Is this not normal? Buildings catch on fire easily while trees don’t. Forests burn so well because of dry tinder on the ground burning for long periods of time which is what it takes to catch a tree on fire.
Test it yourself, go outside and hold some fire to a tree and see how long it takes for the tree to burn. Keep a hose handy lol.

With our summer storms and humidity it is all but impossible for natural forest fires to stat or spread.
