I am not sure why they would have adult doses of RSV antibodies at a peds office. But if you have the dose they administered and the specific name of the antibody, I would call poison control at 1-800-222-1222. They will be more than happy to discuss it!

Vaccines are not manufactured in pre-measured exact doses for different ages. The bottle comes with a certain amount of liquid vaccine in it at a certain concentration, and you vary the dose by varying the volume that you inject.

For example, the proper dose for an infant might be 0.1 ml, and the proper dose for an adult might be 0.3 ml. Both injections are taken from the same bottle. What OP is saying is that his baby was injected with the adult volume instead of the infant volume.

Big Pharma is pushing the 'new' RSV vaccine for people over 65 very hard right now. Which, by the way, is complete bullshit because RSV is only potentially dangerous the first time you get it, which will 99.9999999% of the time be as a young child or infant since we all get infected by it almost every cold and flu season for our entire lives. Once you've had it the first time, you develop lifelong antibody protection and only get cold symptoms that can't be told apart from a common cold without expensive testing. As long as your immune system is functioning properly, RSV is never a danger except possibly the very first time you get it as a child.

I get it I am a physician. But the new rsv shots like nirsemivab are antibodies not vaccines and the amount of medication that should have been in one vial is the 50 mg per 0.5 ml for a neonate. The dose the child should have received would be 50 mg the entire vial. This is not a large amount of volume for a child. They would have had to inject multiple vials which seems insane to me!

I am a nurse. I've witnessed nurses do shit like multiple vials and think WTF, how, why, WTF? Physicians and nurses aren't allowed to critically think any more. I witness it everyday I go to work. Do my best to protect our patients.

As an RN also, I now wonder why we don’t have a double check by another RN to verify dose for everything injected since neonates are at the highest risk for wrong dosage? I’m terrified of even pediatric patients receiving wrong dose for versed which we give almost always preop. And we do our own math in front of another RN to verify pharmacy is correct. And then witness the waste. Seems this should be standard practice for all medications for our most small and vulnerable patients.

Unless the brand you are familiar with is not the only brand of RSV vaccine available, and other manufacturers are not producing single-use vials like that. Vaccines traditionally have been produced in vials containing a volume equating to a set number of adult doses per vial. 10 doses per vial is a common volume for many vaccines.

And I understand the difference between antibodies and vaccines, but I see no reason (other than safety) why an antibody infusion would be manufactured in different vials than vaccines, especially since they're marketing it as an 'RSV vaccine', not an 'RSV antibody infusion'. Single use vials are definitely safer in order to prevent the type of mistake made by the OP's pediatrician, but single use vials are also a lot more expensive per dose to produce. Some companies may take the hit to their profit margin in the name of safety, but I'd bet that not all of them do.

– ItsDevolutionBaby 1 point 2 years ago +1 / -0

There are a few new antibodies being used in children for rsv. From reviewing package inserts etc it appears most are single use. But you are right if they are using multi dose vials they could easily screw up the dose.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– SassyLass 1 point 2 years ago +1 / -0

There *shouldn't be any multi-use vials. It is one of the safety standards most hospitals and clinics follow per TJC. However the vial May not be being reused, but depending on patients weight, the whole vial may not be utilized. See my comment to u/BWolf79 and doing double verify.

Adults almost never get RSV, but with immune systems shot by the Covid shot, that might be causing adults to get RSV, or it is a scare scam to make more money with yet another shot.

Adults get RSV almost every cold and flu season, and always have. But because they have lifelong antibody protection developed after their first childhood RSV infection, the symptoms are exactly the same as a mild cold and you can't tell the difference without expensive testing.

What did the doctor suggest for your child? Symptoms to look for? Get everything in writing. Make sure it is on your child’s record, vaccinated with wrong dose, what the dose was, who gave the vaccine, everything you can think of. Don’t believe them if they say, oh the kid will be fine, that’s a way for them to cover themselves. And you might should report it, not to get them in trouble, but to cover any potential side effects that may occur down the road. There are many drugs out there that have side affects that people only find out about later, sometimes much later. And then it’s too late to hold them accountable. Prayers for you and your family that your baby suffers no side effects.

Seems this is for 60+ and for pregnant mothers. If this is legit a ped’s office, may want to ask why they’d ever purchase this and/or report directly to Pfizer and FDA. No reason for a pediatrician to carry this and I bet you aren’t the only one who got this call if it got stocked at a pediatrician, for whatever reason.

Prayers for your family, Friend.

Open this and download it to your hard drive. Abrysvo is NOT approved for children. (See the statement under "Warnings". Info current as of August 22, 2023).

I'm not a doctor and this is not medical advice, but it appears this drug is typically given to pregnant women (allegedly) so that their newborn will be protected from respiratory issues for the first several months of life. That said, there doesn't appear to be many side-effects listed for the mother outside of the initial jab other than potential fatigue, headache and pain at the injection site and a possible allergic reaction (including severe) which would happen shortly after the injection.

Definitely speak to the doctor again and/or a hospital physician and/or poison control as some anons have suggested. Assuming your child has not had an allergic reaction I'd assume that would be a good sign. Again though, I'm not a doctor so I have no medical knowledge whatsoever of the risk factors associated with this mistake. A baby, pre-birth would have gotten the dose in the shared bloodstream with their mother during pregnancy. In your child's case, they got an adult-sized dose directly.

I'll pray for your child as well as you and your wife that this won't cause any ill effects whatsoever and that your child will be blessed with robust health. 🙏✝️

Absolutely this! ^^^

The RSV vax is meant for 60-65+ seniors! WHY in the heck did a PEDIATRICIAN recommend this for a ONE MONTH OLD?? A little baby that's only been outside the womb for 4 weeks, and the doctor is like "Um yes, the RSV vax meant for senior citizens is totally okay for your tiny and vulnerable baby at the tender age of just 4 weeks old. No we don't offer refunds, why do you ask?"

If anything happens to this baby, especially (God forbid) if the baby dies, (please God protect this little one!), that clinic is absolutely responsible for knowingly giving a vax meant for OLD people to a baby, AND giving a MASSIVE dosage that a baby's body was never meant to handle!

The problem I’m having is the “adult dosage”. How would a medical place designed for infants and small children even use the term “adult dosage”. It’s incorrect on every level. Now the term “overdosed”. That would be correct. If the doctors are using the term adult dosage from a pediatrician, then correct them by saying “you overdosed my child”. They know this is major. And are downplaying by using those terms. Don’t let them. Scare the crap outta them with truth. Hopefully his newborn will be ok.

We refer to the daily post any question which comes along which is not directly q related or happenings related.

We usually allow prayer requests etc.

I'm bending the rules a bit and giving this post some time on the main forum.

Before Q, I believed the anti-vaxxers were simple-minded morons. Now, I’m aware. I feel like vax regret/warnings is Q related because of how it ties to the bigger picture of the GAW. 🤷‍♂️

Not a criticism of mods in anyway. I wouldn’t want your job. Thanks for all you do. 👍

Dear Fren,

I know you're panicking right now.

Please pray for your baby and keep a close eye on any symtoms.

Also, make a report to the VAERS registry, just to have it on file.

Demand the doctor give you advice on how to mitigate any possible side effects. In that vein, I found this, I hope it's true. The pertinent paragraph is below. Praying for you and baby.

https://www.immunize.org/technically-speaking/20130301.asp

If you administer too large a dose If you’ve administered too large a dose (e.g., you’ve given an “adult” dose to a child) instead of the correct dose of hepatitis A, hepatitis B, or influenza vaccine, inform the patient, parent or guardian of the administration error and document it in the medical record. This dose counts as valid. Although it is unlikely that your patient will suffer any untoward side effects from receiving a “double dose” of vaccine, using larger-than-recommended dosages can result in excessive local or systemic concentrations of antigens or other vaccine constituents. When errors of this nature occur, it is important to assess how the error happened and to implement strategies to ensure they will not be repeated. Administering larger-than-recommended doses of any vaccine does not negate the need for subsequent recommended doses.

According to drugs.com this injection is not approved for children. It should never have been administered to a child/infant. It's meant for adults only - pregnant women in the third trimester or elderly adults. That said, it doesn't appear to be a "risky" product (and this is NOT a medical assessment as I'm not a physician), not many side-effects and most appearing at the injection site and shortly after the administration of the shot (for any allergic reaction).

I'm praying it will turn out to be benign for the baby and all will be fine. The baby would have gotten the dose pre-birth through the bloodstream shared with the mother so it's not a drug that has never been "administered" (in a sense), even indirectly in the fetal stage, to infants.

Is babe on breast milk? Do you have colostrum in the freezer? It would have been the first week of breast feeding your wife would have pumped and saved some? Other options for a 1 month old are high dose c. Given through a dropper or if mama is breastfeeding she can do a high dose and breastfeed. We are talking about 10.000 units a day for mom, she will get diarrhea but that means it’s working to detox. Get on childrens health defense and look up protocol for babies after jabs. Don’t ever let a doctor bully or talk your wife into a “new” shot or an old one. If she can’t say no then you do it for her.

I would like to believe that if everyone was just presented with information that they would make the correct decision, but I do not.

There are many parents that had children with lifelong injuries and even fatal results from "normal" vaccine dosages. At this point, willingly ignorant is the only explanation. There is an explosion of disease in recent decades. To simply trust the science is outright stupidity. It is not science. It is marketing at the expense of life. Eat sugar and seed oils. Take the vaxx. It's "science"

If you choose to look into a detox of some kind which may helpful, seeking the care and appreciation of a reputable healthcare professional would be a good idea, especially for such a young child. Anon, first of all I am so sorry to hear this happened. Checkout this site - it is the most comprehensive site about vaccine damage and has been there for years. I sincerely hope the baby will be okay and you will find he best way to undo this.

That said, please also consider this an opportunity to educate your wife about the dangers of vaccines. Only around 30% of the vaccines in the childhood schedule are actually necessary and the rest just accumulate toxins.

We have realised that taking children to doctors is a very dangerous process and its best if both the parents go together so that the doctors do not coerce one parent into doing things they dont want to.

Didnt realise it was going to be so hard to find it. Even on Yandex I seem to get only pages criticising antivaxx. There is a name for that vaccine schedule that many parents use when they are not fully on board cutting off all vaccines. I have been scratching my head trying to find that name.

I wish I had never vaccinated my children. I do have some awesome news though. My daughter stopped vaccinating my grandchildren. Her first two children received the first three and four years of recommended vaccines, but her last two children did not receive any. Perhaps this is proof that vaccines hinder the immune system ... her two youngest children rarely ever catch a cold and if they should it never lasts more than half a day. The two older ones occasionally get colds which can last a day or two. I have no proof that it is because they received several shots early in life, but it is interesting that only the two that have not been vaccinated seem much healthier.

I talked to my youngest and his fiance today - if I knew 33 years ago what I know now, I definitely would not have had them receive even one vax. There was a very informative thread on X today too - apparently none of the trials for childhood vaxes were against a pure saline placebo. They used an older version of the vax, or a different type of vax or even aluminum and thimerosal. That is a huge issue for me. How could they not use a pure control group? If I refind the thread, I'll post if no one else has yet.

They get away with doing that by claiming it's "unethical" to deny the control group treatment/protection from a disease. Of course this muddies the data and benefits the vaccine maker, because as you stated, you don't have a true, gold-standard, placebo-controlled study.

My gut tells me everything will be okay but I would DEFINITELY consider consulting legal advice about malpractice. It’s an unfortunate situation but document literally everything even tiny side effects and that way even if nothing happens you have it on record and all of that.

I never used to be litigious but the medical system is jacked and they need every penny taken from them especially when children are involved. But either way make sure to keep solid documentation heaven forbid you need it

Research what side effects can be for the child dosage and the adult. Maybe also call the Poison Control Center to ask if they have any information on wrong dosage for RSV. If the pediatrician did not tell you what to look for, side effects, etc. call him back. Ask him what the worst case scenario would be. Maybe record, his comments and tell him you are doing so. I am not an attorney, bit with children I believe you have until age 18 to sue for damages. It is not in your best interests to start any legal proceedings when you don’t know the long term impact, but you could consult a malpractice attorney. Like others have said, I would seriously reconsider any further vaccines. Many vaccines are contaminated with heavy metals and other foreign objects and most have NOT been adequately tested, despite what Big Pharma, the FDA, NIH, and CDC say. Do not let yourself be bullied into giving vaccines. I am a retired RN and I used to believe in the CDC, FDA, and doctors. No longer do I trust any of them or hospitals. They are all out for money which pediatricians are rewarded handsomely for having a percentage of their patients fully vaccinated. They are rewarded by BIG PHARMA. If I had it to do over, I would never vaccinate my children and I would home school.

Step one: Divorce

Step two: Sue

Everyone makes mistakes, an hopefully the child will be okay. It is often difficult for a parent, especially an emotional mother, to stand strong when a health care professional is sing persuasive. I certainly don’t feel divorce talk is warranted whether in jest or not. In times like this parents need to support each other and focus on the welfare of the child over the next few days. Hopefully this will be an important lesson regarding health professionals, vaccines and hospitals. It is to soon to sue, but I would contact a malpractice attorney regarding documentation of dates of all prior vaccines, discussions regarding the improper dose given and physician advise, any advise from the Poison Control Center, and carefully document the child’s temperature and behavior for a full 2 weeks. Document conversations thus far: pediatrician’s RSV shot recommendations, anything the nurse or medical assistant said during administration, the phone call from the doctor. Do it while fresh in you memory. Call the doctor back with questions. Any unusual infant behavior, go immediately to the ER, preferably at a large teaching hospital, not a suburban hospital or urgent care. Teaching hospitals have the latest equipment and tend to be more up to date on new procedures.

Pray. And praying for you. "Oh my Jesus, I firmly confess that you are the only true healer of body and soul. Be mindful of your servant, who compelled by the threats of the mighty, has accepted this potion unwittingly or against his/her will. If it be harmful in any way to the spirit, body or soul of my child, break its strength with your power. I ask this through the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, St. Joseph Most Just, and Mary Ever Virgin. In the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."

Keep doing what ur doing and get as much info as u can. Document everything. But also call a lawyer. That could be life altering what the shithole nurse did. And do not say anything to that doctors office. Sue the piss off that office if u can. And time for a new pediatrician.

It’s fine. RSV vaccine is just some proteins to teach the body what RSV looks like. The reasons infants don’t get it is because their immune system is not yet mature so they won’t learn what RSV looks like the same way an adult immune system will. It’s harmless.

This is a new antibody protein shot and we don’t know it’s “harmless”. Doctors don’t even understand how an infant immune system works. The immune system you are talking about doesn’t work that way until 2 years of age, before then it’s a guessing game.

Can you call The Wellness Company?

I believe they have doctors who help with vaccine injury.

Much better than advice from the Internet.

I would:

  1. Find a lawyer

  2. File an official, formal complaint with every regulatory agency and hospital affiliated with that vaccination

  3. Gather all video footage of your baby over the past month and document the baby's behavior non-stop for the next several years. Video, journal entries, any new behaviors.

I noticed that my son's eyes changed after receiving a vaccination that my wife got him. Frankly, he seems off. He also screamed and cried more after that.
