I've been keeping up with how China's investments and housing system works, and let me tell you, they are all types of fucked.
There is a bank run going on, and banks have used every tactic under the sun to stop people from taking out their money (and the CCP supports them doing it)
The people are outright saying they don't care about their social credit scores and the consequences, if they can't get their money to afford food.
and this is already on top of the hundreds of other scandals currently hitting them (like the fact they have trillions of double printed money to pay for bribes, or the massive amount of buildings with severe foundational problems)
We should all prepare for the fallout from this.
Not to mention our 401k retirement programs are probably connected.
I genuinely worry about all the current and soon-to-be retirees, and the elderly that are barely scraping by on Social Security.
I understand the reason behind, “it had to be this way,” but so so many good, hardworking people will truly suffer 😞
THIS is exactly what worries me right now. We have only been retired for about 4 years, and what little nest egg we had is going down fast. Soc Sec won't sustain us if food prices, medicine, and utilities continue to increase like they are.
I'm planning or at least hoping to retire in 3 years when I can draw ss, but with what's looming, I may have to keep going. Ugh. I really wanted to spend time with grandchildren before they get to teenage years.
My Dad is 63 years old. He's worked since he was a teenager in a really demanding physical job. He's sick, his body has been wrecked, he's exhausted, and all he really wants is to be able to finally relax. He's more than earned it. Literally, he's worked since he was 14 years old. That's insane.
Retirement just isn't an option. It never was, but it especially isn't now. We've been check-to-check all my life, and it's only getting worse.
We're already at the 'sacrificing food for bills stage'. I'm terrified of it getting worse than this. We're going to lose everything.

Many of those affected were lured with out right false advertising, promising them bank accounts that were safe and risk free, some with interest rates as high as 4%.
The reality was that many of them were opened as "investment" accounts, meaning they arent covered by any financial protection laws that covers regular bank accounts.
When people started protesting, all the CCP had to offer was "make sure you read all the terms, research the institution, and make sure you arent opening a false account" even tho for many of these companies, it was impossible to find out this info (or the fact many consumers only used the web side of things)
The CCP has sided with the banks on this, and only recently offered any sort of "compensation", that being around 7k USD, when many had life savings in the 6 figures in these banks.
The CCP is globalist/cabal controlled, it's not organic, so yes, they will attempt to protect the legacy banking system, but they will fail and BRICS will replace the Rothschild debt slavery system. It's already started.

Crypto is at a 2-3 year low. If you were ever going to buy into crypto, now is the time.
Example. In Christmas of 2020 i bought Algo at .31 and Atom/Cosmo at 7-8$. I then unloaded Algo at 1.81 and Atom at 38$.
They are now back down to those prices. And both return 5+ APR just holding them. Even if the price goes up zero, you get 5% apr back. Find me any bank on the planet that will give you that.

Gold and silver are the play. You can hold it in your hand and have something when the power goes out... and take it to any pawn shop anywhere and convert it into whatever currency is en vogue. Crypto is a decent haven if you buy legitimate coins like BTC, ETH, etc. In the stock market you can weather the storm in inverse ETF's like UVIX & UVXY. Both those ETF's measure the volatility of the market (VIX). Currently the VIX is at 23 where is should realistically be much higher with all the stuff going on around the world. I personally do have money in UVIX right now.

The Domestic situation in China seems to be getting more interesting and tenuous. Tanks have started rolling in to protect major Banks. Lots of protests.
Chinese have started massing ground based assets around Southern China near Taiwan. No reported large movement of Naval Assets yet. Whether of the Navy or the Chinese Maritime Militia.
They still lack formal Military Transport Ships. But they have been training in converting ships of their Merchant Fleet and Maritime Militia into Transports and landing ships.
No movement of troops that we know of..

In a free country founded on abundance and prosperity, it's only human nature to acquire and get accustomed to excess. Excess food, excess things, excess everything.
I've found that by cutting back on the amounts of certain foods, buying every item possible only when it's sold as BOGO - buy one, get one free - and reducing consumption of some non-essential things that had gotten excessive, we aren't living a miserable existence or even noticing the inflation debacle. (We both work at home too, so that helps a LOT, with the gas prices being artificially inflated in order to deliberately hurt everyday people.)
Vacations is a big one. Travel is now not only unnecessary and highly over-rated; it is OVER, since one very obviously can no longer safely travel—especially outside the US.
(We are both permanently freeface and freeblood; and not interested in ever being indefinitely imprisoned with no rights in some cramped, sweaty cruise-ship cabin with a malfunctioning toilet or in a nightmarish foreign gulag, thanks anyway—our dogs would miss us too much.)
No longer spending on travel, and associated expenses like clothes and entertainment while on vacation, saves thou$and$ per year. Pays for a lot of dog food!

Not only did I start intermittent fasting and eventually moved onto OMAD (one meal a day), but I also looked into reducing costs and expenditures as much as possible once Biden took office.
I can feed myself very cheaply while eating healthy whole foods. I can put together 1200-1500 calorie meals for as cheap as $2.30-$2.50 that supply everything I need for the day. It helps I can eat the same thing 3-4 days in a row.
Another thing I've done is start taking navy showers. I get wet, turn off the water, soap up, rinse soap off my face, turn off water, and then shampoo and final rinse. I'm clean and I'm out of the shower in less than 10 minutes, with the water running for only maybe 2-4 minutes tops.
By making those individual sacrifices and spending as little as possible on a personal basis, the rest of my family hasn't had to change much of anything.
I turned on the financial news after this news dropped, and not a word about it. It was still non-stop trash opinion pieces about Biden’s “covid diagnosis”.
