Actually we never went in because they had a sign on the door that said Masks were Required.
This restaurant only recently opened in my small town in rural county. They only serve breakfasts on Saturday am. We were the only car in their lot other than their workers. Was the food ok? I wondered. How come no one else was there?
We noted the open sign and walked up to the door. When we saw the sign that masks were required we walked away.
One of the workers or the owner opened the door and ran out to say we are open. We said yes we knew and that you mandate masks so we will be going elsewhere.
They just lost a customer and some revenue they probably needed since there were no other customers in their restaurant. Knowing this rural conservative town.. they probably have lost a ton of other customers here, too. People here in general don't want to wear the masks.
I suspect they won't last the year.
Yep ... they are fucked. Woke in rural America is a death sentence. I've seen it many times in the last year. Woketards open a biz thinking people will flock to their virtue. Never happens.
Its all yours Fren. Fire at will 😂
Agree, awesome, crisp, pointed and even visual
Woketards of a feather fail together.
If it doesn't work in San Fran (with exception of elite's friend's kids opening a small front company) then what makes them think that it will work in Chandler, Oklahoma?
Oh right, they don't know that it's only due to nepotism that these people run woke, Always Sunny style businesses and don't go broke. They saw someone's cute and woke cupcake shop on a mommy blog and thought they could open one too.
Walking out of restaurants after we find out they require masks has become a favorite activity.
Way better to do this than to go in maskless. Go in with out the mask and they don’t say something? Mask sign stays up. Go in and they ask you to leave- you’re the problem not respecting their sign. Don’t go in at all? Totally your choice based on their choice.
LOVE IT!!!!
Doing your part for the culture.I like that!
Seethe harder.
Woketards aren't the ones spending the money that keeps them open, at most they show up once, twice, maybe three times due to friends then never go again because of the high prices.
They probably watch CNN.
My husband is going maskless everywhere in our deep blue state. In restaurants, he tells them point blank—“I am leaving this tip because you didn’t hassle me about wearing a mask.” Or, “I would have left you a tip, but you hassled me about wearing a mask.”
What it does is teaches these kids to Mind Your Own Business, and stop being a tool for the state.
Let the government run its business, and let me run my own.
Other way around
Yep, likewise for me!
They only start to understand once their money is in jeopardy...hit them where it hurts and things will change quickly.
Things here have certainly changed. The empty x’d off tables are gone. Masks are gone except for those who are afraid. Nice.
Just wanted to point out that it's not the servers who make the mask policy. People need to work and at least they aren't sitting at home collecting bidemployment money. You should be going after the owner/manager imo
The prison guards in Auschwitz needed a job too.
It’s a Nuremberg violation. Not as severe as the vaccine issue but it’s still medical treatment without informed consent.
I think they realize this. That said, our country is at war and anyone who upholds directives like wearing masks and the like are collaborators with the enemy. If that sounds drastic, realize that there's no end to what they're willing to impose on us IF we let them.
Appreciate the sentiment, but if enough of the workers refuse to raise the issue for fear of using a tip, management becomes toothless on the issue. Keep in mind that management in the bigger cities don't like to look like they're attacking the "proletariate," so they tend to back off if enough workers raise a big enough stink.
Also, notice that u/Camden105b 's husband gives tips to those who don't push the issue, giving positive as well as negative encouragement in equal measure.
No one has the balls to actually to complain to the people in charge. It's easier to bitch atthe peons. Boomers and the first half of the X'ers are notorious for this in particular, as I learned in retail.
I'm the only one at UPS refusing to put a mask on towards the end of shift. They only want us to wear them to look good for the boss who comes in for the morning. What a joke.
restaurants tend to not function well without servers though. Servers themselves can talk to the manager.
The poor fuckers in the restaurant sitting there banging their heads asking, "Why are they walking away, how can we make it clear we're open?! Don't they notice the sign!"
I'm sure by the time OP walked away it happened multiple times already. They're racking their brains looking for a huge light up open sign because it couldn't possibly be masks, it's the clientele that's oblivious. Has to be. 😂
It's the children who are out of touch...
^^^^This!
Americans, at heart, are a rebellious people by heritage (Revolutionary War). We are founded on rebellion, had a major civil war based in rebellion and we continue to be rebellious. It is those who lack that basic rich American instinct to rebel against tyranny who are the toadies enabling the cabal encouraging their attempt to rule us with asininities. Stupid is as stupid does.
NO! NO! NO! I will not wear the diaper. NO! I will never submit to the bioweapon! Woke businesses beware; blowback is just starting and it will come to a crescendo at your doorsteps.
My forefathers came to America before it was a country. Three brothers left UK; two of which drowned in a shipwreck. I am the 9th generation in this country. My forefather was here before this country was a country; thus I am an American; no hyphen. One of my forefathers fought in the Revolutionary War. I used to wonder if I had the guts and balls to do what they did. Yeah, I think I do.
Which is why they are bent on mass importation of illegals that will never seek to integrate into American society. Just another way to dilute and weaken us against their tyranny
Mexicans never follow the rules I don’t understand where they get these ideas
Exactly. The illegal importation of illegals is to demoralize the citizens which is further enhanced by monetary perks, free health care, and an increase in crime and disease.
Because it wasn't a democracy.
I respectfully disagree. Our Founding Fathers were NOT rebellious. They had experienced Tyranny and oppression and it violated their religious beliefs. This nation was begun with the pilgrims who fled Europe to have religious freedom. The King of England was attempting to violate those basic human rights.
Our Declaration of Independence is a legal document outlining the reasons for the separation. The Revolutionary War was fought to separate us from an immoral tyrant. They made it clear that it was not a rebellion, but a legal separation. It is why we have a Bill of Rights. It is why they put their trust in God (they referred to Him as “Providence”, but dedicated this nation at its founding to God. This actually happened at the little church next to the Twin Towers. (For more about this, read the book, “The Harbinger” by Jonathan Cahn. )
I think you just described rebellious.
Perhaps you define rebellious as always wrong. But sometimes it isn't wrong.
Perhaps he is using a progressive dictionary. Who knows
Rebellion: defying or resisting some established authority, government, or tradition. Many people submit to oppressive, unjust rule. Americans rebelled against it.
A+ would read again
Fourth Turning by Straus and Howe was like that. Everything goes in cycles, and the cycles are predictable.
looking up...Harbinger...free...ebook...
Any chance you have an author in case my duckfu fails me? lol
let's compromise and say that Americans don't take kindly to illegitimate authority.
There's actually some interesting conclusions you could draw from this fact and recent events of the last few years or so.
The Shemitah also by him is an awesome read... I've read both...
I asked a coffee shop if they were hardliners about the mask when I went in. The girls said I needed to do drive through.
I left. Nest shop same thing except the guy said, no, I have to post it but I don't have to enforce it. So now I buy my Java from him
I went on a date at a coffee shop, was denied service for not wearing a mask, and was also left by my date.
Doesn't matter. Had 'tegrity.
I would have paid for your coffee and dinner 👍🏻 Freedom is attractive
Get woke, go broke.
The local restaurant industry is the most difficult in the United States to run for more than a year. Most local restaurants, we're talking around 90%, don't make it more than 12 months before shutting their doors.
Those that make it past their first year are still usually weeded out in the next 3-5 years. If you make it past 5 years, then you're probably going to remain a community staple. A place that everyone goes and recommends like the Mexican restaurant in our town that even survived COVID because everyone loves it.
If you're adding another layer of reasons for people not to walk in your door on top of all of the hundreds of other reasons the people might not eat at your establishment, then you're turning that 12-36 month time frame much much shorter.
Mask mandates feel designed to kill the local restaurant industry.
This entire charade is designed to kill small businesses. Class warfare.
This. The focus is on restaurants because there are so many, but with few exceptions most small businesses are struggling. And while they are talking about continuing the eviction moratorium, that is only applying to residential - not commercial.
I know a guy who is a commercial lease litigator and he is VERY busy. He said most of the mom and pop landlords are willing to work with the tenants. The corporate ones, not so much. My brother is a small business owner and I introduced them. His landlord wants all the back rent - and yes, I get it is a contract, but for the love of all things holy, the business is down 50% and he didn't pay himself last year. Unlike the other tenants, he was actually paying a portion of the rent over the last year as a show of good faith. This guy lives in an $11 million home in SV. My brother's position is - and I quote - 'this guy needs to take a bite of the shit sandwich too.'
Good? attempt at pulling a random number out of your ass. But it's well known in the industry, less than 2% of restaurants make it. That's 98% plus that don't.
I've been walking out for a year and a half.... and I tell them loudly I won't be back and will laugh at them when they go out of business...
I bet you think you're doing something other than making these people know they are right because they imposed their will on you.
I stay until the cops are called or they leave me the fuck alone.
Only had the cops called on me a few times.
I did 7 years. Still have some of the burns marks.
I do the exact same thing.🤣😁
Dids not wear mask....... just walked in & carried on. I did have some input however
Driving through a SoCal small town in a rural area a few months ago. Stopped by a tiny handmade candy store to look around and maybe buy some candy to support a local small business. We walked inside maskless and there were only three of us inside the store including the owner.
The owner asked us if we had masks. We said no. She said you have to wear masks and started searching for disposable masks to give us to wear. We said no thank you, we'll just go, and walked out.
No. Such a powerful two-letter word that people aren't able to use. Thank you for sharing your story!
I was at a couple of places and they were doing contact tracing BS. So I signed as Donald Trump and used the whitehouse phone number.
I'm always a musician. Alice Cooper, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, etc. and I always just make up a phone number on the spot. My buddy always uses our provincial Premier's name and number.
Bay area huh?
Nope, not even close.
I assumed cause of the “650” its an area code over there. I lived there for a few years. Anyways carry on!
I told the wife the next place that wants contact tracing I will be "harry Balls 8008135"
Good for you. You tried to patronize them but they turned you away over some stupid protocol that doesn't work. When they go broke maybe they can call CNN and MSNBC and ask for the proof of the science they followed. Perhaps they should have done that before opening a business where people have common sense?
Everywhere has the sign here.
I, and at least 60% of the people here, ignore it.
If they tell me to mask, I'll leave. Done it before, will do it again. An entire city lost my business a few months ago.
We tried to eat at a chain restaurant 6 months ago, and when the hostess asked to take our temperature - we loudly said no and turned around and walked out. Walked across the parking lot and ate at a local restaurant that required no mask or temp.
I wonder what the NPCs are thinking when this happens.
"Hmm maybe that person has the coof and is afraid of us finding out. I'm so proud to keep my restaurant safe!"
NPCs, eh? Take the poorest programmed china bot on reddit, remove any semblance of logic, leaving only appeal to perceived authority. Don’t know. Have to be subhuman to think like that.
NPCs, eh? Take the poorest programmed china bot on reddit, remove any semblance of logic, leaving only appeal to perceived authority. Don’t know. Have to be subhuman to think like that.
110% THIS!
STOP WALKING OUT!
MAKE THEM CALL THE COPS!
YOU ARE NOT FUCKING STANDING FOR ANYTHING, WHEN YOU ARE WALKING OUT!
Please fucking stop that.
THEY ARE WINNING WHEN YOU LEAVE!
Stay. Make them call the cops. Mask mandates are illegal!
Mask mandates aren't enforceable but trespassing is. Give them push back, but then just leave and tell them why, they're losing money that way... Don't waste the cops' time.
Exactly. Usually it goes, "do you have a mask?" Say no, then if they say you have to just say thanks and leave.
Someone doesn’t understand economics.
I like that they came out after you as if begging you to come in.
I've noticed in rural areas, people are not putting up with the mask shit. Customers are rarely wearing masks anywhere, like roughly 3-4%. Some employees are, but they never force it on the customers.
I work in the city though. So at work i have to wear one. Other workers ask me why i don't just by a reusable one. I responded, "This is the only place I wear the face diaper, if you guys want to follow the county and mandate it, you can provide it."
I agree with you. I am saddened that it must be this way. Either businesses stand up against this tyranny or they don't deserve to be in business. Small businesses should already know that the Cabal wants to eliminate small businesses so that international Big Top companies rule everything. This is their plan.
They need to stand with us or perish.
Except in OP's case, there is no tyranny (conservative rural area), so this was a case of people responding to their own fear and thinking they could impose same on others. Your analysis requires a higher level of thinking, these business owners haven't gotten there, and they're not alone.
Not sure what you mean here.
RE: No tyranny in rural area. No mask mandates, no lockdowns. Except for some mask wearers for several months and the stupid plexiglass barriers, it's always been pretty much business as usual, at least in the rural area where I live.
90% of restaurants fail in the first year. Another 90% are gone by year 10 of those left standing.
Yes, OP this restaurant will FAIL very, very fast. Can't keep food too long. Food costs and food loss will make them go under very quickly.
Quit spreading bullshit numbers. It is WELL KNOWN IN THE INDUSTRY, 98%+ of restaurants fail after opening.
Ask, ANY PERSON in the industry.
Hmm, quick number bullshittery...
A = number of restaurants opening
B = number of restaurants closed over ten years (a.k.a. fail after opening)
0.9A + (0.9 * 0.1A) = B
0.9A + (0.09A) = B
0.99A = B
Quick reminder, is 99% a subset of "98%+"? Or should I ask someone in the industry?
Oh I don’t care about the signs. I still go in maskless. If they say anything, I ask them if they think the masks work? If they say yes, I tell them good you have yours on and you are safe, right? They don’t usually say anything after that.
Ask them if they are willing to go on camera and claim that a mask will protect against a virus. Pull out your phone as you ask. (It's an illegal deceptive business practice to make false medical claims).
I go one step beyond that. I walk right in without a mask, and tell them right to their face either they're going to have to kick me out or they're going to take my money.
Yes, and that's not 1 step, that is the ONLY step. DO NOT COMPLY.
I had to visit a hospital for lab tests. There was a checkpoint at the entrance where they enforced mask wearing. Fine, whatever. Put on a mask, and ask the orderly where the lab was. Orderly starts leading me to the lab. As we pass the cafeteria I catch a strong odor of Chinese food. Orderly says, "Smells good. I'm hungry".
Smart mask blocks covid but not chow mein.
You sound dumb comparing something the size of a virus to something that is a molecule.
Since, ya know... the virus is made up of tens of thousand of molecules. It might be a TINY bit bigger.
I'm not saying a mask will stop a virus, I'm saying, it's just as dumb as thinking a mask will stop a virus.
People do NOT know the relative size of things.
You wouldn't? Just not get the medical tests you needed over a mask? You would choose death over wearing a mask for 5 minutes?
They are going down fast. Their own fault. Stupid. Someone else will come in and start a freedom restaurant.
My husband and I recently went to a restaurant for lunch. This was in a small town we'd never been to before. We stood outside reading the Masks Required sign contemplating our hunger. A couple strolling by thought we were trying to decide if the place had good food and they reassured us it was delicious. Hangry enough, we marched in hoping for the best. Mr. Seating Host reminded us about the masks. I gazed around at very sparsely filled tables and then said "We're not gonna wear masks, do you want our business?" He barely hesitated, grabbed two menus and said "Right this way". I hope he was smiling under his face diaper. 🤷🏻♀️
Go Woke, Go Broke.
Thank goodness for rural America - so glad I got out of the city.
Who opens a restaurant in a rural town not knowing the make-up of the target demographic? Or for anywhere for that matter. Go woke, go broke....simple as that.
Because it’s a bullshit story for karma whoring. That’s why.
I think a lot of places believe they have to put up the signs and insist staff wears them, but won't push it with customers. Depends on the place and people, of course.
Suicide by Mask Mandate. They deserve it, and tell you the truth, that they take that stance with masking would suggest that they require their cooks, waiters to be vaxxed, and I am not to crazy about having my food cooked, or delivered by some that got vaxxed.
I like my eggs the way they came out of the chicken, not seasoned with Spiked Proteins.
Man I am glad I had my womanizing heyday back in the 70's\80's. I don't care if it was the entire cast from Girls of Nuts Summer Special, I would not as much as smooch with a vaxxed woman.
I would’ve stayed. I would’ve walked in there no mask like I owned the place and asked them to make me leave. Passive aggression isn’t the way you fight these fuckers. You’ve got to roll in and throw your dick up on the counter....
FUCK
YES!
Yup...this is how we take back our country folks... one peaceful noncompliant patriot at a time doing their civil duty....this is a great interview with catharine austin fitts... a lot of good tips in here....it all end when WE SAY NO AND THEN ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!! COME ON PEOPLE, WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!! ....https://www.bitchute.com/video/Z5SMOeGvr8v6/
Walmart is fixing to go this way. At the door I'm greeted by an employee handing out masks. HANDING THEM OUT!! They ask if I need a mask and shove one my way. I simply say "No thanks, I'm not sick".
Getting tired of people treating regular Joe Americans as a carrier of the plague. If I'm sick I will stay home and try not to infect my fellow neighbors. If I'm well, then I will go where I am appreciated. Once Walmart begins to mandate a mask I guess I will go to my local grocery store.
Here's one even dumber. Waitress says " We need you to wear a mask until your seated ", which was 10 feet away ".
She was totally oblivious to just how stupid her statement was, and how she is a danger to every freedom loving person on the planet - and even her kids.
The bots can only do as they're told, nothing more. Sorry, I have them in my circle to, but they are truly a threat.
They just need to take the freaking sign down.
Morons gonna moron 🤷🏻♀️
Na, leave it up, nice to know who the commies are and who not to patronize. If the owner is running out the door chasing customers, that's a pretty big tell they won't last as it is. The market will resolve this one on it's own. Small rural town, the word has already spread.
Womp womp 🤷🏻♀️👊🏼
Loving the individual victory posts!! Glad you were able to communicate why you walked away. Thank you for posting and giving others the courage to stand up!
I would have left also.
