The Marines are a branch steeped in tradition. Even more so than the rest of the U.S Military. For them to break with Tradition completely and cancel the event outright would certainly be indicative of momentous events behind the scenes.

Yes but while anons get all hopeful that this must surely mean the Marines are helping with the Q operation, isn't it at least as likely to be the evil ones using the Marines to ramp up WWIII in the middle east, Ukraine, or wherever the hell else they feel like having fun?
Well remember, It's not like there's only 10 Marines in the whole corp. There could be a number of operations being enacted plus deployment overseas plus yadayata.
Context: every Marine Corps unit has a ball around Nov 10 each year. This letter is for Centcom, which is the headquarters for Marine operations in the Middle East.
This isn’t THE Marine Corps Ball in DC. Still dasting, but not as impactful as you might think.
True, let's see if any of our other Balls are cancelled, could just be a gung-ho General trying to make a name for himself and surely, piss off his unit
The whole point of my comment was to add context. The number one upvoted comment is saying “how rare this is due to tradition”. I’m simply pointing out it happened just 2 years ago…
FYI, there is also another ball due on Nov 18th, the 2023 PSYOPS ball. ...just putting it out there. Every regiment probably has a ball, but this is one I keep seeing when I check their pics and vids.
Interesting. I know a lot more people than usual dropped out of the Marine Corps Marathon last week, despite the mild weather. A lot of Jarheads (love you guys, but quit pissing on your comm equipment, PLEASE) participate in it.
There isn’t one central “Marine Corps Ball” Marine Corps units everywhere on both coasts hold one, as do oversees Marines. Even Reserve Units hold a Marine Corps Ball regionally at the company or battalion level.
This just means the Marines of CentCom won’t have one this year.
CentCom’s area of operations extends from Egypt to Kazakhstan and is focused primarily on the Middle East.
Understandably they don’t want those forces nursing the inevitable three-day hangover the Ball typically provides.
Having been to many Marine Corps balls, I can assure you, they are a blast…but you do need to pack a spare liver.
Our Navy Corpsmen would often provide us with saline IV rehydration services the day after.

'Call the Ball': The Optical Mirror Landing System
Later, this was shorted to the "ball." When an aircraft is on approach in the groove, the LSO will ask the pilot in the approaching aircraft to "Call the ball," meaning "Tell me when you can see the light." Answering in the affirmative, the pilot will then "fly the ball," so to speak, onto the flight deck.
There's something happening here, what it is is completely clear...shtf already got thousands in the streets, mixed with illegals in several.large cities protesting israel. Didn't Q say there would be unrest or something. Natl guard will step in?
Milley wanted all branches of military to come together for an extraordinary faggot party, monkeypox superspreader event/fashion show and everyone else said no.
Could be something could be nothing. Maybe they simply don’t want a large group of military in a ballroom with spouses & partners to be a target for terrorists.
I don't believe it means a dance, it's reference to pilots coming in to land on a carrier. Call the ball effectively means control has been temporarily transferred

There are veteran Marines on this board right now fighting as Digital Soldiers!
Semper Fi
As a Marine widow, I continue the fight
God bless you sister. I pray that God’s love wraps you in solace.
Thank you and God bless all our military
Oorah!
Yut
Yes, I'm one of them. I served in the Panama Canal Zone and because my oath had no expiration date, I serve here now.
And/or some kinda psyops move. Occam's Razor.
Marines and NAVY are with Q. Something like that was said by someone. I guess Ricardo Bossi.
I don’t take this to mean anything positive… probably preparing for deployment to Israel if anything
I'd give it a 50/50 chance, one way or the other
Well remember, It's not like there's only 10 Marines in the whole corp. There could be a number of operations being enacted plus deployment overseas plus yadayata.
"unforeseen operational commitments."

Me either.
Agree completely. Did they have have the ball inside a combat zone? Isn't the Commandant in the hospital?
This is a 2 star making the decision, applies to the USMC HQ for CentCom. I think they're located in Bahrain.
Tampa
That makes complete sense... figured they would've just positioned them next to the 5th fleet.
I’ve heard others have been cancelled too but not sure which ones
Ok, now makes all the sense in the world. Hot AOR u don't have parties.
Leave always gets cancelled too. "Oh, you bought your place ticket? Hopefully you opted for refundable because fuck you."
I sure could go for some mean tweets right about now.

Agreed. The official site for the USMC Ball still looks like it's on... two dates listed though, 11.10 and 11.11... but this explains it. Thank you!
thank you, i was looking for context on this. was looking around for mention that they've held their balls cough in combat zones.
Thank you.

Nice! Speaking of ball, I wonder if this Scavino tweet from last week could be related in some way...
The Ball is in the Water. It‘s a Marine Ball.
Oh shit I didnt even think of that, good point...makes me wonder even more now lol
Darn bro that's insightful. Good put together.
And they usually float....
Maybe it's a Sub-Marine Ball. ;)
Well, the ball wasn't moving.

Love me some Vincent Kennedy!🦊 Thanks fren!
That's an interesting little video. So much in there.
The 246th ball was cancelled on Nov. 10, 2020 "for covid" which is still after this was posted by Q.
Ah, nutritious context. Thank you, despite the buzzkill.
Double meanings exist. The fact that something has matched in the past in no way suggests that it is not also a reference to something else later.

Don’t read anymore into what I said.
Not going to lie, I gave up on q plan for a bit but lately I've never been more convinced it's HAPPENING
Interesting fren.

The MCM twitter blamed the humidity.... the 67% humidity. https://twitter.com/Marine_Marathon/status/1718658280803770591
I saw something in the comments about the race being diverted at mile marker 17. It could be nothing, but it's interesting.

So they knew about surveillance at TT? Do you think it was a loyalty test for Adm Rogers?
