix that can jump. So a short fence would be nothing for him to go over. He'd be next door playing with the kids whether they wanted him there or not, lol.
YES!
My dad called two weeks ago and told me the shelves were missing a lot of food and I told him all the produce we've been getting has been shitty. Like we have to eat the produce the same day we buy it or else it goes bad. We've been talking about supply chain hiccups for weeks now. Also the price of meat has gone up at least $1-2 per pound.
I've noticed the food going bad fast as well! I thought maybe it was just a local issue, so it's good to know that it is more than just a bad delivery on my side of town.
I'm in WA. Just had to complain about another shipment today. They even sent less meat than I ordered.
Many out there have already started preparing for this, so for those of you who are now looking at prepping, don't forget about pet food! Easily overlooked!
this is also where MAGA could work really well to counter/limit these types of issues.
Similar puzzler: Nationwide shortage on toploaders since the scamdemic began.
Ordered a case in January from a major supplier and they are back ordered until December 2022.
What are they making with all that acid free plastic?
Also noticed a trend where it was near impossible to find 90% isopropyl alcohol until a few months ago. Only thing available for the past year was diluted 70% iso alc.
That one is easier to reconcile, possibly a shortage due to the shift into hand sanitizer production. Still odd though either way.
I ordered a regular GE refrigerator on Feb. 11. Still not in.
Wow I just left a store 30 minutes ago and the girl working was complaining that they had only received half of the supplies ordered. Said they made the order 3 months ago.
They will most likely say it's because of the covid shutdowns, then when reopened business no one wants to work because of the government handouts.
My local stores have been OK, for the most part. But I was talking to a guy at a place that makes street tacos while buying lunch, and he said that prices have gone way up for the items they get. So, they had to raise prices. And that in the restaurant deliveries some of them have been about 1/2 of what was ordered, though some items aren't even available.
Yes, yesterday (Monday) at the local SamsClub, many of the shelves had empty spots, but I put it down to items selling well, but when I got to the fresh food section, it was obvious. Lot of empty places, and much less variety. Also, tried to get gas, and every line was about 5 cars deep, and taking so long... figured the gas was running very slowly based on how long each car sat there. So went a few miles north to my local Murphy gas station and every pump had a plastic bag on it, and the store area was dark and closed! None of this is normal for Alabama. Something is definitely going on. A few weeks ago, I heard a couple of Lowes employees talking about how they were very understaffed, and it was very hard to get workers, because people were making more staying home drawing their pennies. They would be stupid to give that up and go work for less money! I'll be so happy when this "communist administration" is shown the door (to Gitmo).
Local Walmart yesterday was low on fresh vegetables, but they had plenty of cookies. Something wrong there.
They had 5 lb. rolls of 80% ground beef for $3.19 a pound. I bought all they had. The freezer is full today. No room for anything else.
Stock up while things are still available.
I never ran out of TP.
I never ran out of gasoline.
I won't run out of food either.
Walmart can goods are empty for the most part, as of last Thursday. The other grocer in town seems pretty stocked up last we were in there 2 weeks ago but it could be different now.
I own a sign shop and am having a hard time getting vinyl, both for printing and just solid colors. Sometimes my supplier has to check nationwide inventory to find what I need, which adds to my lead time. Very frustrating.
Definitely worth checking out Ice Age Farmer’s analysis on the food and supply chain issues going down in the USA and world wide. https://www.bitchute.com/channel/jIzcTzKPOws2/
Supply chain issues. This is a regular occurrence in communist and third world nations.
Halt all international food shipments.
I live in Montana and work at a restaurant/bar- we are having a hard time getting a lot of our normal items (sour cream, avocados, jalapeños, cheese dip, even Corona) and when we do receive some things they are an off brand from normal- this has NEVER happened especially in so many unrelated items!
Not here everything still full.
