It gives credibility to the information that Trump was recruited by the Military to work with them to make the worldwide destruction of the DS easier and less disruptive economically, etc. His term allowed the Military to fully prepare (recovering from the damage done by Obummer) and "set the stage" for the movie.

When I look into Pence's face all I can see is the beady eyes. I don't know if all the rumors are true, I do know he can play both sides of the fence. What I don't know is why Trump allowed himself to be surrounded by so many turncoats? So many in his administration had no business being there. I do know the saying keep your friends close and your enemies closer but there just seemed to be a whole lot of people who were not Trump loyalists.
Ask yourself this, had Trump not done things the way he did, would you know all that you know today? He made many decisions that look terrible now, but after all is said and done, we'll understand why he did so.

very little choice on who tp bring in to the white house. reality is that most of those who are Qualified to run the executive branch are compromised to varying degrees. Trump also had to rope a dope the republican party into not destroying his run for the presidency... Pence and his friends thought that trump would slowly lose support to the point that they could impeach him within the first 9 months.
