This has to be just about as far as this can be allowed to go. If we go one or two steps further on this path, there won't be a country left to pull back from the precipice.
If the intent was to break up the union, this is definitely the correct path to pursue. Thing is, I don't recall reading anything suggesting that was the intention or goal from the white hats.

No, the precipice is not a mild discomfort or inconvenience, the precipice is that moment just before ALL IS LOST. Right now there is an empty gun to your head, when it’s a loaded gun to your head, that’s the precipice. Simply reaching the precipice will not magically correct everything. It’s the action you take at the precipice that determines the outcome. You can do nothing and you will definitely die, or you can do something and possibly live.
I get what you are saying but there are many many GOOD people that have the loaded gun to their head already... what do you tell them? Not everyone is where you are. Just remember that. 5-6% lost forever... is that them or us... People on here go through cycles of dooming and hopium. The more cycles you go through the closer you are to the break. But remember, good people are losing everything each day while we see the corrupt still with everything. What happens when this breaks, when the USD is worth nothing. Everyone will lose everything. This is what people at their precipice see. Moments from having nothing. I still have faith in the plan and that good will prevail. But I do not look down or tell people this is only mild because from their perspective it could be the literal last straw before they have nothing left.

Sorry some took offense to my use of “mild discomfort”. I offered my generic response to the original, very generic, question. Are we at the precipice yet? There were no conditions or examples of unfavorable circumstances of some “good” people. Simple question, simple response. If you found something to be offended, you would have found it no matter my choice of words. The precipice is unique to the individual, and their response is unique as well. Nothing you say or do will change the way someone else responds or reacts to extreme duress.
Every few days it seems like the precipice is new.. it's difficult to say.
Maybe we're realizing that we have a ways to go.
I'd definitely say we're there when they come for us in force.
Yeah it always feels like it can't get worse and then it gets worse, but in a very small way.

There are already people who don't have those things in my family. It is their breaking point. How far up the food chain is enough then? Does it have to reach the above average income Americans before it becomes important enough to do something? Or are our average Americans losing their livelihoods enough? Maybe we just wait until the measurably wealthy start losing the vacation homes. We're breaking now. Majority of people have lost something, or know individuals who have lost. I can't afford to take care of my entire family without losing out myself. And with today's announcements, I doubt I'll have a job after oct 31.

Two brothers have lost their jobs. I send money to them to help, but they're lining up for free food from food banks. Both have lost their homes, and at least one is now riding a bicycle. So yeah, they are without. On is 59, the other is 60. So finding gainful employment is currently not an option. With today's announcements, they have even less opportunities.
Considering I am a contractor and understand that world and they are about to force vaccinate I would say its the precipice. Why? Because all military support is from contractors so if you lose 20% of them you will literally hollow out military capabilities and support. The ramifications will be huge.

Whatever line in the sand we might draw and say "there's no way they'd do it." given enough time and enough enablers, someone will try it. We've seen it before. Read the history of the Soviet Union, for example during the defense of Stalingrad. Times were so desperate, there was really nothing the Soviet government wouldn't have done, and the German government was in the same place. We saw mass rapes, literal executions of prisoners of war and even civilians. Any manner of human cruelty happened.
