There is no world in which deep red coal country appalachian counties shifted democrat at all, much less roughly 10 points, some times more. This is the most absurd crap I've seen since 2020.

As someone in Appalachian Virginia I can explain part of this.
Just after democrats won the 2020 elections here they immediately started putting out proposals for multiple bans on guns, including all semiautomatic rifles before they’d even taken office. With there being a democrat governor it looked bleak. Gun owners rallied and had an armed march in Richmond. Remember the 2nd Amendment Sanctuary counties that spread across the country? They started in Virginia.
People that had never voted before came out of the woodwork to vote democrats out in the next election.
This time, I was screaming for republicans to push this issue again and remind the people what they did last time. There wasn’t a peep about it the entire cycle.
People that’d never voted before went back to not voting. It’s not a shift in ideology. It was a shift in motivation and voting numbers on the right.

That's a big part; HOWEVER, elections are not "real" - voter rolls are filled with dead people, people who no longer live in the area and, most importantly, illegals; mail-in ballots are voted for "registered voters" who don't vote; no voter ids required so anyone can vote; and machines can flip votes whenever and wherever "needed".

Proof of widespread election theft/fraud during other elections,
Executive mandates for federal election procedures (that filter to states because most states won't run separate federal and state elections), and⁰
Removal, prosecution or resignation of criminal/compromised legislators, officials and judges who refuse to rectify the election "situation".

For example, they're trying to say scot and lee county, two of the counties in the heart of appalachian coal country that have gotten redder and redder EVERY election for the last 30-40 years suddenly swung left by 7.3 and 8.1 points. And lots of other counties like smyth, wyth, etc. went more than 11 points leftward.
People can come up with whatever excuses they want, but the truth of that matter is the only answer is that state wide fraud occurred. I'm afraid that rather than fraud, this could be a sign of how easily people are manipulated by MSM. And even worse, if MSM was able to convince that many people to switch from voting Republican to voting Democrat in just one year, next year's mid-terms look bleak, and there better be something drastic to counter it during the next 9 months.

I find it crazy that this happened, I also find it crazy that they called the race so fast. Almost like they flipped each vote and knew who was going to win. I have never seen anything like it. But I will say that some of us tried to call it early that the now governor of VA had too many ties to the deep state and how so many things he has done are now showing.

I see a lot of claims of fraud. I agree. My question, how does it get fixed? When can an honest election happen.
I see no evidence that a solution will happen. Nor can one.
We will either live with this or unimaginable drastic steps are needed.

The areas with the most population around DC, I am sure have a lot of federal employees who were laid off, I think that has a lot to do with some of it, in Virginia, anyway.
There was a CNBC article about a betrayal and (consequentially?) DJT not mentioning winsome Sears name the other day. The article never did say what the betrayal was...
Anyway perhaps DJT knew that the triggers were focused on VA? More swamp creatures live ther than anywhere else.
Firstly, even in Virginia do this many people turn out for statewide elections. It should be more difficult to cheat in local and statewide elections. But the Dems/ Commies have gotten away with it, without being punished for so long it is 2nd nature (almost 1st nature) for them to cheat and steal elections. Those people must be shown-free and FAIR elections are the solution. Start punishing the culprits responsible for this ASAP!
