Was Santa Claus created to divert from Jesus?
posted 3 years ago by georock 3 years ago by georock +137 / -0

After going through the fall of the cabal i kept getting this feeling that Santa was only created to distract us from Jesus during Christmas...No other religion has this, same with easter and a fucking rabbitt

The argument is that Christmas is all about material goods and does not represent Jesus at all.

His father said there are other ways to the father. “Many roads” as he put it. It is pagan and it is actually preached against by our Lord himself.

Oprah said the same thing.

The ONLY way to the Father is Jesus Christ. He preached that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Period.

Yes it is Billy Grahams book. He has said that even Muslims can go to heaven. That is a lie. There is only one way and that is Jesus! Without the son you do not have the father and you cannot BELIEVE the son and things that are antithetical to his teaching if you in fact have the Holy Spirit of truth abiding within your soul. Ecumenism is the false docterine that Christ tried to warn us about. It is in fact the One world religion of self that will be led by the antichrist! As a pastor it is my duty to warn of these things. Many will go to hell that repeated a prayer yet never got saved. Many will come saying, “Lord Lord!” And he will say, “depart, I never knew you.” I am not trying to be hyper spiritual. I am trying to help wake people up to the lies that have been told by pastors in pulpits that only preach what they were taught. Most seminaries teach from C.I. Scofeilds references and Heritic docterines that have been spread by the likes of John Nelson Darby. Many false teachings out there that are not even mentioned in scripture yet preachers twist it up to fit their ideology. A pastors success should not be merited by how many fill out a commitment card or how many raised their hand after repeating a prayer, but by how many true deciples are converted. So many claim to know Jesus yet they never open scripture only to quote what they were taught to memorize in Sunday school. A relationship with the Master is easy to spot. You’ll know it by (How into the word) a person is. It becomes an obsession that will have you labeled as a Bible thumper. Now, I am not saying that Billy Graham wasn’t saved but only acknowledging what he himself has preached. There are Catholics that are born again, Pentecostals, but the majority are not. It’s a social club. A Muslim cannot be born again or else they would reject that teaching. This goes for all religions. If someone has the Holy Spirit then the world does not jive with them. Please understand I am not trying to be pompous but just trying to open minds. It is hard to preach the truth and come across as humble because there are so many false teaching that people believe and they don’t even know the author. There is a difference between knowing about a guy named Jesus ( which is a belife) and actually Knowing Jesus (in the way you know your mother, father, spouse, or sibling) the Belief is more important and knowing that his shed blood is the only way. The Bible says to not even bid God speed to anyone preaching another gospel than that which we have been given. Paul was infatict about this. Much love. I mean all love and joy. In brotherly love and edifice without division.

Thanks. I too saw Billy Graham at Arrohead stadium in KCMO. What bugged me was all the kids that rushed down to proclaim the got saved when in reality they were just trying to “fit in with what was popular at the moment.” I see it first hand as a pastor. I always wonder how many false confessions did Graham bring forth?

Is south America and other parts of the world, gifts were not given on Christmas at all. Some small things were exchanged on Epiphany , aka Three Kings day, in January. Whatever European and North American commercial nonsense came in went and poisoned all that.

Honestly His death should be, and is celebrated along with His resurrection. He gave His life in a most painful way so that we could all be forgiven. The biggest selfless act of love in history. If that isn't worthy of celebrating then nothing is. Both parts - the death and the resurrection - should be celebrated. It's not celebrating that Jesus died - it is celebrating that He died for everyone.

No He didn't. Lol. He called for remembrance, not celebration. The only God-approved "holidays" are scriptural: tabernacles, passover and pentecost. Christmas is not Godly. Christmas is not ok. Bring wrath upon your house if you wish.

We identify with Christ through His death and resurrection.

Let me be perfectly clear: if you celebrate Christmas, you're none of His and you won't be seeing heaven for quite some time. Serve yourself and your little gods. Time's up.

Had two instances as a little girl that really turned me off about Santa. While my parents were shopping for kindergarten supplies for me, I wandered off to look at clothes. I glanced up in front of me and a few feet away was a man in front of me who resembled Santa. He began exposing himself and motioned for me to come to him. I screamed and ran to my parents who told store managers but my mom didn’t want police called “so as not to further traumatize me” Later the same year, my parents decided to take me to see Santa in the mall. A huge line of kids and me at the end. Just before me, Santa went to lunch and I never saw him. Never took my kids to a Santa either and they don’t take the grandkids. They say they didn’t miss anything.

They're taking it steps further by introducing "Elf on a shelf". My wife and I said hello no we don't need an Elf in the house.

Consider the very name "Easter." The name comes from a Pagan goddess, possibly with connections to Ishtar. It has absolutely nothing to do with Christianity, and yet Christianity's most important holiday is named after it.

This is now the stance of my daughters and sons in laws. They are born again Christians and believe Jesus is the messiah but in their search to find a church that didn’t shy away from entire bible and would call out sin for what it is, they chose to be messianic jews and now celebrate Hanukah. They worship on Saturday (true Sabbath) and chew in my husband and I for our Sunday church and eating pork and shellfish. I agree in the Sabbath and unwillingness if most churches to call out sin. Xmas is one of the earliest iterations of Christmas. X was shorthand for Christ. The first two letters of Christos in the Greek spelling, Chi Rho, X and P.

The Chi Rho is one of the very first symbols of the early Christian church. Constantine's army had the Chi Ro symbol on their shields.

No. It wasn't.

For anyone whose ancestry traces back to what is now the British Isles, Europe, Scandinavia, and Russia: People lived in those regions long before Christianity came to them. They had a remarkably well-organized civilization (see Brehon Law in Ireland, for one) and were not ignorant savages living in degeneracy.

They would not have survived those climates for long if they were. They had to work together, look out for their own, and understand the world around them (natural science) if they were going to make it through, and they did.

The beautiful objects they made survive today in museums. Their customs and traditions became part of Western civilization, and one of those customs was taking care of everyone at the middle of winter - the Winter Solstice.

That is where our customs of gift-giving and going home at Christmas come from. Be proud of your brave and generous long-ago ancestors who created such ways of living.

This explains why, for the most part, Christianity did not have to be forced on these people. It made sense to them and it was easily combined with their other traditions, like the one about gift-giving on the Solstice. So that's what they did. As we still do today.

"Santa Claus" traces back to the kings and chiefs of these tribes making sure everyone had enough food, clothes, and warmth at midwinter to get through until spring. The carol about "Good King Wenceslas" is about exactly this.

So, no. It wasn't.

Consider the commentary in Christmas traditions from this podcast. They regularly bring on biblical scholars to round table ancient near eastern history and concepts to help us understand the worldview of the Bible’s authors. I regularly find their works puts to rest a lot of the nonsense speculation that sometimes runs rampant in our quest for Truth.

I'm personally disappointed to see so many defenders of the Santa psyop responding, but the programming runs deep. What is even good about Santa? Yeah there were good things about the original Saint Nicholas but the modern day Santa doesn't do anything positive for a kid's psyche or a family's celebration.

Easter is not "First Fruits" (Resurrection day) Christmas is not the Birth day of Messiah, That would be Sukkot the 15th day of the 7th month Tishrei 3998 / Thursday, September 26, 3 BCE. Easter is the calibration of the goddess of sexual pleasures. or the spring time goddess. hence Rabbits and eggs and other fertility symbols. Christmas was once called Saturnalia and was the festival of the winter solstice The birth of the sun god, Sul Invictus Mithras . The principal gods of the pagan pantheon are all sun related. Both the equinox and the solstice have gods or goddesses marking the events. Although the gods have different names their origin is from the same person or event. (Example; Jupiter, Zeus, Tamuz, Mithras are all the same god, the Sun god.) All share the winter Sulstice December 25 as their birthday. I know that it is Dec. 21 in modern time, but 3 thousand years ago it was the 25 day of the then 10th month. Antiochus Epiphanes , celebrating the birth day of his god killed a pig in the Temple of God in Jerusalem Sparking the Maccabean revolt and that is why Hanukkah and Xmas are at the same time. Thank Pope Gregory for Xmas being on Dec. 25 .

Santa is an acronym of Satan. Christ mass is not about his birth. The Catholic mass is always about his death. All of their crosses have Christ still impelled upon it.

Santa is an anagram of Satan. A clause is a covenant.

In 1659, the Massachusetts Bay Colony enacted a law called Penalty for Keeping Christmas. The notion was that such “festivals as were superstitiously kept in other countries” were a “great dishonor of God and offence of others.”

All us kids, meaning my brothers and sister did the Santa thing growing up, but Jesus was front and center during Christmas time. My mother was a faithful a Christian as ever existed. Santa never replaced Jesus as the meaning of Christmas in our home.

I believe so that's why I choose to focus on Jesus and not lie about Santa (I say how he was based on someone real). Then when my kid acts up I say I will not bring you toys on Christmas and I become the rule enforcer which I think has more strength than saying a fictional character will punish you

The reality of what everyone is celebrating is God becoming man; the Word becoming flesh. God in man lived a human life, went into death, and came out as a life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45). In the Spirit are all the riches of Christ, the God-man. The riches of Christ include all that God is, because the fullness of the Godhead dwelled in Him bodily (Col. 2:9). Along with all that, He was a man living out God in a human life, and He was a man who was raised from the dead by the eternal Spirit. When we are regenerated, we are joined to Him and become one spirit with Him (1 Cor. 6:17).

Then the agape love of God, which was ultimately expressed by Christ laying down His life for His enemies, becomes the love in us, even for our enemies. This love is a "pouring out" love. This love was expressed by brother Nicolas and many others in their care for others in need. This is what people call, "the spirit of Christmas." Really, it is the love of God, embodied in Christ, brought to us by the fellowship of the Spirit, and lived out through us.

No where in scripture does it say to celebrate the birth of Christ. It is a false holiday.

His crucifixion is what you need to celebrate, for it brought forgiveness of sin

Growing up I was taught that Christmas is not biblical. When you read up on it it is obvious that it is not written anywhere to celebrate the birth of Jesus on a day that was picked on a "best guess" . so technically we should not be celebrating Christmas but if seeing it as a way to openly showcase your faith to the libtards, then I guess I can bend a little. I also think that Christmas and Easter has been twisted to being very material. there has been a hard-line effort to shift people from the real reason behind these events. Shift them towards buying trees, decorations , lights, a bazzillion gifts, elves , reindeer, fat Santa , an ugly bunny (who came up with this?)etc.... There is so much that its an overload and people very easily forget to be still, pray and give thanks to the most high for everything that was provided to them. As a Christian i have to bring this back to Jesus as the reason and nothing else.

Lol, I literally had a thought yesterday that's similar to this. I said to my wife "what if the real conspiracy is this: Jews wrote a bunch of Christmas songs and I don't know if many of them mention Jesus. The real conspiracy could be Jews writing Christmas songs to detract from Jesus and take Christ out of Christmas?"

Then I laughed because I don't think it's true in the least.
