A sonic boom does not sound like an explosion. SAUCE I have heard sonic booms.

BOOMS EN_ROUTE TOMORROW. This is not a drill. Q
This was on the border - DC isn’t that big, only about ten miles on a side, so easy for a sonic boom to be heard across DC and also in Maryland and Virginia.
I read in the article above it was F-16s chasing a plane and then the Cessna crashed around the same time of the sonic boom
A sonic boom and jet plane vortices might knock a small plane out of the sky.
I've heard 2 sonic booms. My first thought was that my son blew up the kitchen. When I ran to the kitchen and he was standing there wondering what the noise was, another boom hit. That one sounded like a semi-truck hit our house. We all ran outside to find the whole neighborhood outside looking at the sky wondering what was going on.
This was when 2 jets blew past my tiny town to try to intercept a stolen Frontier plane from SeaTac.
Mileage may vary, I don't know what an actual blown up kitchen or crashing semi-truck would sound like (not counting the semi in that Duel movie). Until you know what's going on, you're pretty much in a type of shock.
Upvote for Duel, one of my favorite movies. Dennis Weaver was great in it! 🚗⛟
I heard it and it sounded like an explosion but a little different- I said wtf was that and then shortly heard another & thought maybe fireworks not unheard of
We're you outside shortly before the event?
Yes I was out side- live about an hour half away from DC-but we all now know it was a fighter jet sonic boom. The second explosion we heard could have been the crash but not sure I would be able to hear that from where I am.
Same...I was about 15 miles to the south of DC in VA, was standing next to an open door and heard the two back to back BOOMS, shook the entire house and rattled all of the glassware in cupboards.
I have heard/experienced sonic booms in the past, and they were more about hearing than feeling...Sunday afternoon's phenomena reminded me of two somewhat muffled explosions, sort of coming from overhead. The ground shaking was the most unnverving part.
We have had people in the field next to us blow up refrigerators and dryers that have shook the house and rattled the windows and when I hear explosions I usually wonder what they are doing next door now. LOL
Lol Jesus what in the retard?
Official story: Sonic boom during a training drill. https://twitter.com/PenguinSix/status/1665441945877983232?
One thing is for sure, the Official story and the truth are rarely the same.
Good find, thanks!
But are the gutters on fire again?
Thanks for the info. The problem with that lie is that they do not go ‘Super-sonic’ during training exercises. For certain not over DC.
nm, I didn't research fully
When I was young there were frequent sonic booms where I lived from F4’s training at the base close by. I have heard hundreds of them. They would go supersonic as they left the TCA as they passed the commercial airport in town headed to the bomb range about a 100 miles away.
The home security camera I saw and heard footage of was not a sonic boom. It must have been far away from the boom as it sounded like a distant gun shot. Sonic booms are not heard over 3 states (even small ones).
F4 supersonic pass. Does that sound loud enough to tavel as far as this is reported?

Are they ever enough to feel like an earthquake?
No
If you have ever heard the crack of a high power rifle makes, like 30-06, AR-15 etc. that is the lead going supersonic when it leaves the barrel. The bigger the object the bigger the crack. Listen to the video that I posted above. Nothing close to shaking the ground…. It may rattle a window at low altitude if close enough ( few hundred feet)
I know. Worked on a flight line or two. Lived near army and air bases most my life. No sonic boom is causing the ground the shake.
That practice was stopped a while back. Residents/Casinos in Las Vegas raised hell about Nellis AFB jet jockeys rattling windows all the time. No more Mach1+ over populated areas.
Data center exploding in a DUMB. I guess near the Potomic River, if the river was being used to cool the computers?
I remember Juan O' Savin joking about how the White Hats had a plan to alter the course of the Potomac river to flood DC and all the DUMBS.
Didn't a lot of weird stuff happen on December 25, 2020?
Nashville, obviously, but other large fires in the following days that could have been other data centers or DUMBS being taken out.
They are claiming an aircraft broke the sound barrier. I don't think the ground shakes like that when that happens, does it?
I'm no expert on the subject, but I think that only happens if the jet is at a very low altitude. It makes no sense to me. Sounds like a cover story.
Edit: So looks like it was either multiple jets, or possibly a missile that intercepted a Cessna plane going down. The military scrambled jets in response because they detected the plane going down and unresponsive.

A lot of the commenters on the local news page seem to agree with you. I truly do not know, but we felt it here and it was a helluva boom.
It did not sound like a sonic boom. It felt like a distant explosion. I'm surprised at how far the sound and vibration travelled. Shook windows at the Smithsonian in Arlington AND Potomac Mills in Woodbridge.
Well from what I'm gathering, this is what happened:
The military scrambled multiple jets in response because they detected the plane going down and unresponsive.

Who's private jet was that? Some multi millionaires or billionaires. It's not a cheap plane.
I used to live next to an air force base in the lonely wilds of TX. I had a jet do a low sonic boom over me (couple hundred feet maybe). It knocked me to the ground. I'm not sure if it knocked me to the ground out of fear, or out of ground or air movement, but it was so powerful of an "explosion" all my senses went haywire and I found myself on the ground.
A low boom is no small deal.

There was a Cessna crash as well supposedly the plane they were chasing
Lets hope it was a DUMB exploding and Commies from Congress were on a tour...
Did they just find part of their load of missing fertilizer?
Stay cool. That was only Biden falling over on his bicycle again, knocking over a few bricks which knocked over even more bricks which knocked over a car, which rolled down the hill which hit another car which hit Washington Monument which toppled over. That was the big explosion you heard and felt. Case solved.
Hunter Biden meth lab went kaboom. Nothing to see here.

It’s reported that F-16 were chasing a Cessna over Washington Air Space and caused a sonic boom and then the Cessna crashed in Virginia mountains somewhere
Who's private jet was that? Some multi millionaires or billionaires. It's not a cheap plane.
An NRA executive has revealed her 49-year-old daughter and two-year-old granddaughter were killed alongside the girl's nanny and the pilot when a private Cessna plane crashed in Virginia, leaving no survivors.
According to DailyMail
Sonic booms can be impossibly loud, but tend to sound different than explosions. I used to live under flight path for space shuttle returning to landing strip and the boom it generated would shake windows for half the damn state.
It’s a clap or double clap. Sharp edged sound, and short. It’s a crisp sound. Somewhat like the first harmonic of a lighting strike.
Explosions from bombs or fuel tend to be fuzzier and more drawn out. A prolonged fuzzy boom with varying octaves. It just sounds different.
If you heard this boom and it was instantaneous, fast and crisp, short, it was likely a sonic boom. They can carry far more energy than you would think, I still haven’t heard anything as loud as that damn shuttle sonic boom and that was decades ago.
I was in NoVA and heard it first hand...it sounded (to my ears, anyway) like muffled explosions, accompanied by strong shaking to the house and rattling glassware inside. I've also heard sonic booms, and they are JUST as you describe them. Something doesn't feel right about the D.C. phenomena from Sunday.
Deep underground tunnels being destroyed.
If DC isn't in rubble, the boom wasn't big enough....
How about a plane loaded to the brim with Ammonium Nitrate, and crashing into the ground at terminal speed in Virginia?
Check a map. DC isn't by the Chesapeake Bay. I am. No boom.
sonic boom, man, this street fighter 6 viral marketing is getting out of hand

Super sonic aircraft are pretty much military only. Not very many civilian aircraft in use that can exceed 700mph near sea level, the sound barrier is less at higher altitudes. Either way, any shaking of the earth is extremely unlikely from an aircraft. The air disturbance rattles windows and structures that are not very sturdy, but any earth disturbance would be extremely limited in area. Either way, it would not exceed anything more than a very localized area.
A Cessna overflew a restricted area near DC. Jet's were scrambled to intercept it, and broke the sound barrier on approach.
The Cessna later crashed south of Staunton Virginia, but the military is claiming they had nothing to do with the crash.
Maybe they found the "missing" ammonium nitrate?
Someone needs to keep the beans away from Eric Swalwell.
😂
Unless it destroys the city it's a nothingburger
Obviously it's white Hats vanquishing anyone we can imagine connected to any given grievances!
Sonic booms are a thing. It is a compression wave resulting from an aircraft flying faster than the speed of sound. The strength of the wave is measured in overpressure and is roughly proportional to air density (maximum near sea level) and Mach number. Its strength will decay inversely with the radial distance from the line of flight, so it can easily have different felt effects if someone is directly underneath, as compared to someone at a distance. A strong wave will intersect with the ground and reflect, which will cause the pressure ratio across both waves to be squared in intensity. Such a wave can easily impose a structural shock to large fixed structures, which will seem like an earthquake for all practical effects. (The blast of an atomic bomb is simply the shock wave from the nuclear detonation.)
I was in a shooting range once, and some bold fellow was using something like a .454 Casull heavy caliber revolver a few lanes away. When he let it off, it was like a half-ton safe had just dropped 3 stories next to me. I could hardly believe it (and lost all desire to shoot such a weapon). The expulsion of the supersonic cartridge combustion gases produces a shock wave at the muzzle of the weapon, independent of the shock wave from the bullet.
I grew up in SoCal near Edward's AF Base-- the game we played as kids...was that an earthquake or a jet boom? Sonic booms happened daily-- fucking phenomenal to hear/kinda see-- you see the plane and hear the boom far away- nuts! Totally could see how people would think it's an explosion
Well, explosions and sonic booms are the same thing: shock waves. If they didn't sound alike, it would be a mystery. Even very loud noise can produce shock waves, as a long-distance effect of nonlinear acoustics. This is what causes the seeming "pop & crackle" in the sound of a space launch.
And a sufficiently large overpressure can cause buildings to tremble, and a trembling building can communicate through ground shaking. All these phenomena are similar or connected.
Very true-- we got pretty good at deciphering--my dad was a Boeing engineer, we went to air shows A LOT at Edwards- that was a cool part of living there... That and 100% cotton little league uniforms LOL
Really? A single engine fighter jet? NOT a serious military crisis.
What's actually going on? Someone said they saw Marine One taking off from the WH right before the boom.
This is a bullshit cover story. Current military SOP is to not go super sonic over populated areas or you would get reprimanded.
I guess they found that ammonium-nitrate that vanished off a train then, eh?
False flag prevented by WH? A private plane was in the no fly zone over DC, MIL scrambled and intercepted. Explosion big enough to be heard over several states and felt like an earthquake.
Could the plane have been filled with ammonium nitrate??
You have to mix the ammonium nitrate with equal parts orange juice if you want a bomb, but yes.

Let me get this straight. A plane flew over restricted air space, made it to NY, turned around and flew back over same restricted air space and made it to the blue ridge mts before the military sent jets at supersonic speed to intercept? That's a scenario that ought to get the entire chain of command fired. Ridiculous. Just look at a map.
Get out of here with that nonsense. He doesn't have a parachute and where are those mountains? Not personal to you, don't mean to come across rudely BUT COME ON.
Yeah I was wrong, that video is from a long time ago. It just happened to show up on Twitter today with today's date so I thought there was a connection.
The FAA response says it was a Cessna business jet, so obviously that video isn't from this.
Podesta on the run!! Or Schiff,Hildabeast
I fewl like people should be able to recognize a sonic boom cessnas donf ly very high so a jet on an intrrcept would corroborate everything said on the ground
Citation cruise altitude is 37,500 feet.
I was thinking... what was in the plane? When it was taken down it could have exploded mix that with the sonic booms and you have a lot going on but no one saw anything that we know of...
Oh brother. I heard that noise. Huge explosion? No way. Sonic boom? Not like any I've ever heard. So, no. In fact it was quite short with a 'pop' type sound like a weapon fired. And after, no reverberations.
