Family holidays were fairly raucous and between her, my dad, and my uncles, it probably sounded much like the video. It has actually taken me a few decades to figure out that not everyone talks in "weave" format. I never even knew it had a name until this interview. I was born on the west coast and did not have the Brooklyn accent, but I can tell you that to this day I have to keep my "weave" in check... not always successfully.
