On an ant-inflammatory rating some of the best foods like Kale, Spinach have an anti-inflammatory rating of 80-90………cayenne is 1400 on the anti-inflammatory scale!!! I think it has the most healing properties of all natural treatments.
I actually paired peppercorns with a turmeric capsule. I read somewhere that monks took peppercorns and thought I'd give it a try and it was an easy way to take pepper. I also try to add pepper to my food more regularly...but to me the peppercorns are the way to go (it's not cayenne, I realize). I have used capsaicin topically, but never internally, but it sure seems beneficial for so many things. Thanks for this site, BTW...it is a keeper...into the save file. This is such good information to use as a reference guide...These site are so interesting to peruse...just filled with wonderful information.
Try some in warm milk with turmeric and honey, or hot water (not boiling) with honey, turmeric and cider vinegar, not as strong then and quite palatable. But yes, I mainly cap the powder into empty capsules, as I can take more that way and take a capsule with a meal. Hah sometimes your arse can burn a bit when going to the toilet if you take too many in a day.
I studied yoga and it's sister science of Ayurveda. There is very little high blood pressure/ arthritis in India due to their high consumption of tumeric in their diet. Tumeric when combined with a dash of black pepper has the anti-inflammatory properties equal or exceeding that of Ibuprofen. The addition of black pepper increases tumeric's beneficial properties by 2000%
Another way is to make an Indonesian juice called Jamu that is turmeric and ginger based. You can sprinkle some black pepper in to help absorb the turmeric more and can probably throw some cayenne pepper in too. I learned to love it even with the pepper. I miss Indonesia.
I carry liquid cayenne in my purse. There was an article years ago that told of a doctor who would use it when hiking. A dropperful in a cup of water can stop a heart attack was the story line. A comment was that they can't taste it when having a heart attack, so just get them to drink it. I did try it once myself, and it wasn't as nearly as bad as my imagination made it out to be. I drank the whole cup.
Ever read this site? I bookmarked it years ago and often pop in there again to refresh my memory about just what a wonder Cayenne is, especially regarding heart issues. Interesting about the testimonial of the man in hospital who used plain ole supermarket Cayenne (which is irradiated and not very strong) and he still had huge benefit.
I used to get strep throat every year. Sometimes twice a year. I just got a scrip for antibiotics and went on about life. But the last time I got it twice in one year (probably in 2014) I just said screw it and looked for natural remedies for strep and cayenne was one of the top results. I put it in tea with honey and within 4 days, the strep was gone and I've never had it since.
I had a similar experience with tonsillitis once a year like clockwork. Decided to treat it naturally and did things to boost my immune system and boom...don't deal with it anymore.
Blend it up and enjoy! DELICIOUS, incredibly beneficial for general health and wellbeing and definitely has a nice spicy kick!
Been making this for breakfast and lunch for years on and off. LOVE it. Sometimes I’ll even throw in a little horseradish and/or a jalapeño. Spicier the better IMO!
Probably would be, but I used to roll a piece of cotton wool in cayenne and shove it up my old Dads nose when he had massive nosebleeds. Stopped the bleeding but didn't cause him any pain.
Pepper stops bleeding by clotting it curiously enough (you can test this with even ordinary pepper if you cut yourself ) and I've even heard Cayenne used as an emergency remedy to stop bleeding ulcers and other internal bleeding.
Kind of weird when you think it also dilates vessels and thins blood so it can run more smoothly through the dilated vessels but also clots excess blood. Reminds me a bit of the contradictions with celery - on the one hand it's full of sodium, on the other it has an ingredient that will lower blood pressure. Seems Cayenne also has contradictory benefits.
I have 3 lbs. of 130,000 cayenne pepper. It gets more use than table salt. Ever mix some cayenne in organic jelly? It's sweet, hot, and nasty! I love it on toast in the morning.
God I can't imagine that, 90,000 is my limit and then only twice a day (although I'm trying to work up to more and bigger doses). 130,000 would blow my head off!
Recently my sons and I went to a Mexican restaurant. Their salsa was mild so I asked for their strong stuff. The Mexican waiter brought over a red bottle and a little green one and warned me that the green bottle was so hot it made him cry.
I tested some after he left. I tasted a little 'zing', but nothing overwhelming by any means. So, I loaded up my burrito with lots of the green stuff and wolfed it all down without any regrets whatsoever. The waiter came back later to check on me. He asked me which one I tried. With food in my mouth, I pointed to the little green bottle. He saw that the bottle was half gone and he said-- "Wow, I'm impressed. You know your salsas!"
I've been taking 100,000 cayenne for as long as I can remember. I decide to up the game to 130,000. I admit I bought way too much of the stuff (3 lbs.), but it has set me on a determined path to use the stuff. So, I put on nearly everything I can think of; Eggs, mac&cheese, chicken, hamburger, kombucha, lemonade, ginger tea, etc. Sleeping at night in the dead of winter is having to pull of the blanket and cover half of myself with just the bed sheet if I even do that. It's amazing stuff for blood circulation.
Because of my age, I watch my intake of sugar for obvious reasons, but also reasons based on Nature. Plants use sugars to attract animals to eat. This is typically in the form of fruit that have seeds and the mechanism is that the seeds pass through the animal and is deposited in feces that fertilize the next generation of fruit bearing plant.
In plants sugar is also used to attract insects for pollination and in the case of the Venus fly trap and other 'carnivorous' plants used to attract and trap insects. Honey bees make and store honey for the cold winter months when there aren’t enough flowers to feed on. Honey contains 82.4 percent sugar (carbohydrates) and bees use it to fuel the high demands that their work requires.
Bottom line is that sugar is an energy booster. Dr. Zelenko prompted me to think about a statement he made about his 'COVID' protocol. He said-- "Zinc is the bullet. It kills the virus". Quercetin gets zinc inside the cell.
Well, is it possible that Capsaicin helps sugar inside the cell for energy? Capsaicin will stop a heart attack in its track. Not only that, but it will prevent necrosis (deatrh) of the heart cells.
I believe there may be 'something' to my theory for an effective energy boost using cayenne in jam. To me, it works better than a cup of coffee.
Oh and it also stops flies laying their eggs in your waste food bins in hot weather! Sprinkle some around and inside the bin and it keeps them away so no maggots!
It's the bomb! I take capsules, when needed, use it in cooking, and, a pinch in some coconut oil rubbed on cold sore feet, just a pinch though, a little goes a long way. It grows good up here, if I have to pick it before an early frost, and the peppers are still green, I just hang the whole plant upside down and they all ripen in week. Always add it to any cold remedy.
I get a Cayenne rated 90,000 HU from Amazon UK, don't know whether this brand is available in other countries. Don't think I could take anything stronger!
Cayenne is considered to be a medicinal herb. I'm not sure if the heat is a determining factor or whether there is more to they type of pepper that makes it medicinal. ?
Cole Robinson Snake Diet talks about how he made the mistake of taking potassium capsules instead of dissolving in his salt water electrolyte drink and it really damage his stomach. He recommends a pinch of cayenne pepper because it helped heal the damage.
Here's a tip for the desperate: applied tabasco directly to open sores caused by eczema. Obviously very painful immediately, but caused relief after that. Results not guaranteed, your mileage may vary.
Look up Fire Cider, a dose of that daily will keep you healthy, includes cayenne & jalapeño). Some good stuff!! I do believe Capsaicin is in most peppers, Cayenne is just the highest rated. So much healthy foods out there (you won’t find in fast food but in the garden) it’ll make your head spin!! Many of these medicinal groceries have a multitude of healing properties!! Don’t eat crappy food and expect a healthy body
James 1:17
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
Natural remedies for ailments are found in scripture, including Paul instructing Timothy to take wine as a medicine for his stomach difficulties. Fermented foods have certainly been shown in particular to have great benefits to health. 😊
Your heart is so in the right place...I can't tell you what a benefit it is for people to see that God has provided everything we need to live healthy and whole. I am so mystified how there are so many natural remedies for each and every condition man could ever encounter. I don't doubt the mind can affect illness...but it is not the source...it is the fallen world with its' sin sickness. And the cure is the knowledge that God gives us in our physical world and also in our spiritual world through the knowledge that the Holy Spirit imparts. God's goal is that we be healthy...body, mind and spirit. God bless you for helping to give people answers to the physical problems they may face...
Capsaicin is being looked at as a cancer cure. Many variety of peppers are being bred now to get us the best medicine
Turmeric
I've given all my dishes a tint of yellow from cooking with turmeric, I love my capsaicin too.
If capsaicin, cayenne, cumin, and turmeric are keys to long and healthy life, I'll live to 100+.
Look into curcumin full spectrum too. Its derived from tumeric
Excellent news.
On an ant-inflammatory rating some of the best foods like Kale, Spinach have an anti-inflammatory rating of 80-90………cayenne is 1400 on the anti-inflammatory scale!!! I think it has the most healing properties of all natural treatments.
It's so awesome. If you take a few pinches and just mix with water and gun it down, the feeling is amazing, at least to me.
I actually paired peppercorns with a turmeric capsule. I read somewhere that monks took peppercorns and thought I'd give it a try and it was an easy way to take pepper. Supposedly a little bit of black pepper with turmeric really increases the absorption rate of the turmeric
By 2000%
My saved folder is huge!
Mixing in lemonade helps with the taste quite a bit.
I really enjoy a pinch in herbal tea
I wonder what African Bird Pepper would be on that scale. ABP has a Scoville heat unit rating of 150,000 hu, where as Cayenne is around 30,000 hu's.
ABP is the stronger brother.to Cayenne...
Yes heat wise, I think cayenne is unique with healing qualities.
Wow!
I eat Franks Hot Sauce... does that count?
Hopefully not from Barney Frank.
Nipples protruding. Very disrespectful.
Maybe? Anything that opens up the blood vessels encouraging good blood flow is super helpful to your overall health!
It's just too spicy for me. I could do it in capsules

There are a lot of spices with great health properties. Turmeric is one. Indian dishes are filled with beneficial spices.
Granted... Indian dishes aren't to everyone's taste.

You can do turmeric in other cuisines as well; I've worked it into Southern and Thai dishes.
Another way is to make an Indonesian juice called Jamu that is turmeric and ginger based. You can sprinkle some black pepper in to help absorb the turmeric more and can probably throw some cayenne pepper in too. I learned to love it even with the pepper. I miss Indonesia.

No, that's perfect. Thanks
My best source for cayenne both powder and liquid is www.herbdoc.com. Best natural supplements on the market!!!
Thank you!
👍

Try it in just a cup of water. You will like that kick...:)
1/2 apple
1/2 banana
Hunk of ginger root
Handful of blueberries
Spinach
Turmeric + a few cranks of black pepper
Good pinch of CAYANNE
Tbs hemp hearts/chia seeds
2 tbs olive oil
1 clove garlic
Shot of ACV
Water
Blend it up and enjoy! DELICIOUS, incredibly beneficial for general health and wellbeing and definitely has a nice spicy kick!
Been making this for breakfast and lunch for years on and off. LOVE it. Sometimes I’ll even throw in a little horseradish and/or a jalapeño. Spicier the better IMO!
This sounds amazingly healthy and may taste pretty good too.
It’s honestly delicious!
Wow- looks great
Turmeric plus piperine and capsaicin are awesome.
Incredible combinations

They are great together
Good resource
Two words: Hot Toddy.
Not sure I trust this. Read a review that snorting cayenne can help unclog your ears. Pretty sure snorting cayenne would be extremely painful.
Probably would be, but I used to roll a piece of cotton wool in cayenne and shove it up my old Dads nose when he had massive nosebleeds. Stopped the bleeding but didn't cause him any pain.

That is a wild story. May have to try this with a nosebleed sometime
This is the way

Will have to try that…haven’t had jelly in years though

Invigorating.

Thanks for posting. I love threads like this. I am always trying to find natural ways to help me feel better.

I wonder if habaneros have the same effects. Cayenne taste really good but I like it hotter 😋
African Bird Pepper would be your liking then. It has a Scoville Heat Unit of 150,000 hu. Where as Cayenne is around 30,000 HU.
I juts took a few pinches about 30 mins ago of African Bird Pepper and mixed with water. Feeling incredible.

Hey, fatty!!! I remember Cole talking about cayenne pepper, too.
Just a dash in your Hot Cocoa. Best way to take it, imho
Here's a tip for the desperate: applied tabasco directly to open sores caused by eczema. Obviously very painful immediately, but caused relief after that. Results not guaranteed, your mileage may vary.
Maybe neutralizing the vinegar with, say, baking soda would make it less painful?
I used to love it but now it hurts my stomach so much, I can't take it. I wish there was an alternative.

Is this one of the threads where we worship the material and pretend that the mind is not the source of dis-ease?
I would understand the concern; but...
Natural remedies for ailments are found in scripture, including Paul instructing Timothy to take wine as a medicine for his stomach difficulties. Fermented foods have certainly been shown in particular to have great benefits to health. 😊
Jesus’s first miracle…
You could have just said ‘yes’ 🙂
Good question my friend. No - no one is worshipping, except God and his son Jesus Christ, in my believe.
Just more information on healthy living.
