Preface: I didn't believe in it. I thought I was being scientific and basing my opinion on well researched medical facts. I was wrong.
Starting with the forced vaccination campaigns is when I started to distrust the medical industry. I was ignorant about herbal medicine and I thought it was a bunch of ineffective wives tails and confirmation bias. I thought "Of course you got better, you just had to wait, but now you think your cream healed you because you put it on and didn't die while you healed like normal"
Holy hell was I wrong.
So it turns out that your doctor is still pretty damn good resource, however, like most people, he's also completely ignorant about pharmacy.
Ever hear of these plants?:
- Comfrey, also known as knit-bone
- Horsetail
- Yarrow
- Plantain
- St. John's Wort
- Lungwort
- Stinging Nettle
- thistle
I heard the names of some, I even read about some, but fuck me this stuff belongs in every single yard in existence.
Comfrey had been used as medicine for over 2000 years. Know what it does? The Roman army certainly did.
So it turns out that it's called knit-bone for a reason. It contains allantoin and rosmarinic acid. It's the most powerful healing thing I have ever read about in my entire life. 2000 years of observational evidence backed by dozens of of double blind, multicenter, randomised control trials.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3491633/
Literally the gold standard of science. Grow this fucking plant. The FDA desperately doesn't want you to have it despite the medical evidence and had been trying to scare people away from using it because if you abuse it you could hurt your liver.... Sounds like most medicines to me.
Horsetail is nutritious and will stop you from bleeding out in an emergency.
Pharmaceutical grade bleed stop, like what you get for your dog to stop their mail bleeding if you accidentally cut into the quick, is made out of yarrow. It's a traditional remedy, dried and powdered yarrow will stop the bleeding and help block infection because it's also antibacterial. WTF, why isn't it in the camping section at Wal-mart?
Plantain is anti-bacterial, anti-septic and anti-fungal. It's so effective you don't need it to be sterile to work and keep your wound clean. You can chew the stuff into a poultice to put on your wound from your dirty ass mouth and it still works.
St. John's Wort will relieve anxiety, depression, insomnia and psychosis. It's undisputed and medically accepted. It just has a lot of drug interactions.
Lungwort is great medicine when you are sick and congested. As the name suggests, it helps your breathing and lungs. My two daughters were sick, my wife decided to test it on them. It worked just like our herbal medicine books said it would.
Singing nettle is extremely nutritious and will help you get a good night's sleep for real if you make a tea with the fresh stuff. Just be prepared to either have extremely vivid dreams and/or lucid dreams.
Thistle: you're not ready to hear this lol. You should grow Thistles on purpose in your own yard...on purpose, like intentionally, without planning on getting rid of it....for real...
There are a lot of things that we eat and a lot of waste metabolites that are fat soluble. Or modern life is placed with herbacides and pesticides as well, some of those are also fat soluble. Lots of us have abused our livers as well.
Guess what? Thistle forces that shit out of your fat and into your blood, simulated your liver, improves liver function and helps you get all that shit out.
Are you unallergic to certain foods, but "break out" when you eat them or get joint issues? That's because your liver sucks. Go eat some thistle, especially the roots. The stalk can be cleaned up with a vegetable peeler, its like celery, the roots are where most of the good stuff is though.
There's more plants and more proven effects of them.
Most of them you were misguided to think of as weeds or poison.
God is trying to take care of us.
Oregano Oil is napalm to fungus. I'll let you guys in on what's been making rounds on 4chan's /x/ last couple weeks: https://www.docdroid.net/UXkRhZh/cdf-pdf
I am saving this. I have taken NAC for almost a year and have seen nothing but good results. (Weight loss, lower BP and blood sugar). I take Back Seed periodically but I will be more conscientious about that. And Oregano oil is fairly cheap. I am going to definitely try this protocol...I really think all my kids (and husband) suffer fungal compromise. I am going to order more NAC as I really don't want to be without. Thanks for the article.
My personal experience 10 days in:
Feels as if I'm on "keto" 24/7, that is, my energy levels are incredibly stable. No crash in the afternoon, no matter what junk I eat. Zero desire to drink beer. Honestly zero desire to drink anything but water, I force myself to drink a soda in the afternoon to simply prevent caffeine withdrawal. Drove in a bad storm earlier this week (fallen branches blocking roads etc), and did not feel anxiety.
My brother's on the protocol as well, his acne he's had for 15+ years has fallen off.
Oregano oil or NAC
Wtaf
Woah! Really? That's amazing.
Thanks for that will give it a look.
If you use PURE oregano oil be careful with it because it is very powerful. If you want rapid, powerful results try it. I've used it quite a bit and recommend it as an antifungal.
You can use oregano oil neet (undiluted) on your feet. Children can actually tolerate it on their feet. It is a hot oil and is normally diluted in a 4:1 ratio with a carrier oil to use topically. That is 1 drop oregano to 4 drops carrier oil. It is a very potent, powerful oil. If you ever get it in you eye do not wash it out with water...rather add an oil (like olive) to your eye to dilute it (from experience). This is why you don't touch your face after you apply. My daughter and I do Young Living's Raindrop Massage on each other and it incorporates oregano. You use it on your feet and then up and down your spine along with Valor, thyme, basil, cypress, peppermint, wintergreen, aroma siez and marjoram and it is wonderful. I have taken it internally in some capsule blends and it is certainly powerful. Again knowledge is essential in using EO's as I am sure you are aware. Definitely one of the top oils! Thanks for sharing.
100 percent
I am living proof that you can heal yourself from very serious diseases using holistic strategies. I was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease in 2014. I was told by doctors that I had a 93% chance of losing my kidneys "any day now." I did a lot of different things to heal myself: fasting, food sensitivity testing, acupuncture, supplements, a radical diet change (I had been a "healthy eater" per the American Medical Association guidelines," and I did "unapproved" things like switching from polyunsaturated to saturated fats, cutting out grains, etc), and much more. But I did get dramatic results quickly. In just a couple of months I went from literally on the verge of kidney failure to "very sick." I actually would have gotten slower results using the Big Pharma drugs, and the Big Pharma drugs had HEINOUS side effects.
"You need to listen to your body more than your doctor."
This should be written on bus stops. It is absolutely true.
They need to be a consistent part of the diet. I drink quinine slmost daily in a refreshing drink with lime.
Yes....People need to understand you don't take a comfry pill when your bones need it...or turmeric when you have inflation...It needs to be in your system..turmeric for example effects after 30 days....
Read those studies again, they use comfrey as an acute topical treatment
It's aldo good to take biopretine, an extract of black pepper, with tumeric, it makes it much more absorbable. Another great way to consume tumeric, if not through a supplement or in curries, is golden tea. You can get it pre-mixed as a powder and add milk, but I make my own with milk powder, cardamom, cinnamon, and a little black pepper and sometimes stevia or add honey after adding adding boiled water.
I've studying and practicing holistic, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for decades.
Damn, comfrey for Bidenflation!
Comfrey works as a salve too.
Big med is good for emergency medicine. I had heart inflammation and it was caught pretty early in the cath lab at the hospital. This was November 2019, and I had the inflammation from food poisoning.
Fuck Carl's Jr. If I had the choice between eating their food again or going hungry for the day, I'd rather go hungry.
All I can say is this: I developed kidney disease last year, probably because of all the MRI dye and ibuprofen I was taking because of a painful tumor that filled my spinal canal. So, I found a program on line, and they recommended a tea made from marshmallow root, lavender flowers, stinging nettle leaves and couch root. I bought all of these and made the tea and drank it every day for a couple of months. I went back to my kidney doctor, who had me at a GFR of 44 (40 is dialysis), and he said, Now your GFR is up to 54! I was ecstatic. I went back home and for another two months took the tea, returned, and now my GFR was 60! Normal! I asked what would be the optimum number and he said, "90", but you're too old to get there. I'm still drinking the tea, and will return in October. Maybe I'll be closer to 90, but in any case, no more kidney disease. This is herbal medicine
I am glad you shared this. My husband has low kidney function and I will see if he wants to try this.
Good for you! Sounds like you'll get there!
Do you have that tea recipe? I have a friend with kidney failure and he’s so depressed. He’s on dialysis now
Shit, too bad this site wasn't around when my dad was alive, not that he would have tried any of this for his kidneys, or heart, or skin disease, or stroke, or anything really.
Let's not forget colloidal silver. A natural antiseptic and antibiotic. There's a reason the elite have real silver cutlery and serving plates. I've been using natural remedies and herbs for years, but was not aware of many on that list. Thanks for the info.
I can cure very painful toothaches in 24 hours with colloidal silver "plus," a product I found at Wild Roots in commieforney that contains also oregano oil and shit I can't remember the other one. Will edit. Edit: olive leaf extract
I have a silverlungs generator. I make my own colloidal...treat children pink eye. ear infections. anything bacterial related...and Ive seen some viral effects for the positive regarding cold sores.
Silver added to saline nasal spray is effective against sinus infections.
Or iodine.
This reminds me that breastmilk can be used in the same way in a pinch (eyes, ears). I make my own Coiiloidal Silver also and sprayed it on my husband's shingles and it helped to heal (with other EO's.)
( . Y . )
It took me a minute...haha!. Sometimes you just gotta make do.
Some of these are in video games and they make health potions..
Yep, and kinda makes you think they did so e research before chosing the plants they did in some games.
Pomegranate juice in the right amounts can help vision problems and functions as natural viagra, but even one cup a day lowers blood pressure and cleans the arteries
Some bro will walk in saying "that's just sugar water" and die young with his abs
Make sure pomegranate juice is just that..not from concentrate. I drink a bottle a week..not cheap but powerful artery cleaner as pointed out
It is pricey, 32oz $5-6 bare minimum. Langers all Pom is still not from concentrate includes the aril and the rind. Nothing tastes as good as the cold pressed arils though
Yes! The major brand in stores isn’t a good source. POM taste great but full of sugar.
For those interested in learning more about herbal medicine, I strongly recommend the books of Rosemary Gladstar.
I've cured most issues at home with herbs for years. For example - D-Mannose (a sugar extracted from cranberries) can cure most UTIs that big Pharma will put you on antibiotics for (which of course then wipe out your good bacteria which in turn makes you MORE likely to get another UTI. D-Mannose is a sugar and is easily metabolized. You can't OD because you just pee out what you can't process.
Thanks...I always used cranberry capsules and lots of water. I will remember this. Cantharis is a great homeopathc for UTI...very effective. This is actually what kills a lot of seniors late in life...the inability to overcome minor infections. My daughter is a hospice social worker and always goes on about warning us how critical this can be.
Yes! D-Mannose is amazing!! Works fast to clear UTI's.
Especially those caused by e-coli.
Cannabis plant be like yo don't "forget" about me
Helps those with post-traumatic stress injury (PTSI) from war, rape, or other trauma to "forget" being triggered into a stress response by certain everyday stimuli
Also helps with several dozen other ailments
No wonder Big Pharma wants it kept illegal
They are out to kill us, but only slowly—so they can make billion$ off us before we eventually croak
Cannabis helps me forget about how fucked up the Country is
Anxiety release is definitely a huge benefit.
We humans were never designed to know about all the evil going on in the world at once - it's way too much for our psyche to handle and a credit to the resilience of the species that so many are finding ways to deal with it.
You are SPOT ON.
In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue....with hemp sails, hemp rope, hemp clothing,. and a drum of hemp seeds in case they were shipwrecked.
Hemp doesn't contain THC unfortunately.... However it has other goodies like CBD
The legal terminology of
hemp = < .05% delta 9 THC
is actually kinda stupid.
In actuality. The fibrous stalk of every Cannabis plant is the hemp.
The dried flower buds of specifically female plants is what you 420blazeit. Those flowers can have differing amounts of all the various cannabinoids including THC and CBD, every strain is different.
I don't know what people mean when they talk about hemp, do they mean sativa, ruderales or indica?
The type that is grown for industrial uses is sativa, there is no such plant as hemp. If anyone can tell me its botanical name I would appreciate it.
The stalk of the plant (sativa, ruderales, AND indica) is what is used for industry. That's the fiberous woody material, traditionally referred to as hemp. It's strong like oak but light like balsa wood. Sativa plants grow taller so there's more hemp to be harvested, but they also take longer to grow than indica.
In legal terms though hemp means any plant with less than .05% delta 9 THC. And that includes all parts of the plant.
So again to re-iterate. Actual english words: hemp is the "wood" form the cannabis plant. The fibrous stalk.
In stupid legalese that doesn't really make sense: Hemp is any part of any cannabis plant with less than .05% delta 9 THC.
Its the shiv then, the inner core of the plant. Thanks for clearing that up for me, I hear a lot of experts talking about hemp as if it was a different species, why don't they tell is what it really is?
Yea I was just pointing out the usefulness above and beyond medicine.
I have used EFT or tapping with good success for pain and it is useful for PTSD. Very easy to use when you lean how to use it.
I don't understand Emotional Freedom Technique but I tried it once and it worked for back pain
I don't go for the "I accept myself" affirmations because I wasn't rejecting myself to begin with...that wasn't the problem
Regular positive affirmations too often equate to LYING: saying this positive thing that you know isn't true but by saying it over and over you're supposed to make yourself believe it is true. So all the gurus say to state your affirmations as if you already have whatever it is you want.
The workaround I learned from one EFT vid was instead to say "I now CHOOSE to..." etc. It's an affirmations game changer.
I now choose to feel happy and free of pain, I now choose to do things on time instead of procrastinate, etc. Because in that moment, it's TRUE: I AM choosing that. It doesn't make my brain react with "Quit lying to yourself; you know you aren't already free of pain, in that new job, new relationship, etc."
I know what you mean. There actually is Christian EFT. Self acceptance may not be a problem with you but I really believe so many of us are our own worst enemies. I think essentially what you say, think and feel can affect you positively or negatively. This is why we are to put on the mind of Christ and meditate on the Word of God. As you proved, EFT works even with modifications because I believe it works on the same principal as reflexology and acupuncture. We have pathways that connect that we know about (nerves/acupuncture) and other pathways that we can't quantify but still works (?/reflexology). An example is when you do foot reflexology very often you feel pain in whatever the point you are massaging in the actual organ or site. You also know it's a pathway because as you massage a spot crystals (that you can feel) disappear leading to healing that pathway. We are so wonderfully made I am just constantly amazed at God's creation. But I am not into all the New Age junk and I certainly am not into "name it claim it theology".
I had some acupuncture treatments for the first time and I do believe they were helpful overall. EFT is really just one more therapy in the natural healing arsenal I like to use. The greatest success with EFT has been some of the children in Africa who were traumatized when their families were killed during some of the extermination wars between tribes. It really has a very solid basis and use. Very much like...prayer changes things. What exactly is the power of prayer? And yet it is so very powerful because it is the essence of who God is and what He does. It is ALL Him...all healing, always. Looking forward to no more tears or sorrows.
Kill the Guru
No doubt,m I've proven that myself. Slows the reaction to the stimulus even let's me sort of circle the issue from the outside and set it in place mentally.
I've said it before and I'll say it again:
Medical doctors have lost so much credibility that if a witch doctor handed me some herbs, I'd have more trust in that than any pill an MD would give me.
anti cancer herb: atralagus, as it promotes the making of P53 cancer destroyer enzymes
AND
it is needed for DNA repair. (think reversal therapy after being spiked!(vaxxed))
I have been treating myself for three decades with herbal meds. Astragalus, goldenseal, garlic capsules, tea tree oil, devils claw, arnica, valerian root, bentonite clay, and now cbd cream for nerve pain.
I've had nothing but great results since I found Https://bulknaturalswholesale.com
So much good stuff.
Try comfrey salve, from what I read, it's supposed to fix it rather than manage it. Let me know if it works.
Thank you for this...you accidentally helped someone more immensely than you know.
Works on dogs too. Just dont let them lick it.
I am glad you opened your eyes to the beneficial use of herbs. I enjoyed the article on comfrey. I have great respect for the German Commission which has brought great natual healing protocols to the world. Planting these different plants would be a great resource. I have used herbs in all capacities with great success but I have never grown anything but mint and Aloe. If you purchase herbs make sure you buy standardized preparations so you are guaranteed a proper, consistent percent of active ingredient.
I have been using herbs in my natural healing alternative protocols for over 45 years with great success. For people who like to buy herbal teas I recommend Traditional Medicinals which has a wonderful assortment that are very beneficial. I also keep echinacea/goldenseal on hand and take at the first sign of any illness. It is available in liquid for children. Echinacea boosts your immunity and goldenseal dries up mucous. I have used St. John's Wort with great success for depression. I have several great reference books and you can pick up many great resources at resale shops and used books stores. There are too many good authors to mention.
Symphytum Officinalis is the homeopathic preparation of comfrey. These are very easy to keep on hand and have the same benefits as the herbs since that is where it is derived from. There are certain homeopathics that are must haves such as Arnica (injuries), Apis (stings), Rhus Tox (poison ivy), Oscillicocinum (flu), Ipecac (throwing up and pneumonia) and SO many others for colds, etc. You can buy basic kits that contain 30 of the most common homeopathics. Also, Scheussler's Cell Salts are a great benefit. I have a materia Medica as one of my resources but Dana Ullman has wonderful books on how to use homeopathics. There are many others.
And then there are Essential Oils that are also derived from plants. I successfully use these in many cases of dis-ease. Right now I have vertigo and I use VertigoX (EO) with great success. When the bottle is empty I will make my own blend. I make many blends, creams and capsules suggested by Scott Johnson, who has excllent resources books for EO's.
All are very useful and have their place. Each modality is a complete study and discipline to learn what to use, when to use, how to use, safety precautions, storage etc. I have spent almost 50 years learning to use many of these different modalities as I raised 5 children. I will also add that you should be aware of foot reflexology which is super easy to use and accupressre points and a zapper. I like Michael Murray and James or Phyllis Balch's books for reference. I pretty much feel prepared to take on anything. I also make my own colloidal silver and there are a couple more modalities I need to learn that have been suggested here. I also have made and I use ear candles, which are great.
Natural healing becomes second nature after you learn the basic principles. I have a lot invested in alternative healing but we spent very little on doctors and only had very few hospital/emergency room visits. I always tackled one condition at a time and learned how to successfully treat. On occasion I might go to the doctor to get a disgnosis if I was stumped and then come home and treat naturally. For example I never took my kids to the doctor for earaches. I always used garlic which was peeled, then softened in water in the microwave and placed in the ear for 24 hours. The kids looked funny with cotton taped to their ears but it always worked. Mullein oil also works. I also always used several healing modalities together to get maximum synergy or healing effect. To me this was a fun challenge and many times I really just had to trust God for the knowledge I needed and he never let me down. Knowledge is power.
Where is a good place to buy homeopathic remedies from?
Well, some of the kits are online. Swanson, GNC, Wal-mart or Vitamin Shoppe sell single remedies. Swanson used to sell a kit. Just type a search into the computer for homeopathies or homeopathic kits. The strength remedy should probable be 30X or 30C for a single remedies kit. There are many blends available from all vitamin stores so you can shop according to ailment although homeopathics are about identifying a symptom picture and treating a symptom with a single remedy rather than treating a specific "illness". There is some variance on using a single remedy or blend.
If you plan to get a book and study the use of single remedies I would certainly buy a kit. If you just want to start treating certain conditions homeopathically then I would buy some blends. I have many liquid blends that I have from Natra-Bio that I refill when they get low with a 20% grain alcohol mixture in spring water. I also have used Boiron, Helios, Kings, Standard Homeopathies, Similia, Newton, Bach (Flower Remedies/Rescue Remedy. I actually even ordered some from India for some of the rarer remedies. There are some good online sites and teachers that even do classes. I was introduced to homeopathics in 1980 when I made my own initial homeopathy kit from someone who had acquired someone's collection of mother tinctures. The knowledge of homeopathics has served me well in the past 40 years. I do believe Dana Ullman's books are the best beginner resources. It is a VERY interesting study!!! Good luck and Godspeed.
Just gonna say- I desperately want to be you. I’ve got some reference books and just need to start! I found a local apothecary last week!!
A fucking thousand thumbs up. This data will save lives, dollars, sickness and quality of life. This IS part of becoming ungovernable. Thank you.
This is what Rockefeller was trying to destroy with his medical schoo!s.
Great post! Just learned recently about Pau d’arco or taheebo bark tea or capsules, Supposed to be good for a multitude of things: inflammation, UTIs, arthritis, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic, anti-viral, anti-microbial, cancer pain relief, constipation, detox, immune support. Some other things too. Also contains a significant amount of quercetin.
Use this for when Candida tries a takeover!
will do - thanks!
...and we havn't started with mushrooms yet, research Chaga mushroom and then make some Chaga coffee, kept me free of the coof
Mushrooms are fungus though, and we eat them. Whether as part of a meal or recreationally.
Great post, so much more to explore on this. My family has done a deep dive. The further you go the more you find. We are being lied to about a lot of things. Thank you for posting this. My contribution to this thread is japanese knot weed. That invasive plant growing everywhere. Did you know it helps cure lymes, better than antibiotics? Balance bacterial cytokine storms? Massively improves bloodflow?
https://beneficialbotanicals.com/the-role-of-japanese-knotweed-root-in-treating-bartonella-coinfection-of-lyme-disease/
So I dont get yelled at, 😉. Plus its just good practice to post additional info.
Great info...never heard of it but it looks like a great addition to my knowledge of herbs.
We used a Lyme nosode with a naturapath to heal from lyme.
Herbal medicine has made great leaps in the last 100 years, and is suppressed by pharms for $$$$$ reasons. If it is more than a simple home remedies book, they bury it with lawsuits, threats or worse.
Lots of good posts here. Although I will contend that even some more urgent issues can be treated quickly by herbs. YMMV
Stinging nettle can provoke arrhythmias. Careful.
You really have to know dosages, safety precautions and the parameters of EVERYTHING that you use. I thought homeopathics were 100% safe but some babies died from teething tablets that contained too low of a dose of belladonna (3X). It is a brilliant homeopathic but the blending was wrong for babies. Same with oils and herbs. It makes a big difference how much you take and what else you are taking (drug interactions). My husband blacked out when he started on NAC which is incompatible with Verapamil, which he was on. We discontinued the Verapamil. You can also end up in the emergency room with reactions to essential oils. I bought a book on supplement interactions (vitamins, herbs and drugs). I am a stickler for safety because it is so necessary to know what you are doing.
"A-Z Guide to Drug-Herb-Vitamin Interactions"
Edited by Alan R. Gaby, and the Healthnotes Medical Team
Yeah, drug interactions can get dicey.
A poor diet is the cause of most ailments. Stop eating industrial seed oil, sugar, & carbs. You'll be amazed how much better you'll feel!
Willow Bark as well
I've been using home made Willow bark tincture on my bug bites. I live in a boreal swamp. They literally wrote a song about the black flies up hear in Northern Ontario, I live relatively close to the dam project mentioned in the song lol.
Works like a charm. I'm allergic to sand flies and it actually gets rid of the massive ichy plateau those little shits give me.
Basil essential oil relieves the itch. I am highly sensitive to poison ivy, flea or bug bites and have had an anaphylactic reaction to fire ant bites. Rhus Tox homeopathc is for poison oak/ivy. Apis homeopathy is great for stings and the swelling from anaphylaxis. NOW has a Bug Ban spray and oil that works well. I use a lot of basil oil...I can't stand to itch!
I was thinking about planting comfrey and have just started researching it. From what I read it takes awhile to get comfrey to grow and is best started with root or crown cuttings if you don't want to wait a long time to harvest. Here's one website that has it: http://www.coescomfrey.com/grow.html
I like this small company. I haven’t ordered comfrey. I’ve ordered herb seeds.
https://strictlymedicinalseeds.com/?s=Comfrey&post_type=product&title=1&excerpt=1&content=1&categories=1&attributes=1&tags=1&sku=1&ixwps=1
That's what I did. I'm in Canada, so technically it's an invasive perennial. I rescued mine from town land and the one right beside it kept getting run over.
Most of the seeds you can buy are Bock 14 or Bock 4 Russian comfrey which is sterile go for it if you don't mind not getting to save seeds, otherwise you will have to propagate via root cuttings.
Since I didn't see it mentioned - Willow Bark is a mild pain reliever. It contains the same active ingredient as aspirin, except in natural form. I use it probably a half dozen times a year to take the edge off a headache, or if I happen to catch whatever is going around and have fever or something.
I have noted over time that whenever flu (or covid) shots are being given out, I will get a mild case of something within a week or two. Just like clockwork. Since I work at a company with many hundreds of coworkers, the free shots many others get always seems to affect me. I figured that out before Covid. During the covid lockdown, they didn't have all the shedders getting their shots and walking around shedding, and I did Not get so much as a sniffle for almost 2 years. So as far as I'm concerned, the flu shots are the problem, not the solution.
I used to use at John’s wart to stop running thoughts and anxiety so I could sleep. It also helped balance my mood while I was awake. Herbal remedies work and wo a laundry list of side effects.
Pine needle tea is very useful. It can even treat River blindness. Only use Eastern White Pine though because certain pine tree species are toxic.
Cats Claw is very useful but it can have serious side effects. Doesn’t grow in America.
Gallant Soldier is a weed that is probably growing in your yard somewhere right now. It can be used to treat skin rashes like eczema or superficial wounds that are stubborn to heal.
Potato slices for bee stings and insect bites. Just tape it over the sting and it’ll pull the toxins out.
Onion does the same if you tape it to the bottom of your feet before bed. It will pull the toxins from your body. You’ll wake up and the onions will actually be yellow or even black sometimes.
Aloe vera is the most well known one. You can grow the plant yourself but it’s important to keep it healthy. If you break a leaf and the gel inside is a yellow color don’t use it cause it can be toxic. A healthy plant will have clear gel in its leaves.
Garlic is a great antiseptic and anti parasitic.
Cinnamon is beneficial.
Ginger root is a must have.
Turmeric is a superhero and has even been said to have anti-cancer effects.
Mullein leaf is very good for respiratory woes.
I keep notebooks that I jot down in at home on my bookshelves. Recipes for things like Hot Toddies that I’ve modified and stuff. Golden milk is good a couple nights a week. Milk, turmeric, cinnamon, and honey heated up and drank like a tea or hot chocolate
Last August I got diarrhea that nothing would alleviate. Finally went to a naturopath in January and now I don’t have diarrhea, my psoriasis is completely gone, and I sleep 8 hours a night. Not to mention went from 142 to 134 in five months when I could never lose weight before. My skin is so soft and brown spots have faded. And so much energy! I can’t believe how strong I feel. Naturopathy is absolutely the way to go. My place is Progressive Medicine in Dunwoody Georgia. Maybe they can point you to a similar place near you if anyone reading this needs help. Their testing was all-encompassing.
I am in Georgia..will check it out.
Thank you for posting. Is there a book on herbal medicine you would recommend?
Honestly, I would start by buying a high quality field identification guide for plants local to your area. Figure out what you have access to and how to identify it.
My wife and I started our wild food/herbal medicine journey with "the Boreal herbal" but you may find that other books are more relevant to your living area.
Looking for a good one for Florida. Past seven years in Nevada so all my study centered on desert plants there and Arizona. Now i live in the jungle
I believe they have apps on your phone now that can help detect what plant species you are taking a pic of
due diligence warning My wife showed me on our phones, you take a picture of that plant, swipe up and it will identify it for you
I have that too, it just narrows things down for you. You still need the guide to get full positive identification unless there are no lookalikes or the plant has a unique feature.
Thanks! Will do.
Don't forget about iodine, although it's not an herb. They've taken it out of our food supply (and replaced it with bromide which is horrible for us) while our bodies need vast amounts of it to regulate thyroid function. Ever wonder why the rates of hypothydoidism and Hashimoto's disease are skyrocketing?
Also black seed oil and Danshen for blood pressure and cardiovascular health.
They add it into table salt then tell you to cut sodium. Also, other salt doesn't have the issues processed salt does. The 2000 mg limit doesn't pertain to sea salt or Himalayan salt either.
The iodine "added" to salt is a minuscule amount and is effectively dissipated by the time it reaches your table. "Iodized" salt is a marketing gimmick. Sea salt or Himalayan are the only ways to go as they both have the trace minerals we need as well.
Herbal remedies get a bad rap for several reasons. One of them is pathetic dosage recommendations!
If you read the dosage suggestions on the bottle, they are often WAY too low to do any good. I'm not suggesting you up the dose without proper research, because that could cause serious harm. But you should search for others' experiences with the product and find out what worked for them.
For example: A bottle of L-tryptophan comes with instructions to take "one or two" at bedtime to help sleep. Each pill has 220 mg of the active ingredient. Research has shown that a helpful dosage can be between 1 g to 2 g. That's grams, not milligrams! Some people go as high as 4 g, and some have even maxed at 12 g. My wife has to take between 9 and 10 of these (we're looking for a higher-dose version), but they actually work! And she's been hooked on benzodiazepines for years.
Once again, don't just take massive doses of herbal remedies just to see what happens. It can be extremely dangerous. But the right dose can do the trick!
I've had really good luck with ashwaganda for anxiety/stress. However, my mother in law is allergic. So just be careful trying new things.
Also ashwaganda can cause a miscarriage. So does neem oil. I'm sure there are others, so do your research.
Do people not realize most pharmaceuticals come from plants? They find the one thing in the plant that helps, then extract it and concentrate it, and sell it back to you at enormous prices. 🙄
Another Interesting Book is the "Chinese Herbal Medicine, Materia Medica" It shows the Pharmacological and Clinical Research findings on each herb. I have gone through it and tagged the ones that I could grow in my location. For instance, it has Asparagus cochinchinesis which looks exactly like my household Asparagus fern. It states that decoctions of the tubers was shown, in vitro to inhibit pneumonia and strep bacteria. It also states that it had an inhibitory effect against Leukemic cells. I often wonder if this is why this was such a common household plant in Victorian times. I found the book for $2 at a garage sale.
And weed.

This is exactly why I work so hard to share info about essential oils! And even with essential oils you have to be very careful. Someone in the comments mentioned "oregano oil is pretty cheap at the store", but they don't realize that its cheap because it's either synthetic (which your body doesn't know what to do with and cause side effects) or it's diluted.
Essential oils are not regulated and you get what you pay for so make sure you're sure the company you buy from is making 100% pure oils. And there are very few companies who do.
I actually said that oregano is pretty cheap and I meant it in relationship to the price of other oils. I actually use Young Living and some other top brands and I have paid over $100 for 5 ml of some of the more expensive oils. Yes, there is a terrible influx of synthetic (ie. Lavender) or diluted oils, (ie. Frankincense). And on the other hand it does not mean that cheaper oils are cheaply made. There is great profit to be made and multi-levels are higher than others selling oils but you really need to be educated and aware! So good warning overall.
Some of my favorite oil companies are: Plant Therapy - Robert Tisserand, who wrote the definitive book on EO safety helps formulate and consults...reasonble.
Now - reasonable and excellent in house testing.
Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy - Dr. Schnaubelt Ph.D in Aromatherapy.
Healthy Traditions - sells Florihana EO's from France

Since you are into oils you might enjoy books by Dr. Scott Johnson..such as "Evidence-based Essential Oil Thrapy: The Ultimate Guide to the Therapeutic and Clinical Application of Essential Oils." This is a terrific book! There are so many great ones in reality. This is my go to for internal dosing and topical blends and protocol and safety for ALL things essential oils.
Thank you very much for the book recommendations! I've heard of Dr Scott Johnson and will definitely look for that book!

The one that getse isn't the herbs, it's the amino acids. Correct amino acid levels is the key
Excellent information, fren. Cannabis helps a lot as well but its not for everyone and, to some, its not an option.
I'd add dandelion root to the list.
