Trueee. I get ‘best of both worlds’ - spouse is hourly and I’m salary. But I hear him all the time complain about working past a certain amount of overtime because any extra earnings gets eaten up by tax. In my house this move would be a game changer.
You and I may need to negotiate for better salaries 😅
I think there were rumblings several years ago that they were going to make salaried workers who put in over 40 hours a week get paid overtime also, but nothing came of it.
Let's see, 30 years salary, average of 10 hours per week unpaid (5 hours extra expected as part of the job and 5 hours for all the times expected to put in a little extra to get the latest hot project done), minus 2 hours for the little bonuses that made up the difference, and forget vacations because those were largely excused absences given the amount of time expected before and after to make up for being out of the office - 8hr x 50 weeks x 30yrs = 12000 hrs, or 6 years salary. Yeah, that's not going to happen.
Income tax is interest paid on the money the Federal Reserve loans into the supply of money.
"No income tax" implies that the Federal Reserve System is no more.
As I was telling my daughter and son in law tonight, one day we'll wake up and the world will be totally different. We won't know how it happened or when, exactly. But, it's happening NOW. We just aren't being told about it, explicitly. It's only being hinted at. And one huge hint, that nearly everyone is missing, is that no income tax means the Federal Reserve is no more.
It will take time to work it all out. But Trump told us several years ago that the U.S. Treasury has the books of the Federal Reserve. But few understood the meaning. If you have someone's books, you own them. I do believe that "We the people" own the Federal Reserve. And one implication of that is we will stop paying interest (income tax) to the Federal Reserve.
That's why, out of the blue, Trump started talking about income tax. He isn't pandering. The world has changed.
I assume we are talking about federal income tax? Several states - Alaska, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming - don't have state level income taxes.
But WA state is taxed out the ass for sales and gas tax- so theres that
Im in King Co- 10.3% sales tax, gas at just below $4 / gallon now- we use Costco and Tribal Gas stations to save a few $$
Yep, that's the other side to no income tax. They're gonna get their money one way or the other. The one plus, ppl paid under the table (or illegals) and skirting income tax still pay when it's a sales tax based system
all in for "consumption tax" so everyone pays...and i'm also in favor of higher sales tax assessed on high-end luxury items, like a huge sailboat, large diamond jewelry, private airplanes, etc, that most people can't afford anyway...
All you "nothing will happen" doomers smh. Not a good look for a handshake, gotta say. A shit ton has happened so I'm hard pressed to understand why you are saying "nothing will happen". Maybe you should read more and lurk more before commenting.

It's coming. All of the above. The ONLY [tax] for average citizens of the United States will be sales tax.
Gone will be the days where you "file your taxes."
Just as assuredly as September 16 will be a day to remember.
Because people will wonder: I am not a prophet/psychic nor am I military nor am I the time traveler formerly known as 'John Titor.'
Sales tax and tariffs. The only "fair" way. Tax is legal theft. I want to rant. Not the place. Forgive me though, what is 9/16 have I missed something?
Yeah, we really need to get back to the basics. A lot of people say things like, "who is going to pay for the Interstate system?". We don't need it. Seriously, America was built on people living close to home and working hard. Easy travel has turned this country into a mad house. If it was harder to move, people would be more invested in their local communities and fixing their problems. Instead, we have Californians leaving their destitute state and bringing their same broken policies and agendas. Make them fix their own shit and leave the rest of us alone. If you really want a road that badly, you can build it yourself, and set up a toll booth. If it is useful, then other people will pay to use it. It really is that simple.
Every commercial truck in the USA pays $550.00 Road Use Tax every year. That's federal. Each state puts a tax on fuel. That is state tax. There is plenty of revenue for the interstates and state roads. Why are the roads in such bad shape? Where does the money go???
All that money is wasted. Just give them back the money and let the truckers build their own roads where they need. It will be much more efficient because they won't build useless roads to little towns in the middle of nowhere.
I've been telling people for years (since 2019) and I've mentioned it several times on GAW before Trump mentioned no tax on Tips… "The Federal Income Tax will be Eliminated!"
I know this because I happen to know that John Titor's information on many other things was solid. He told us as much in his posts from 2000 & 2001.
My friends that get caught up in the 'bu.. but JT said the Civil War started in 2004... etc' have NOT actually read all of the Titor posts (6+ hr read) and do not know how to read comms beyond whatever was patiently spoonfed to us by Q to help us learn.
Edit: it's my belief John Titor is a white hat from the future who went back in time to tell us things before they would happen. He started posting (3 days shy of) 17 years before Q started posting.
There's a wealth of information out there that gets neglected.

Another one is "free energy" but NOT in the form anyone is expecting. It will be solar panels that work 24 hours a day, rain or shine, light or dark, bottom of a mineshaft, they can be stacked one on top of another, very tightly because they work on a different spectrum of non-visible light.
"A world war in 2015 killed nearly three billion people. The people that survived grew closer together. Life is centered on the family and then the community. I cannot imagine living even a few hundred miles away from my parents."
3 Billion people is a lot of people. I don't think we are at a point yet that people are more family centered.

That was an extremely relevant reply, and thoughtful. Isn't it strange how John Titor talked about all the things we would talk about here…?
The importance of Family, having children, a Society more in touch with religion/God. The importance of the Constitution and our civil liberties and being aware of these rights and guarding against those who would want to take them from us. The items that were important to him are the exact same ones that are important to us here on GAW.
wondering how many people recall how a pregnancy test was performed, in the days leading up to RvW...was called "rabbit test", and the rabbit always died, because it had to be cut open to detect something in their system, or not...but the rabbit always died...i have explained this concept to SO MANY younger people, that we no longer need RvW, as today's pregnancy tests are almost immediate, and a woman has 5 weeks before heartbeat, to decide if she wants to keep her baby... would love to shut down abortion clinics totally, because not needed since the recent DNC was handing out "day after pills" i heard...
Nobody wants to work overtime anymore because if you work more than around 10 hours OT you actually make the same as 40 hrs because they tax the living shit out if it!
Sales taxes have been imposed by states but not the federal government. The first sales tax was enacted in West Virginia in 1921. Eleven other states followed suit in 1933. Eighteen more states had a sales tax in place by 1940.
Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon are the only states without a sales tax as of July 2024.
Tax Foundation. "State and Local Sales Tax Rates, Midyear 2024."
I'm not from USA but this can't work, because how do you stop someone negotiating their a salary of say $x and the $y in overtime and therefore reducing the overall tax burden. It would be a nightmare to control. The only way this could work is for fulltime union jobs only where there is a union/employee agreement in place or what we call Award wages or Enterprise Bargaining agreement in Australia.
The cost to employ 2 people with benefits vs 3 people with benefits isbsubstantiallyblower EVEN with overtime factored in. To the company, paying overtime for 2 employees is less than paying reg hrs for 3 employees- that is our tax structure is set up- companies have to pay per employeebon their end too- Social Security Unemployment, Medicare- all obligations are met by the employer as well as the employee---- even our fed gov does this: overtime pay < more emoyees
The only major legitimate expense of the federal government is the defense of the United States itself (including cats). Everything else is illegal, unconstitutional bullshit. And that expense can most likely be handled by tariffs.
Lefties at work are saying no way this will ever happen. Hiw would we pay for government and social security they say. Congress will never approve this. The president doesnt have this power! They really fo argue everything and hate on everything. It's clearly a mental illness.
This would be nice, although I won't be affected as I have retired.
I would like to see Trump put pressure on state governments to stop with the property taxes-also the local jurisdictions-like some have mentioned on this website prior. That would be a great help to citizens of our country and a welcome relief!
Eliminating TAXES on over-time pay would be due to the US Government "shrinking" substantially and the revamping of the US Tax Code amongst other things...
I daresay that President Trump on the First Day in Office will go like GANG BUSTERS on EOs and watch the caterwalling begin...
OHHHHHH MY!!!!! Wonder how many brown stains will show up in the shorts????😎 Askin' for a friend!!!!
Taxes are when the government thinks it can spend your money better than you can!
So, it may be possible to remove income tax completely and rely on sales taxes. If people have more money they will tend to spend it. Sales tax receipts will rise.
How about compensating salaried workers, who work overtime! Hehehe!
Trueee. I get ‘best of both worlds’ - spouse is hourly and I’m salary. I think there were rumblings several years ago that they were going to make salaried workers who put in over 40 hours a week get paid overtime also, but nothing came of it.
Let us bring that back!!!
Our salary people at work are salary exempt. They get overtime after their regular scheduled hours.
I have a feeling a lot of contracts will be restructured.
So roll over and die.
You want to explain to everyone why you are here?
I had a conversation with the above handshake account who told me all about his socialist ideas.
He’s here because the shill/doomer deport button wasn’t used on a listed handshake account.
Ask him to make a good defense of Karl Marx raping his maid at the dinner table while ostensibly advocating for workers.

“Two more weeks”, right, buddy?
Do it yourself then...
No tax on self employed.
YES PLEASE
First no tax on tips
Then no tax on Social Security benefits
Now no tax on overtime
Next no tax on wages or other income
Then no tax on property or anything else
Please

To be clear I don't think the great awakening is an exact day, but an ongoing thing.
I believe September 16 is just a catalyst. Some major event that will be shocking.
ooooh ok thanks fren, interesting!

Why not just make all of the hours tax free? And eliminate property tax too.
You know what? The government wouldn't need so much tax if it wasn't so massively enormous!
Yeah, we really need to get back to the basics. A lot of people say things like, "who is going to pay for the Interstate system?". We don't need it. Same strategy as Roe V Wade. Chip away at the edges a little bit at a time. Absolutely love it.

I think it should be the other way around. Don't tax the regular hours.
What is a better society?
Agreed…
"Anyone else see where this is going…?"
There will Be. No. Taxes., save for sales tax.
Work more: make more. Seems simple to me.
BREAKING: HARRIS ANNOUNCES NO TAX ON OVERTIME PAY!
I think you've preempted a Babylon Bee headline here🐸
Well I wish my dad was still alive to see this! To see Trump! ❤️
Read my lips, no more taxes.
I like this!!
Keep it going! No taxes on anything! Property I've already bought, no taxes on Salary, no taxes gains!
There will be sales tax.
There will be no property taxes.
When did sales tax start? If not when, when did they become so much?
https://www.investopedia.com/articles/tax/10/history-taxes.asp
I always liked The Fair Tax Act in 2004. A flat tax on all new goods and services. Only way to tax the shadow economy
lmao you're not even a 3 letter you're just a dumbass or a very terrible shill kek
Yay!! About time. Abolish income and all property tax. MAGA!
That would've been nice when he was POTUS. I would've made a killing then.

Came to also post questions about if overtime is at a mandatory rate, I e. Traditionally it's considered "time and a half", but is that codified?
Same question as you, essentially.

There will be NO [taxes] save for sales tax.
Maybe it's just a test to see if Kamala copies 😃
The IRS will most likely not exist a year from now.
People will understand and appreciate this!
The only major legitimate expense of the federal government is the defense of the United States itself (including cats). Everything else is illegal, unconstitutional bullshit. And that expense can most likely be handled by tariffs.
Trump is moving that way...
Kamala coming in hot after with the same policy.
Taxing income should not even be a thing.. but it seems like the best way to game this law would be:
But seriously, I would love if this was one of the first steps to get rid of the unconstitutional income tax.
Lefties at work are saying no way this will ever happen. Hiw would we pay for government and social security they say. Congress will never approve this. The president doesnt have this power! They really fo argue everything and hate on everything. It's clearly a mental illness.

What about my bonus?
Don't tax me bro!
😁
THIS. Basically lose half! Wtf....
He is saying it without saying it. Income tax is going to be as extinct as the Dodo bird.
As an employee who works 60 hours a week, this is a financial game changer for me.
