I know that was a miraculous day fren! You witnessed Christs power, in an instant, do what most never thought possible....and it will be done for this as well.
The routers themselves have been edited and changed causing the DNS issues. This change was done internally.
The security system they use for card authentication is connected to these systems. That is why the cards don't work.
The sys-admins that can fix the problem can't get physical access to the system as a result, and they don't know who to talk to to get past the physical barriers to the high level security systems to do so.
I wish. But it doesn't require a platoon of soldiers to bring down any of these resources. Just one guy, gal, or AI with the right access with the right scripts.
I was following this thread on Reddit for a long time because it was becoming the main place anyone could find anywhere to talk about what might be going on. Then tech guys started talking about what might have really caused this, how it looks really weird and things don't really add up...not even Q stuff, just normie confusion. Then Reddit mods lock the thread and go "alright, no more discussion". Now they're trying to block discussion in any other threads and people are starting to question why they're blocking discussion of it and banning people that try to talk about it. I need more popcorn.
This whole post on Reddit could also just be damage control. Have some tech insider “leak” what is happening and get the Internet running on that information as the super duper truth because it came from an insider. So not only is the official public press release under their control as one narrative, but then they also go to Reddit to release their official counter narrative about what is REALLY going on. This distracts both the normies and the anons and any discussion of alternative theories doesn’t gain ground.
Meh we're all so rich we all just decided to retire. Entire company. From Zuckbot all the way down to the peasants that live like sardines to join 'the family'
Wow.... I think we're onto something;
I get a 403 denied error when trying to visit the link, AND chrome threw a "this site could be dangerous" warning - obviously archive.is is a reputable & perfect safe site; the silicon nazis are trying hard to quash that site.......
OP: can you post a screencap of what you saw??
Friendly reminder to everyone;
No matter how big / popular (or small and easily hidden) you think a website, post, etc. is; SCREENSHOT, DOWNLOAD, SAVE, ETC!!!
Censorship is BAD and it is VERY REAL TODAY!!!
I hope someone got a screencap of the post in question!
Maybe for a piss poor SME or tier2 provider, but not facebook.
Since when could an admin not remote connect via oob. This means the devices have been blocked for oob, so the only people with access are the DC staff themselves, who don't have the knowledge (that part is correct).
I bet that when they finally get an admin to site that all the console passwords have been changed.
If it were me, I'd have uploaded a borked IOS update so that when they rebooted to perform a pwd recovery it would brick the router :)
Update 1440 UTC:
As many of you know, DNS for FB services has been affected and this is likely a symptom of the actual issue, and that's that BGP peering with Facebook peering routers has gone down, very likely due to a configuration change that went into effect shortly before the outages happened (started roughly 1540 UTC).
There are people now trying to gain access to the peering routers to implement fixes, but the people with physical access is separate from the people with knowledge of how to actually authenticate to the systems and people who know what to actually do, so there is now a logistical challenge with getting all that knowledge unified.
Part of this is also due to lower staffing in data centers due to pandemic measures.
What's it say? I can't hit archives from home, site can't be reached. Wouldn't think it's FIOS, but I also wouldn't think it's my router as I've configured nothing other than wifi on it.
I don't buy the "explnation" of the redditor, the post came across more like a contrived explanation that sounds right to non-IT people. EVERY place I have worked it, including smaller places had some sort of out of band network to connect to hardware on the IP network in the event something happened. I find the credibility highly dubious to be quite honest. For example, a financial place I worked for, every single network engineer had access to the routers/switches in the data center. If FB has segregation where network engineers require a sysadmin to unlock the access to hardware, there is something more going on to require that level of security. Getting past the man trap, pin keypad, and retina scan is one thing, it's not like you haven't been logged 3 times in 3 places getting into the data center, requiring a baby sitter to access routers is a whole different level of paranoid.
Also before anyone says the BGP messed up the DNS that is why the doors/security didn't work. What happened to the the interior network DNS, you are going to tell me they didn't architect the external and internal separately?
I suspect in reality this was an announcement to FB and others. Keep eyes open.
We prayed for 21 days...
Amen🙏
Hell yes we did!!!
I've been praying for 60 years! But God always answers!
Blessings this comes to fruition...🙏
Saw my dad get saved and accept Christ and quit drinking after 25 yrs of prayer
I know that was a miraculous day fren! You witnessed Christs power, in an instant, do what most never thought possible....and it will be done for this as well.
Blessings....
God does answer. I’m telling you.. have patience. he does. Always. I’ve been through some stuff and I beg you, HANG ON!!!!
I know fren... I'm one of the poster children for God here...faith, patience and prayer....humility before honor. God wins...this I'm 100% certain of.
Blessings for your compassion and encouragement...
Has it been 21 days already?
TLDR:

Or maybe there is an entire platoon of soldiers smashing all the routers to little bits as we speak. I like my version better.
Wiped? Like with a cloth?
I wish. But it doesn't require a platoon of soldiers to bring down any of these resources. Just one guy, gal, or AI with the right access with the right scripts.
I was just gonna ask if FB flipped the switch on SkyNet and it nuked em.

Dammit arnold is a faggot.
Arnold was a terminator. We tend to forget that.
Terminators were an army of NPCs.
Scwew yeh fweedums
when you put it like that, it's much scarier

I also like your version. If the demon that is FB dies today I will be very happy.
hehe never gets old
On the surface, a company finally suffers from its own lack of useful customer support… no sympathy from me. Leave it down forever.
Sounds like how government operates.
I work in the private sector. You have no idea how many people make 6 figures or more who are completely incompetent.
Ahh the Peter Principle holds!
Such is the tech sector. Buncha absolute morons who each do one thing really well.
Yeah I’m amazed at how much my strategy of “trying the slightest bit from time to time” stands out
Makes you wonder how they got there.
All these routers have hard coded console passwords that admins should be able to remotely connect to via out of band.
The fact they can't says a lot.
This is hilarious. As a long time unix admin this is my nightmare. Couldn't happen to a better bunch of losers.

Screenshot this, archive, and post as a separate item. This is also big.

Love the first comment by a user name dark fall. " Please leave it down for the sake of humanity "
I 100% agree with him
There are a lot of good comments, and some great comments.
That however might well be the greatest comment of all time.
Oh wow - he nuked his own account.
That means this isn’t to be taken as a normal non malicious outage - the only explanation for them to shut him up.
Not really. Facebook is currently spinning this to the media as an issue they are working on.
We do know whatever change happened came from the inside. That does not mean it is not beyond the scope of malicious attack.
As if there were any other possible scenario of them not working on it lol
Like wut lol.
Yes, they're bullshitting hacks, errors, password theft. MSM is shitting its pants.
Did they check the network cable is plugged in?
Or turn off the system, wait a few mins and reboot?
Are they on the phone to some tech guy in India?
Phupinder is hard at work on the designated street fixing things.
Maybe they didn't plug it in the WAN port

That's standard. There are no records on the net to say this site exists anymore, so Chrome no longer whitelists the site.
Zukaburg nefing all of facebooks secret "pay to play" child porn pages.
Today we learned that Hunter can surf Fakebook cp so quickly that he can destroy the internet.
The explanation in the link doesn't hold water.

What did Flynn just say???
The 'SHOT' heard around the world???
That's the Q gun folks.
Dark to light is the bullet.
Did MZ shit sites just come under white hat control???
Can we now post TRUTH without being banned????
Test....
So the tech person (ramenporn, on the recovery/investigation team) says down in the comments further shares a reddit link ...

"Did you try turning it off and on again?" that's funny right there. That's what I always do at least twice before calling our help desk, always.

FB employees were also locked out of the buildings:

Theres no way someone on the response team is posting on message boards. I work IT and am familiar with disaster recovery procedures.
