Dear Kaneland Staff and Families: As you know, the Kaneland staff have the opportunity to receive their second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine Tuesday through Thursday this week. The second dose is affecting many of our staff members with a variety of side effects. We have approximately 125 teachers and support staff members that have called in sick today. Unfortunately, there are not enough substitutes to cover the absences of our staff.
Therefore, there will be NO SCHOOL today, Thursday, March 11, 2021 for any Kaneland student. This day will be considered an emergency day and one makeup day will be added to the end of the school year. The last day of the 2020-2021 school year will be announced after spring break.

My father-in-law went to the hospital the day after his jab and won’t be coming home. He was moved to assisted living as his mind is now gone. He had his own business and was doing fine until the shot, but there is “no correlation” to the jab and his declining health. I don’t get the ignorance of people blindly trusting doctors. My eyes were opened when an allergist put my son on montelukast and after a few months, my son started asking about the meaning of life and crying for no reason. This was a healthy and happy kid with allergies, researched side effects and turns out a simple allergy pill can cause depression. Got him off of it and thankfully he returned to his former self. Can confirm I work for my towns school district and a bunch of teachers and other staff have been getting the vax and are calling out of work due to sides. They were even joking about it in our daily morning meeting this morning, a young guy hes like 23, got his first shot. He said he felt fine and two other guys joked that Bill Gates is tracking him now, the 23 yr old guy said "ya and I can see weather updates through my eyes." I sure hope the vaccine doesn't end up being a ticking time bomb whose worst side effects aren't known or seen for a few years. FYI according to the CDC the Moderna COVID-19 clinical trail had less than 15,500 people participating in it. Based on the study that ran for around 4 months they recommended to the FDA that the vaccine should be approved for emergency use. The FDA approved it for emergency use based on NO FDA study only what the drug manufacture told them. This goes for all the COVID vaccines. This is like letting an airline manufacture tell the NTSB and FAA that they tested the plane and it's totally safe and they should start using it ASAP.
Also, It came to my attention that a lot of the Life Insurance Companies will not pay the death benefits if you get the shop and happen to die from it, because the vaccine is considered to be experimental and they will not cover that. I wonder how many people found that out the hard way. Sadly enough, I've heard of two. Both distant acquaintances. I am told that one got flat out denied, and the other is still in negotiation.
