I remember typing a report on vaccines at Lenoir Community College (I’ve already talked about that place) and having to use “reliable” sources. We had typed essays on fact checking and making sure our sources were reliable.
It wasn’t until well after Covid started that being anti vax became acceptable amongst the common plebs. We talked about this at work a lot. People didn’t care weather you got vaccinated or not and in many cases were openly hesitant about it, which is different from the norm before the pandemic.
It may be different where you are. I’m in onslow/craven counties in North Carolina so it’ll be a different experience than if you are in deep red Oklahoma or, on the flip side, deep blue Massachusetts
