I couldn't find my regular sinus pressure pill. Sudafed PE and all the house brands of such have been pulled off the shelf, citing some FDA "studies" that "suggest" it doesn't work. That little red pill has staved off migranes for 7+ years! Luckily, for now, I can still get it off the innerwebs BUT, I think they KNOW what works well and try to make it REALLY HARD to obtain. I'm an automobile mechanic for 42+ years and have seen attempts to strangulate the industry through limited parts availability and quality. NOW, THEY'RE DOING IT TO HEALTHCARE!!!

It’s all a money game to those who run Healthcare. Gone are the days of actually providing true health care or caring for the patient,
You're right but there's much more. They know what is effective against their agenda so they take it away. That "Hopey-Changey" thing is no hope for the masses.
I'm going to suggest that the days of patient care and cures died way back at the Flexner Report.
They don’t even use the word patient anymore. It’s ‘client’. All these health group corporations are taking over and calling sick people clients and partners. Commies literally mangle the context of English word definitions and language.
They were calling physicians “prescribers” a few years ago…. Now they’re called “providers”. I feel a huge overhaul of the medical swamp is inbound.
They should just be honest and call them "dealers".
Those days have been gone for a while. In the US, they do not seek the root causes for issues, but treat symptoms only, if you are lucky.
They wanted people to think their allergies were covid. They also didnt want people with covid to use it as a symptom treatment. They also nixed Benadryl for the same reason.
They also realized that last time they should have pulled the "horse paste" off the market ahead of time, they didn't think enough people would figure out it's the same thing as the human medicine.
Like Cuba? All the stories about shortages of medicines and sanitation issues. It’s almost as if this is all…. A playbook.
They nixed off the shelf Benadryl because it was technically not real Benadryl and it did not work.
Real actual Benadryl (in the US) is held behind the Pharmacist counter, while overseas the real stuff is still on the shelves.
Check with your local pharmacist. Many states have taken it off the shelves and put it with the pharmacy behind the counter. It is not a prescription item though. You ask for it and they will keep a record of how much you buy, usually with a I’d or driver license. Sudafed, generically known as Pseudoephedrine, can be used to make speed.
Yeah in Illinois they've been hiding the pseudoephedrine behind the counter since the early 2000s.
Thats methed up
Give this legend an up doot. It’s too early for this type of epic wordplay, we don’t deserve you.
I like your methheads.
Mike Tyson... is that you?
KeK- true. Limit how many you can get in a month so you're not out doing a shake and bake in the parking lot.
That's the REAL sudafed, like to make meth with. It works, but not the same. AND I REALLY DON'T LIKE BEING TRACKED, like with the "savings" tag grocery stores handed out in the '90s.
You don't need to sign for it in my state (CA, and they're the worst on almost everything). They will sell it to you without any registry. It's just behind the counter. That was an FDA thing a number of years ago.
I don’t like being tracked either.
But I do remember something about phenylephrine being taken off shelves. I think they claimed it did not work. But I’m sure it worked for a lot of people. I think it’s silly they took it off the shelf.
Yeah me either, but if you buy it online you are being tracked.
Yes and then when you reach a certain amount in a certain amount of time, they tell you you've reached your limit of times you can purchase it, but when you share the box of allergy pills with multiple family members then you tend to have to come back often to buy more and that's when they say you reached your limit and can't buy anymore, so you and your family go without until they let you buy again. Happens to my husband all the time, he and our daughter take the Zyrtec behind the counter. He feels like it's the only medicine that has helped his sinuses. So, sometime either myself or our daughter has to go buy it, just recently he asked the doctor for a prescription for it because he asked the pharmacist how he can get past this so he can get it when he needs more without triggering the system, and she said to get a prescription.
Heisenberg has entered the chat...
FDA pulled it.
Army vet here. Grew up in texas and was station in texas for some time. funny thing is I never had allergies or sinus problems until after joining the service. I wonder if it developed after all the shots they gave us. Especially after everything that has been coming out lately
Literally worked with an older fella, that was his reasoning for getting the clot shot. He said, with all they shit they shot in us in the service, what could be so bad about this one? I just thought to myself, I don't think they were trying to kill the soldiers quite like they are with this one lol
Peanut butter looking sludge injections!
That's the worst one still!
I'm sorry they do that to people. May you and all those receiving forced injections soon be free of any resulting harm or alteration.
Make it so!
Yup, my husband even had to have emergency surgery on his sinuses while in service and still has issues with his sinuses.
They started trying to do this back in 2022, I remember SaltyCracker talking about stories about it one night and that it's prep for another scamdemic.
Back in 2020 they tried to pull NAC of the shelves, for a while could only find it online through bulk distributors. Then they have up and suddenly it was everywhere again.
I stacked up on NAC back then.
Yes!
I remember when TheraFlu was gone for a bit. Another one that WORKS!!!
NAC isn't much better than vitamin C for basic use as an antioxidant. People make a big deal out of it when a simple glass of fruit juice or a daily multivitamin will provide you with the same benefit for day-to-day health and wellness, things like cancer prevention, immune health, and that sort of thing. You may see glutathione sold for this purpose too. Same deal. Don't spend money on things that you're basically going to piss out into the toilet for minimal to no real health benefit.
I'm not saying NAC isn't safe to take every day. It's fine, but just understand that the function it does is also done by other things in the body. And if you're just wanting an antioxidant for general health, eat some fresh fruit, and save yourself the cost of the pills.
Fruit juice contains way too much fructose to be healthy. Keep drinking that stuff and you'll increase your risk of diabetes and dementia.
I remember them saying that OTC meds would start to disappear. DEPOPULATION
We talking about the little red pills that the Navy Corpsman handed out like candy when we were in the field? I swear USMC healthcare was ibuprofen and these red pills, that's it.
Sudafed PE is phenylephrine, not pseudoephedrine - FYI. Some commenters here are misinterpreting the OP.
You should look at this product https://p2probioticpower.com/allergy-asthma-sinus-description/ It has cleared up my nasal passages Another good product is the Carryion https://carryion.com/ I have the small one (a little pricey, around $600). You can plug the USB port into your computer. It really cleans the air in your room and helps you to breathe and sleep well.
Thank you so much for posting this I'm going to try this.
Any opinion on Gunnel’s Xeolyte spray? It sounds decent enough.
I never used that but I have used Xlear Xylitol spray and it is pretty good.
They were talking about doing this with Benadryl, too.
All chemical health medications that are really working and do not cause side effects to the body are being eliminated.
Replacing them with drugs that harm the body through side effects.
For those taking medications, read the side effects, they can be a time bomb for your health.
90% of the words spoken on TV drug commercials are lists of side effects.
I’m not a medical expert but a nurse friend told me that all pharmaceutical drugs must have a level of toxicity. I think she said guaifenesin (think Mucinex) was the least toxic one. The nurse friend is very awake and has much expertise about supplements.
NAC being pulled was a HUGE wake up call
https://www.medicinenet.com/why_is_nac_being_discontinued/article.htm
When I worked in a pharmacy, 90% of customers buying Sudafed or knockoffs made the comment, "Yeah, the knockoff doesn't work the same, it's not the same." The other 10% didn't make any comment.
If things ever come to that and you are missing meds… try “alldaychemist.com”
It sucks as you order from india and takes 3-4 weeks to get… but if you order in bulk, it works great… I have bought (and taken) all my hcq and ivermectin from that site…
I'd like to share with you my alternative medicine for headaches.
A massage gun.
I used to get some icepick migranes. at least one icepick stab a year.. out of the blue.
I bought a massage gun, and put the soft ball attachment on it one day when i had a headache, and laid the massage gun tip sideways on the spot.
I haven't had migranes for years. I also have no back problems or other muscular problems. I use this about 1 time a week for 30-40 minutes over my body, where needed (or over known bad spots), before bed.
Always sideways.
The medical system & pharmaceutical system is completely & irrevocably corrupt. It needs a complete overhaul from an overly dependent profit centered system. Also these little tin pot boards, commissions & associations should not have control over the doctor or the pharmacy.
This may sound too simple but try saline spray. A couple few $ in the allergy section of the grocery store. Works amazingly well for my hayfever and dust/pollen allergy respite. Only when it’s really bad do I go to a Claritin or benedril
Stop taking pills. Take curcumin.
Can I get it in pill form?
Yes.
I have seen it at Walmart in capsules. It is often labeled as Turmeric Curcumin but the strength of the curcumin can vary a lot.
Yes. on amazon or health food store
Yes, in capsule form. Make sure to get it with piperine (which makes it bioavailable).
You van also buy the powder and just take it in food or drink. I like it in cottage cheese.
I find that Tylenol works for this. I don't often get sinus headaches, but last night I got a doozy of a headache. Two Tylenol and I was sitting pretty 😍 congrats on being an auto mechanic for 42+ years. You know skills for older cars that I'm envious of. I only get a small taste of that doing valve adjustments on my M3.
I had life-long sinus issues, beginning at age 17. Two surgeries only provided temporary improvement. Yearly sinus infections required Z-Pak antibiotics to cure.
16 months ago I changed my diet (low carb, high protein) and went to OMAD (one meal a day) and one of the side effects, of many, is that my 40 years of sinus issues disappeared completely.
This may be a silly question, ut have you ever tried excedrine migraine? That stuff works miracles for me. Also, in Texas, they put the real Sudafed behind the counter and make you use an ID to purchase. In an effort (allegedly) to stop people from using it fir the ephedrine in it to make speed.
That stuff hasn't worked for many years. Try saline rinses with a little Lugold iodine and a little horsey paste. You won't need the sinus meds. Better off without them
Lots of BS in these answers. Pharmacist anon here.
Sudafed used to contain pseudoephedrine (PS). It's a good nasal decongestant that shrinks the blood vessels in your nasal passages. It works well and comes with a few side effects you should talk to your personal pharmacist or doctor about when you buy it that can affect your heart. The downside to it is that it's pretty easy to convert to methamphetamine with household products, so the DEA decided to crack down on it many years ago in an effort to protect middle America from a raging drug epidemic.
The market shifted in response and Sudafed was made with a similar drug called phenylephrine (PE). This is where that PE comes from in the name Sudafed PE. PE is pretty awful as a nasal decongestant. Data are pretty clear that it does little to nothing, but it was legal and safe and couldn't be made into meth, so it was used. Nearly every cold medicine that had pseudoephedrine in it was remade and remarketed with PE instead.
The FDA sat on their hands with this for years, knowing that the PE was pretty terrible. Finally, they came clean and made the statement officially under pressure from pharmacists pissed off about what amounted to legal snake oil sales. When that happened, the manufacturers stopped making it because they knew people wouldn't buy something that didn't work, and drug stores stopped stocking it for the same reason. This is a good thing. You're not paying for something that doesn't work.
If you still need a nasal decongestant for 2-3 days, ask your pharmacist for Sudafed or pseudoephedrine. They'll have it behind the counter and be happy to sell it after a few questions to make sure you don't have certain conditions that would be unsafe to take it.
However, it sounds like you're dealing with headaches. Neither pseudoephedrine or PE are good at treating headaches. Again, chat with your pharmacist or your doctor and they'll refer you to something that will help for the symptoms you're having. It may be something simple like Aleve (naproxen) or Excedrine (acetaminophen, aspirin, caffeine), or you may need something prescription strength depending on the type of headaches you're having. Regardless, PS and PE do squat for headaches, so let's get you something that will help.
Disclaimer: this is a random poster on the internet claiming to have medical information. Talk to an actual licensed professional who can assess you personally, ask about your condition and medical history, and properly diagnose and treat you. This is the nasal spray mix that my Greek doctor prescribed for sinusitis, which followed my cold last year. I might have miscopied the handwriting:-
1.0 "Aurid spray", (which seems to be budesonide).
0.5 Otrivin drops.
0.5 Tobramycin drops (= O-3-amino-3-deoxy-?-D-9 glucopyronosyl-(1-6)-O-[2.6 diamino - 2,3,6 - trideoxy - A - D-ribo - hexopyranosyl - (1 - 4)] - 2 - deoxy - streptamine.)
This is mixed by a pharmacist in the ratios indicated. Shake before use.
I talked to a licensed professional I have known a few years at a hobby national event back when Covid was just ending.
We got into a discussion about ivermectin that almost ended in blows. He kept telling me he had a PHD in pharmacology and that ivermectin didn't work, and I told him he was full of shit that I had taken it, and was still taking it.
He stated he didn't have to listen to that shit and got up and walked away. I told him 'don't let the door hit you in the ass'.
A big pharma education is an indoctrination into their control system.
You’re totally onto something! I’ve noticed this myself. They don’t want us to have access to real care and products that work. Remember when they took NAC off of Amazon during Covid? And burned down the Ivermectin plants? These bastards are playing to kill. My daughter is really sick right now with Covid after many vaccines during nursing school. My hate and disgust run deep.
Insert meme: "always have been"
Pfizer probably has some replacement for it like an MRna pill you can take. Stay tuned.
Colloidal Silver nasal spray, try it for anything sinus, hay fever etc related, you'll like it.
Sudafed (and all generic versions) are still OTC, but they are not on the shelf, they are behind the counter and you have to ask for them and show ID when you purchase them. The reason for this is that they contain the main ingredient needed for making methamphetamine, they don't want people buying tons of Sudafed OTC and then setting up meth labs in their basement, and if someone tries going from store to store trying to buy a couple boxes at each place they want to have ID information so they can make sure their purchases are legitimate and they're not running a meth lab.
Watched a youtube video about 20,000 dollar cars. ALL the manufacturers have stoped building them. Their are no affordable new cars now. Reason, no demand, REAL REASON, profit margins. These ass clowns are still trying to get us to buy battery operated cars. FFS!!!!!
This is true. Now the question is…. How did they get approval in the first place? You need to show 🙄 efficacy during approval trials.
I used to take it as well. Also, my cell service has been awful lately and others have complained about it as well.
From my understanding Sudafed PE is practically useless and barely better than a placebo if at all. Normal Sudafed is what you're looking for and should still be available behind counter (it's controlled due to it's potential to be turned to Meth).
There's been talk that vitamins will soon be something you have to see your "Doctor" to get. I know I've been hearing it for years, however I have no doubt it will be so before my kids hit adulthood...
In Colorado those cold/allergy meds that have pseudoephedrine as the active ingredient are behind the counter. You don’t need a prescription but you have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter.
I know because pseudoephedrine is the only sinus allerg relief that works for me. The other stuff, still available, doesn’t do anything. Might as well be a placebo.
Sometimes over the counter drugs are moved behind the counter if it's being abused by a certain 'people group' or a new study finds an ingredient requires pharmacists to caution parents or people in general. Try a pharmacy with an on duty pharmacist to ask in case you tried to buy it at a store with no pharmacist - which I am sure you must have asked about it. As a fellow migraine sufferer, I sympathize. If my migraine is of the sinus variety, I need my Benedryl! Mostly they are aura type. Hope you found some!
