As for the Pope, calling him “just a bishop” is laughable. He claims universal jurisdiction, infallibility, and supremacy—none of which are given to any bishop in Scripture. Peter was an apostle, yes—but he calls himself a fellow elder (1 Pet. 5:1), not a monarch.

David calls upon the angels in Psalm 103:20-21 as a prayer. The intercessory prayers of the saints are described in Revelation 5:8.
Jesus is God. Mary is the mother of Jesus. Therefore she is the mother of God. This isn't rocket science. Elizabeth calls her "the mother of my Lord" in Luke 1:43. Papal infallibility is one that is aggressively misunderstood. Infallibility only applies when a Pope is speaking Ex Cathedra which has happened exactly once.
Jesus HIMSELF says that the church has the authority to "bind and loose" in Matthew 16:19. Sins can be forgiven by the apostles. Would this not make them His vicars? Furthermore, even Protestants use the term "vicar" including Anglicans.

All papal infallibility means is that when the bishop of Rome is making statements that apply to all Catholic churches he can not be in err (see Matthew 16:18).

There are problems with that, for one it's an interpretation that even all protestants don't subscribe to. Furthermore, the Vatican is not one of the seven hills of Babylon as described in Revelation 17:10. The seven hills of Rome are Palatine, Capitoline, Aventine, Caelian, Esquiline, Viminal, and Quirinal. That alone shoots that idea that the Vatican is the Babylon of Revelation (not the Roman empire which was clearly the implication in the text as it was written during the persecution of Domitian) in the foot. Furthermore, Revelation 18:3 clearly states that "the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries". This implies that it is a global commerce hub (again PAGAN Rome sure as hell not the Vatican which has zero export afaik)

The commandments aren't bulleted in the text. You can count as many as 13 or even 14 commandments and as a result, Jews, Catholics AND protestants all number them differently. Protestants were the ones who altered the ten commandments to split the first commandment into two and then combined the last two into one so they could "own" the Catholics over "muh statues" (forgetting that God Himself commanded statues of living things to be made namely the snake in Numbers 21:8). Even the fucking LUTHERANS use the Catholic ten commandments. It was protestant reformer John Calvin who altered the commandments in 1545 because he was an iconoclast. Yes. I would never leave the Catholic Church as it is the closest church to the early Christians/apostles. I think we’re the only Christian Church that still believes the priest changes the bread and water into Christ’s actual body and blood.
There are many devout Catholics who don’t agree with the way the Catholic church has gone in general. And there are a few good Catholic Churches out there. You just need to find one that suits your interests or enter one and change it. Start a men’s knights of Columbus group or a women’s group if you’re female.
I found a very good Catholic Church where I live here in the Bible Belt of NC that I love. It’s very small but everyone knows everyone. We have many converts here. They seem to be especially devout I’ve noticed than those raised Catholic.
We have such a great ministry that our Deacon was even recognized by winning a prestigious award rarely given out. He visits many prisons and speaks with the prisoners. Many other men in our community have joined him. We also have a very large group of men in our knights of Columbus group who’ve also been recognized for their charitable work. We have a women’s group that provides social, religious and charitable ministries to our church and community. Because our church is small everyone knows everyone. When I needed assistance after surgery I had women offering to bring dinners to my home or to offer transportation etc. I had several volunteer to come out for a few hours to give my husband some respite
I recently finished a women’s Lenten bible study at my church that was wonderfully written. It was more of a catechism class than a bible study, though It was not really a bible study per se as you know it but took a theme and brought in bible verses to support the theme our father is a loving God . Many were thought provoking questions. Some stories of saints were intertwined
My church in NY was so progressive I actually stopped going. Apparently many others also questioned it so much so a priest had to address that the church was neither right nor left. He was saw many come in from my other Catholic church. Luckily there were several churches there to choose from.
I am male. Raised Protestant but Protestantism is very unfulfilling. I am going to check out both a Catholic and Orthodox Church this week.
Young men like me want tradition. We don’t want “lax” teachings. We want truth, structure and strength. Protestantism is fractured and has too many pick and choose followers.
